I went to Bikkuri Donkey with a friend who wanted to go there after a long time. Since it was a weekend, we made a reservation in advance. As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, our number was called, which was perfect timing and surprised us. We ordered the Colorful Set with cheese to share with my friend, along with the Squid Boat and Potato Fries. The Colorful Set came with miso soup and a choice of drink or dessert, which was a great deal. The vegetables were fresh and delicious. The Potato Fries were always served hot. I love the mayonnaise at Bikkuri Donkey. It had been a while since I had the Squid Boat, but it was delicious.

On February 5, 2018, just after 12:30 in the afternoon, I visited "Bikkuri Donkey Uji Makishima Store," which is located very close to my workplace. Despite working at my current job for over ten years, this was my first visit to this Donkey store. I informed them that I was dining alone at the entrance, and they seated me at a table for two. Although it was a table for two, there was plenty of space. They presented me with a large wooden menu board and explained the lunch menu, which was already laid out on the table. After some consideration, I ordered the "Hamburger (150g) & Young Chicken Soy-Fried Dish for 915 yen (tax included)." The food was served in about 10 minutes. The rice was cooked perfectly and tasted quite good. I was pleasantly surprised as I had expected it to be like a family restaurant. The miso soup came in a large bowl with plenty of ingredients such as shiitake mushrooms, chopped green onions, and seaweed. As a miso soup lover, I was very satisfied with the portion. The soy-fried chicken had a nice ginger and soy flavor. The chicken itself was average. The hamburger had a unique flavor typical of Donkey restaurants, with a good balance of meat and filler. It paired well with the rice. I wished the salad that came as a side dish had a bit more volume. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:30 pm, and until I left at 1 pm, there was a steady stream of customers coming in. I used to visit the Bikkuri Donkey restaurant often. This time, I visited for the first time in about a year. I arrived around 1:30 pm on Saturday and was seated right away. I ordered the Egg Burger dish 150g (764 yen). My companion ordered the Oshioshio Burger dish 300g (1191 yen). While sipping on water, we waited for a while... Our orders arrived! The daikon salad was delicious. I love the mayonnaise at Bikkuri Donkey! The amount of rice was more than I expected. The rice seemed a bit different, maybe they changed the variety? It was a bit firm and crumbly. The hamburger seemed a bit different from what I remembered, but it was tasty. The hamburger was a modest size, but with the generous amount of rice, I was full. My companion who had the 300g hamburger said it was a lot to eat. The hamburger is quite oily, so a smaller portion is just right. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Of course, the parking lot was spacious. Today, I decided to change things up and ordered a cheese burger dish that resembled fondue. I also got some potatoes. Ah, I'm so hungry. First, the potatoes arrived, as always, piping hot! Oh, I forgot to ask for mayo (laughs). I also got some salt and enjoyed the salty flavor. It was a satisfying meal as always (laughs). Next, the fondue-style cheese burger dish arrived. The cheese was generously poured over the hamburger, almost like it was covered. When I tried it, the cheese had a creamy cheese-like taste as the base. It was a strong flavor, but the juicy hamburger balanced it out. In a way, it made me want to eat more rice. I savored the taste and enjoyed eating it. I also secretly like the salad (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

They also have a Beer Festival going on. When you visit Bikkuri Donkey, you can enjoy choosing from their unique and large menu items with friends. We started with the Mermaid Salad, which has fried squid as a unique twist. The fried squid was surprisingly delicious. We also had the Bikkuri Fried Potato, which was thick and fluffy. Then, we tried the main dish - the Kizuna Max Oyako Cheese Hamburg. It's a large 450g hamburger with 300g for the parent and 150g for the child. Despite its size, it's quite manageable to finish. The staff even brought us the hamburger sauce without us having to ask, and it tasted great when mixed with rice. It may seem a bit junky, but it's a classic and reliable choice.

When I opened the door, a server was waiting and escorted me to my table after confirming the number of people. I looked at the thick menu typical of this type of restaurant. I ordered the "March daily lunch special (limited quantity)" for 627 yen, which included a 100g hamburger. The atmosphere was accompanied by nostalgic Western music. The food arrived on a plate, with the hamburger being a bit dry with less flavor, more like it was warmed than grilled. The shrimp fry consisted of two medium-sized pieces, fried firmly, and served with a mild tartar sauce. The salad included radish, carrot, cucumber, lettuce, and cherry tomatoes, all cut uniformly and mixed beautifully, topped with mayonnaise and cherry tomatoes. There was also a side dish of pickled Chinese cabbage and carrots on a separate plate. The rice portion was larger than expected, cooked firm, and made from Iwate rice. The miso soup included scallops, seaweed, and spinach for that day's ingredients. The server's movements were very impressive, and this restaurant would be very helpful when in need of a garage.

If you suddenly feel like going out for a hamburger, this is the place to go. It may have a large capacity, but the amazing service point of staying open until midnight is the reason to visit. This particular location used to be a different family restaurant in the past. The exterior is unique - it looks like a base or fortress. The Big Donkey chain has a similar design, but this one is different. The quirky interior with lots of clutter and bright lights hitting the tables is oddly enjoyable. I usually stick to the regular hamburger dish here - it's cheap, filling, and juicy. However, today I felt like trying something different and ordered the curry hamburger dish. The hamburger was buried in the curry and didn't stand out much. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really hit the spot. Despite this, I will still come back for hamburgers late at night. But I wonder if the Donkey would be surprised by that. Price range for one person: up to 999 yen (night). Overall rating 2.4 - Food 2.2, Service 2.8, Atmosphere 2.2.

After the Bon festival, the first job was to gather with colleagues in Kyoto to prepare materials for a client. After finishing the morning meeting, we ended up choosing this restaurant for lunch. There were various other options nearby, but it seems that they weren't very interested in the food itself, and simply chose this place because they could also have drinks. Since there were two smokers out of the five of us, we reluctantly went to the smoking section. Even though it was before noon, the restaurant was almost full, so non-smokers seemed to be enduring in the smoking section. In cases of smoking and non-smoking sections, non-smokers end up having to endure for a long time. I wish they would turn the whole place into a non-smoking restaurant soon. At Bikkuri Donkey, the quality of the food is not as important as the atmosphere and service. The seat we got was in the far back, so the air conditioning was not very effective, and we felt hot. When we checked on our way out, all the air conditioners were set to 20 degrees. Maybe it's a structural issue? In terms of service, maybe because of rude customers in the past, they only give out one syrup and one freshener per person. It would be easier if they just put enough for each person on the table. It's a bit of a hassle when the conversation gets interrupted. However, we were able to enjoy the tender beef and delicious pork soup, so we left feeling satisfied. When we left, there were about 15 people waiting. It's definitely a popular restaurant. Bikkuri Donkey has been expanding rapidly in the Kansai region over the past 10 years. When I lived in Sapporo, I thought it was only available in Hokkaido, but it's impressive how much they've expanded. It's perfect for families with young children.

Familiar with the popular Bikkuri Donkey, it might be perfect for families with children. The restaurant is spacious and offers a variety of kids' menus. My favorite is the "Beef Pull-Pull" dish that is only available during lunchtime. It's great for when you want a hearty meal during the day. However, it can be a bit heavy, so be careful. Kids will find the restaurant comfortable with a choice of sofa or regular chairs, and they provide children's dishes. There are thoughtful touches to keep children entertained and happy, making it a pleasant place to dine. Plus, there are plenty of non-smoking seats and the kids' menu is affordable and diverse. My only suggestion is that I wish the kids' plates had more vegetables.

The holidays are always crowded. It might be tough for people who don't like waiting. But my kids love Bikkuri Donkey! They always choose the kids' udon from the menu for some reason. And they insist that I order the Fondue-style cheese hamburger dish. So, I always order the 300-gram dish, which looks huge! But surprisingly, it's easy to eat while fending off the kids. The taste is delicious too! The hamburger sauce is really good, right?

I visited this restaurant because it is a chain store, as expected. When I arrived for lunch, the place was unexpectedly crowded with a wait of four groups ahead of us. However, we were able to get in quite smoothly. The staff seemed to be working hard, especially considering it was New Year's. I actually like seeing staff members working hard during the New Year period. It gives off a pure and dreamy vibe. I tried the cheese fondue-style hamburger, which was surprisingly delicious and quite filling. I also tried the Caesar salad, which was also tasty. It had been a while since I had vegetables like this. Eating at a family restaurant brought back nostalgic feelings. Looking at the children's snacks, gum, and dolls at the entrance made me appreciate the atmosphere of family restaurants. I hope the family restaurant vibe never goes away.

I went there! Bigguridonki! It's my favorite family restaurant. Among family restaurants, it's the best in terms of quantity and quality in my opinion! And I always order the same thing, haha. I order the potato salad packet dish with a large portion of rice, and I add an egg as a topping. This is the best for me! Putting potato salad and cheese inside the hamburger is a groundbreaking idea, haha. It's exquisite! However, in terms of cost, there are cheaper family restaurants out there, but I highly recommend Bigguridonki! I will definitely visit again.
