This is a review from last year. Please understand. I used it when I stayed for two nights. I was grateful to be able to use the Goto tickets I received, so I enjoyed a drink (*^^*). I arrived late, but I made it in time for the last order and enjoyed craft beer from Kyoto and a platter of sausages in a stylish and calming space. My stomach was satisfied and I slept soundly (*´ω`*)

ANTEROOM BAR There are a lot of hotels popping up all over Kyoto right now. Foreign and domestic hotels have been built everywhere. Of course, Kyoto has plenty of must-see tourist spots, with World Heritage sites scattered all around. In addition, it was a sure thing to anticipate an influx of overseas tourists coming to Kyoto for the Tokyo Olympics. However, the situation has changed drastically due to the current pandemic, and all the hotels that were difficult to book until last year now have easily available reservations. This is because there are no domestic or international tourists visiting Kyoto anymore. I had been fed up with overtourism and hadn't returned to Kyoto for about three years, but this time I needed to stay in Kyoto rather than just sightseeing. Since I didn't know how many days I would be staying, I chose "HOTEL ANTEROOM KYOTO," which I had used before because it was not expensive. This hotel used to be a 2-star or 1.5-star hotel, and was popular among European and Southeast Asian backpackers, but now it seems to have become a 3-star hotel. From a Kyoto native's perspective, the location is not ideal and inconvenient for sightseeing, but it is worth using for those who are familiar with Kyoto's geography and transportation. Moreover, there is a service called "HondaGO BIKE STAND" where you can rent Honda's 50cc bikes, which is convenient. After completing temperature checks and disinfection, when checking in, you can receive a welcome drink service at the bar. And if you stay for a certain period, you can use it anytime. On the second day of my stay, my child caught up with me, so we decided to have a welcome drink at the lounge bar together. By mentioning our names and showing our room keys, we were able to receive the service. We could choose our drinks from the menu. There happened to be a Highball & Mocktail Fair, offering two options: a non-alcoholic Raspberry Lemon Squash and a Hakushu Mint Highball, so we decided to try both. Both the Raspberry Lemon Squash and the Hakushu Mint Highball were perfect summer drinks, very easy to drink and delicious. In addition to the welcome drink, you can also enjoy one-coin shots at this bar, where you can enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverages or soft drinks. Of course, you can also take them back to your room.

I always end up stopping by here every time. There's a bar between the hotel front desk and the elevator, so it's hard to make it to my room without getting distracted. This time, there wasn't any craft beer in Kyoto that I liked, so I ended up having whiskey every day. But I just realized that there are other options besides what's on the menu, as they have various bottles available. I'll have to try them next time. Also, the smoked mixed nuts here taste delicious. Unfortunately, they were sold out this time, so I only got to have them once. If they sold them at the front desk, I would definitely take some home.

I had a drink while talking about work at the restaurant where I work and then returned to the hotel for some alone time. The hotel corridor next to my room is quiet and calming. I took some time to gather my thoughts and prepare for tomorrow. I was so engrossed in our conversation at the restaurant that I didn't eat much, so I quickly finished the snacks that came with the happy hour from 8pm to 10pm, and enjoyed some mixed nuts that were delicious just like yesterday.

The craft beer in Kyoto has a rich citrus flavor and is very refreshing. It is very easy to drink and I love the taste. The name is Habakari-san. The mixed nuts are slightly smoked, which gives them a great flavor. The bar has a relaxed atmosphere and is located in my favorite hotel, making it perfect for a quick stop between the front desk and my room.

Kyoto, Kujo, Anteroom's bar is super stylish. And on top of that, Yamazaki 12 years is only 700 yen. Compared the non-age and 12 years. Satisfied! Thank you for the meal.

I personally fell in love with Antelum Hotel. The bar on the first floor is located next to the elevator that leads to the rooms, so I find myself debating whether to stop by the bar every day. On this day, I decided to drop in. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, as the hotel itself was converted from a dormitory, giving it a modern feel. There is no barrier between the hallway and the bar, and the bartender is usually the same person you saw at the front desk. Many guests enjoy using the bar as a cozy spot to work on their laptops or relax, similar to a café. I recommend this place to those who appreciate the hotel's atmosphere, but it may not satisfy those looking for a more traditional bar experience.

I attended a delicious and enjoyable soba party at Imafuku, and for the second party, we went to a cozy bar located halfway between Jujou and Kuju subway stations. I was a bit drunk, so I followed my friend Myrebi. As I sat down on the sofa seat and ordered at the counter, I felt like I remembered this hotel from somewhere. It's because there's a famous morning food shop on Facebook. I ordered a set of 3 whiskies to taste - Glenmorangie Original, Edradour, and Singleton 6/583. It was a bit hard to drink straight as I'm not used to it. Whiskey on the rocks or highball might be the best for me. But it was a good experience. Thank you to Myrebi for inviting me. I found this affordable authentic bar that I wanted to visit. It's located in an avant-garde anteroom hotel-like place near Kyoto Station. There aren't many reviews of the bar, so it's hard to search for it. It doesn't exude a luxurious atmosphere, but it's neat. The bartender is a woman and she works alone. There is no cover charge. You pay at the counter and then choose your seat. You can also pay all at once if you sit at the counter. I'm a beginner in single malt whiskey, but they have some familiar types. I had Aberfeldy straight and then a Bruichladdich with soda. The bill came to 1500 yen. The cheapest whiskey without a cover charge is 500 yen. When the counter is full, you finish with one drink at your seat. It's quite free and enjoyable.

I visited this bar on a weekday night in July 2016. It is located inside the Anteroom Hotel, about a 5-minute walk from Kujo subway station. Even non-guests can use it. They have chess sets and it's a stylish bar with both counter and sofa seats. I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail for 500 yen, made with guava, lemon, and soda. It wasn't on the menu, but they made it for me. The taste was as expected and delicious. The service, atmosphere, and taste were all great, allowing me to relax. It would be nice if they added some light snacks like pizza to the menu, as there are few places to eat around here, especially late at night. I recommend it.

The open-type bar attached to the hotel is the best, especially when staying here, you can enjoy a nightcap without worrying about the time. You can relax until 2 am. The lighting is subdued, and there are low sofas to relax on. While you may not expect fancy cocktails, a whiskey on the rocks is only 500 yen, which is great value! Plus, there is no cover charge. This is the biggest selling point here. Additionally, regular live music events are held, and most of them are free! Listening to live music while sipping on Scotch is the ultimate relaxation. By the way, the hotel's breakfast is also recommended. If it's the off-season, the accommodation rates are very reasonable, so try staying overnight and enjoying the bar time.
