オヤジワラシ
I revisited the restaurant quickly. The last time I had a good impression, and it's reasonably priced and filling, so I used it for a lunch on a working holiday. The menu is the same as last time, with no small side dishes, the "kaiseki lunch" for 2,100 yen. The dashi here suits my taste, so everything I eat is delicious. The miso-marinated fish this time was a bit light in flavor. The steamed mackerel was replaced with chawanmushi. Topped with aonori. I love nori, so I finished it all. The mixed rice is a bit low in moisture, but it's fluffy and quite impressive. The dessert pudding was better than last time. If it's this pudding, then it's okay. I hope they introduce matcha pudding or something to change things up. I visit here frequently, so I would be happy if they could change the details. Maybe even at 1,575 yen at Matsukado, it might be enough... Well, I'm full. Thank you for the feast. There were customers having a party with their neighbors, and even as closing time approached, customers kept coming. It's a popular place in the local area. There are both counter seats and tatami seats.
Below is the previous review for a restaurant in Chiyogawa-cho, located north of Kameoka City. There weren't many good restaurants nearby, and I was at a loss for lunch options, but a friend recommended "Rakuna" in Chiyogawa, so I went there. I had the 2,675 yen lunch. Appetizers were served in a basket, with various side dishes such as rolled omelette, bite-sized sushi, burdock rolls, miso-marinated salmon, nuta, and Japanese-style hamburger... piled high. If they served it with rice, it would be enough. The portion was large! I didn't have high expectations for fish in Kameoka, but it was fresh. At this point, the cost-performance ratio is amazing. I thought, is this enough with rice and miso soup? There was so much food. The rolled omelette and miso-marinated salmon were well done. Each had a different intensity of dashi, so it was enjoyable without getting tired. The sashimi portion was large! The sashimi was fresh. The tempura was cooked medium-rare, which I think is skillful. Unfortunately, the oil wasn't drained well. However, the vegetable tempura was delicious! The sesame tofu was average... it lacked a bit of salt, but you could feel the sesame oil towards the end. Maybe the wasabi was too overpowering. It might be better to reduce the wasabi a bit and add a little more salt. The tempura was cooked medium-rare, and the vegetables were delicious! The pork simmered in soy sauce and sugar had a very good balance of flavors and was delicious. It might be even more refined if they reduce the fat a bit. The mixed rice was also lightly seasoned, but the rice itself was very tasty. The water is good, and Kameoka rice is delicious. I like Koshihikari rice. Kameoka is currently trending with Kinuhikari, but I like Koshihikari. It had the right amount of moisture for my taste. Thank you for the feast. The dessert was a small pudding. This was average. I think it would be better to finish with something light like warabimochi with kinako. I was about to burst with fullness. It's a surprising cost-performance ratio. It's less than half the price in Kyoto city. I might visit this place frequently now that they have a 1,500 yen option with smaller portions. I have something to look forward to in Chiyogawa. The chef is a young and nice person. You can feel at ease at the counter.
