I pass by this small shop every day on my commute, and one day I discovered it in an old guidebook. It looked like a dry goods store from the outside, but the recommended item was warabi mochi, so I decided to buy some. I purchased a pack of 12 warabi mochi with kinako and matcha for 630 yen. The texture was soft and chewy, and it was delicious without the added kinako. The matcha flavor had a nice bitterness to it, and I couldn't stop eating them. I also ordered 3 packs of the same for gifts, as well as a pack of warabi mochi with kinako, matcha, and bamboo charcoal for 945 yen. The shop mistakenly gave me the bamboo charcoal flavor instead of the kinako and matcha, but surprisingly, it was also delicious! It was a new discovery for me, and I was happy with the experience.
