When I was taken to a club in Gion, I was told that their sandwiches were delicious and decided to order them. I got the Tamago sandwich with fluffy egg and the Mixed sandwich with cucumber, ham, and cheese. They recommended toasting the bread for better taste, and it was indeed delicious with the lightly toasted thin bread. It was a late-night snack enjoyed with champagne. Thank you for the meal.

The takeout orders are amazing, but the recognition of Gion, where this restaurant has been operating for years, is no joke. As it gets late, the phone keeps ringing non-stop. I was planning to relax inside, sipping on a café au lait while waiting, but my order was forgotten...lol

[Exploring Kyoto Series] I spent the day walking around Kyoto and ended up at a cafe that opens at 7:00 PM. Their famous dish is the egg sandwich, priced at 850 yen. It's a bit pricey, but considering the journey from trying the taiyaki sandwich to ending with the egg sandwich in Kyoto, it was quite enjoyable. I relaxed while enjoying the delicious egg sandwich and hot coffee. The atmosphere inside the cafe was a bit intense, but after seeing the beautiful sights of Kyoto, it was a nice way to end the day. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a popular cafe called Kissa-san in the Gion area, known for its egg sandwiches. Although I have never had much connection to Gion, I finally got to try the egg sandwich that I had heard so much about. I ordered an egg sandwich and a bottle of beer. The egg was fluffy and the mustard-mayo added a nice kick. It may not be Instagram-worthy, but it was a comforting taste of nostalgia. I also got some to take home and it was still delicious even when cold.

I ordered delivery on December 21, 2019. The egg sandwich was amazingly delicious, I was surprised. The egg was so melty and outstanding. It was super delicious, bravo. I was very satisfied and felt happy. The ham sandwich was also delicious, the mayonnaise was just right and I could eat it all up. I want to order more next time. Thank you for the meal. I will go again. I will give thanks to all the ingredients in this world. I'm calling for delicious food♪ The more you eat, the more power overflows♪

I went to Kyoto for work after a long time. That night, I met up with a colleague who used to live in Kyoto and we strolled through Gion at night. At first, I wasn't too excited when I heard we were going to have sandwiches. However, when we entered a snack-like shop, I saw customers waiting for sandwiches. It seemed like a well-known local shop. We placed our order and in about 5 minutes, the sandwiches were ready, freshly made with eggs. We ate them outside the shop and... It was a fluffy egg sandwich like I had never tasted before! The seasoning was so good that it could even be enjoyed as a tamagoyaki. It was incredibly delicious, a taste that you can only experience here! If I have the chance to visit Kyoto again, I will definitely go back!

The egg sandwich is famous, and the fluffy texture when I first ate it was amazing! The egg is thick and fluffy to the point where it feels like it might fall apart when held. This shop is open until late at night, so I used to order it as a souvenir or when I got a little hungry. It's a delicious sandwich from a cafe that I still crave from time to time.

It's quite rare to find a cafe open from 7:00 PM. I discovered this place while staying in the Gion area for the first time. When I entered at 7:30 PM, there were no other customers. They asked if I wanted takeout, so maybe it's unusual for customers to eat in the store. After waiting about 10 minutes from ordering, the popular egg sandwich arrived. The egg was creamy and almost too difficult to eat. The thinly sliced cucumber added a nice touch without overpowering the flavor. I started to feel a bit unsatisfied halfway through, so I sprinkled some salt. Even though I prefer mild flavors, it still felt like it needed more salt, so those who like stronger flavors may need to adjust. Since they're open until late at night, having a sandwich as a late-night snack could be a good idea. After a fun night of drinking, a gentle-tasting egg sandwich could bring happiness.

At Gion, the popular "Sun Egg Sandwich" is a must-order at most of the restaurants. I always order it when I go to the bar in Gion. The bread is thin, the egg is cooked, and it's filled with spicy mayo and cucumber. The bread is thin, the egg is soft and creamy, making it easy to fall apart when you hold it. It has the perfect amount of saltiness, making it irresistible even in the middle of the night. I once tried the ham sandwich, but the egg sandwich is definitely the most delicious! I always order delivery so I don't have any photos, but I'll try to take some next time. I think you can also eat in the restaurant, so I'd like to challenge that someday.

It wasn't a rolled omelette, but I actually liked it in my own way.

Slightly sweet and incredibly soft, melts in your mouth. I've never had an egg sandwich like this before. Definitely give it a try. It's delicious.

The shop is located in the club district on the north side of Gion. It's less than a 5-minute walk from Shijo Hanamikoji. I ordered delivery at 0:20 on a Thursday. The shop offers delivery menus at all times and is a very famous place. I ordered the Mixed Sandwich for 850 yen including tax. The delivery arrived within 10 minutes after placing the phone order. I have never dined in at the shop, only had delivery. Their specialty is the egg sandwich, but I prefer the Mixed Sandwich as it has a more varied taste. The egg portion in the Mixed Sandwich is less and thinner compared to the egg sandwich, but it pairs well with the amount of bread. It was a delicious meal.

Next to my favorite Gion yakiniku restaurant "Yasumai" is a place that is very famous for their Tamago Sand in the Gion area. I bought it for a late-night snack. I'm not a fan of Tamago Sand with crushed boiled eggs, so I love the one here with tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) in it. It's a bit pricey at 850 yen, but it's Gion, so it's understandable. It's gentle on the stomach, making it perfect for a late-night snack. It's also recommended for takeout, of course.

In Kyoto, there is a famous thick Tamago (egg) sandwich called the Corona Sand from the café Madrag, which consists of a Kyoto-style dashi rolled omelette sandwiched between thick slices of bread, measuring about 10 centimeters in thickness. I heard about this sandwich from a local and decided to try it at Café San. The café is located on a slightly narrow street in the Gion drinking district, tucked away on the first floor of a mixed-use building. The sign is the landmark to look out for. They seem to offer delivery to nearby shops as well. The café is closed during the day and only open in the evenings. It has an old-fashioned feel to it. I made a reservation over the phone and ordered a takeout. I have tried various egg sandwiches before, but this one was exceptional. The juiciness of the mayonnaise and the softness of the egg were outstanding. The runny egg on the thin slices of bread seeps into it, creating a juicy texture. It's so soft and the cucumber in between adds a nice touch.

I stopped by a cafe that opens at 7pm on my way back from seeing the cherry blossoms at Shirakawa. This cafe in Gion area is known for their egg sandwiches for takeout. The interior allows smoking and has a deep Kyoto vibe. I got a hot and fluffy egg sandwich for ¥850, which was perfect for a late night snack. The sandwich was freshly made with juicy eggs and a good amount of spiciness, along with thinly sliced cucumbers. If you find yourself in this area after 7pm and in need of a snack or a souvenir, knowing about this place will make you a true Kyoto expert.

In the quiet neighborhood of Gion, there is a coffee shop called "SUN" that stands quietly amidst the bustling area filled with famous shops. It opens at 7 pm in the evening, and it seems that the customers are mainly people who work nearby. I found this place by searching for "egg sandwich", and the photo looks very delicious. I have to go and try it for myself. I ordered the Egg Sandwich for 850 yen. It may be a bit pricey for the Gion area. The food arrived in about 5 minutes after ordering, which was very fast. The Egg Sandwich came with 5 slices and only had cucumber and egg as fillings, keeping it simple. The eggs were fluffy and had just the right amount of butter. It was delicious. I finished it in no time. Since it stays open late, it could be a good place to go when you're feeling a bit hungry.
