On Friday, for the second stop, we went for gyoza at Yasubei in Meguro! After having drinks in Roppongi for the first stop, we all felt like heading to Meguro for gyoza at this place. The gyoza here is known for having thin and crispy skin, but it's more like fried gyoza. As soon as you put it in your mouth, the skin melts away with a crispy sound. Once you start eating, you can't stop. The main branch is in Kochi, and there is also a Yasubei in Ebisu, which is listed as one of the top 100 gyoza restaurants. However, the Yasubei in Meguro has the same menu as the one in Ebisu, but it's a bit further from the station and seems to be less crowded than the Ebisu branch, which is nice. We ordered: - Lemon sour - Char siu - Fried gyoza We were three people and ordered five servings of gyoza. #dinner #gyoza #specialtygyozarestaurant #friedgyoza #top100restaurants #drinkingparty #Megurogourmet #Tokyogourmet #charsiu #Yasubei

Ebisu is a popular dumpling restaurant with long lines. They are famous for their Kochi dumplings and are always crowded with tourists. The Meguro branch is located downhill from Ebisu, so it's a bit of a walk. However, you don't have to wait in line, so they can seat you quickly. If you don't want to wait, I recommend this branch! We ordered the following: - Fried dumplings - Boiled dumplings - Stir-fried garlic chives and eggs - Sliced green peppers - Potato salad The dumplings are crispy and light, very delicious and easy to eat. Many people can eat multiple plates of them. The boiled dumplings are excellent too. You put a dumpling on a lotus flower and dip it in soup before eating. I had never tried this method before, but it was great because you can enjoy the soup along with the dumpling, so the taste doesn't get boring. The dumplings are delicious just like the fried ones, so it's no wonder they are popular. Each menu item is carefully thought out, ensuring that customers never get bored. I understand why this place has become a popular drinking spot. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

The cost performance is great. The shop is relatively clean and tidy, the snacks are delicious, and the draft beer mugs are big. The air conditioning is always strong, which is appreciated in this hot summer. If you enter before 6 pm, you can get half-price draft beer after 6 pm! Up to 5 drinks, but I can't even drink 5 drinks lol. I will definitely visit again.

Around 6:30 pm on a regular evening, we visited without a reservation, just the two of us. The pan-fried dumplings come with the option of garlic or no garlic. They reminded us of the dumplings we had in Kochi. We finished with ordering ice cream, a traditional kind that was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

- Name: #Meguro no Yasubei
- Location: 5 minutes walk from Meguro Station
Impression: I went to the restaurant around 8 pm on Saturday and was able to get in without waiting. It's a famous restaurant from Kochi, and you can enjoy the same quality as the original store.
#Grilled Gyoza: The crispy thin-skinned gyoza is irresistible. They are bite-sized and dangerously easy to eat. We had 5 servings between the two of us that day.

When I visited "Yatai Yasubei" in Kochi in April, it was raining but the atmosphere was great, the yatai gyoza was delicious, they also had ramen and oden, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Yasubei has branches in Ebisu and Meguro in Tokyo, and while Ebisu often has long lines, "Meguro no Yasubei" doesn't seem to be as well-known and doesn't have as much of a line. Enjoying beer while snacking on yatai gyoza, sui gyoza, oden, and other appetizers, and finishing with ramen is the way to go. It's a place that reminds me of the yatai in Kochi. The yatai gyoza at Yasubei (you can choose with or without garlic) has a crispy and fluffy skin that is light, making it hard to stop eating. You can eat as many as you want. Before it gets too crowded like the Ebisu branch, be sure to visit Meguro no Yasubei. #Meguro no Yasubei #Yasubei #Yatai culture #Yatai #Yatai gyoza #Gyoza #Pan-fried gyoza #Chinese noodles #Meguro #Meguro gourmet #Fudomae #Ramen #ラーメン #Ramen # ===========

Visited the restaurant on Saturday around 4pm. It was already bustling with 4 groups. The dumplings were really amazing. In the end, two of us shared 7 servings. Besides the recommended menu items, the bonito rice is also recommended. Delicious! The chashu pork was consistently tasty. We drank and ate for about 7000 yen for two people. Will definitely go again! Thank you for the meal.

I visited a famous store in Kochi in search of garlic! The store was small and they had made clever seating arrangements. They led me to a table that felt like an afternoon tea set-up. At first, it felt strange, but as I drank, I stopped noticing and was impressed by the functionality... (´>∀<`)笑 I arrived just before 6 pm, but the place was lively and not quite full. The dumplings had a crispy texture, as if they had been fried to a crisp. They were quite oily, so I preferred to eat the boiled dumplings with the dumpling sauce. However, the prices were reasonable and the staff's hospitality was amazing! They made eye contact frequently and made the experience very enjoyable (๑•̀ •́)و✧ I recommend the katsu rice! Thank you for the meal!

[Good points] As mentioned on the official website, the gyoza has a unique texture that is like half of the regular gyoza skin, crispy and light. It may leave some craving for more if they are looking for the traditional gyoza taste, but you can easily eat as many as you want, making it a perfect snack with drinks. The chikuwa snack is delicious, with a nice chewy texture. The Ebisu store seems to be relatively crowded, so the Meguro store might be a better choice.
[Not so good points] None in particular.

I arrived around 5:00 PM and was seated right away. By 6:00 PM, there was a bit of a wait for those leaving... The thin-skinned crispy dumplings were to my liking! They were delicious. The thinly sliced green peppers were also a good appetizer. The lemon sour was flavorful and tasty.

An izakaya located about a 7-minute walk from Meguro Station, known for its gyoza. Visited with coworkers after work for a light drink. I love their bite-sized gyoza! Tried their water gyoza for the first time, dipping it in soup, and it was delicious. The lemon sour was tasty and I ended up drinking too much, so I couldn't eat much food. I would like to revisit again somewhere.

I had tried it in Kochi Prefecture, but this is the first time at the Tokyo branch. The classic pan-fried dumplings from Kochi were delicious, and the water dumplings I tried for the first time also had a strong flavor and were delicious. The other regular appetizers were all delicious too. The shirasu rice was delicious.

I've been to Yasubei in Kochi before, but this was my first time in Meguro. When I ate at the Kochi location, I wasn't that impressed, but the one in Meguro was surprisingly delicious. The gyoza had a generous amount of filling but was light and easy to eat. I could eat them quickly. The restaurant is small and not ideal for lingering, but I would definitely come back for a satisfying meal.

I visited the restaurant right at 4:00 PM when it opened, as it is only a 2-minute walk from my friend's house. It was not crowded, unlike the ones in Ebisu. I had already eaten sushi for lunch, so my friend ended up eating most of the food. They offer half-priced beer until 6:00 PM on weekdays, which is great for beer lovers!
- Ordered items -
- Street stall dumplings x2 ¥450
- Water dumplings ¥480
- Stir-fried pork with leeks ¥380
- Homemade char siu platter ¥480
The dumplings here are so crispy and delicious. My friend kept asking for more. The stir-fried pork with leeks was a great snack with drinks. The water dumplings were meant to be eaten with the soup. The char siu platter was also good value for money at 480 yen. It's a perfect place for a quick drink, as many people were dining alone. Thank you for the meal! Cheers!

Visited a popular establishment in Meguro for the first time in a while! As expected, it was full, but luckily we were able to get in during a turnover, so we felt relieved. The gyoza here is absolutely delicious and I love it so much! It may not be suitable for those who prefer gyoza with lots of juice, but it's a must-try for those who like crispy gyoza! In addition, the boiled gyoza and the ramen as a finishing touch are also recommended. With a wide variety of menu options, this is a recommended restaurant, so be sure to check it out!

I have visited the Ebisu location several times, but this was my first time at the Meguro location! The gyoza here is always so delicious and you can eat an unlimited amount. The popular lemon sour is also great. The snack of green peppers is tasty too! Even though I was already full, I could easily eat 1 or 2 servings of gyoza by myself.

Visited the famous store "Anbei" in Meguro, known for its delicious street-style gyoza. While the Ebisu branch in Tokyo is always crowded with long lines, the Meguro branch is a hidden gem where you can easily get a table. Located a bit away from the station, it may cater more to locals or office workers in the area. The signature street-style gyoza (496 yen) remains as crispy and crunchy as ever, almost like a deep-fried treat, with a moist filling that leans towards being meatier. You can choose between garlic and non-garlic options. The boiled gyoza (528 yen) is served steamed on a plate, with a texture closer to steamed dumplings. While it lacks the chewy texture that defines boiled gyoza, it retains a crunchy vegetable texture compared to the street-style gyoza, making it quite tasty. These are enjoyed with gyoza sauce or a broth soup. The appetizers are also varied, with options like cucumber (308 yen), garlic chives and egg (418 yen), or sliced bell peppers (418 yen), all seasoned with a similar sesame oil and salt flavor. They offer a good amount of vegetables at a reasonable price, making it a relatively healthy option even when enjoying some drinks. Lastly, reminiscing about the gyoza from the original street stall in Kochi, I ended the meal with a platter of oden and local sake, which was a delightful experience.

This is a gyoza restaurant located about a 6-minute walk from Meguro Station. I called ahead on Wednesday around 6 pm to check for availability before visiting. We toasted with yakkan beer! It's about 4 glasses worth of draft beer. I was happy to see they had Super Dry! For food, we ordered two servings of their street stall gyoza for 450 yen each, with garlic. These gyoza were amazingly delicious! The skin was thin and crispy, and the filling was packed full of flavor. It's the best gyoza I've ever had! Perfect for snacking! I couldn't stop eating them. I will definitely be back for more. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing a meeting at 16:00, my partner and I headed to a restaurant that caught our eye. "There's a super delicious dumpling shop here," we were drawn in by. When it was time to order, the phone rang and I had to answer it, so we didn't get to place our order. But when I returned to my seat, there were oden and pan-fried dumplings waiting for us... The pan-fried dumplings were bite-sized and surprisingly crispy, almost like fried dumplings. When I bit into them, juicy meat broth oozed out... And the highlight was the boiled dumplings. A special soup arrived, but I found that dipping the dumplings in the soup directly didn't bring out much flavor. I recommend trying the boiled dumplings with the sauce from the pan-fried dumplings. It was incredibly delicious. By the time I finished my second dumpling, I could taste the flavor of the soup itself and appreciate its deliciousness. Oh, and by the way, the oden here is also incredibly tasty. Hmm, this place is the best!

It is a shop located on the west side of Meguro River, down Meguro Street from JR Meguro Station. It takes about 6 minutes to walk there, but the way back is uphill. I had been wanting to try their gyoza as I heard good things about Kochi Hirome Market, Yatai, Ebisu, and Imadoki, all known for their excellent gyoza. Finally, during the Golden Week holidays, my wife and I visited the shop. We arrived just before opening time and were seated within five minutes (they open at 4:00 PM). We ordered draft beer, grilled gyoza, two pieces of gyoza, potato salad, and edamame. After toasting with the beer, we mixed our own potato salad, which had a nice tangy flavor that went well with the beer. The gyoza had a crispy texture, but about half of them had the skin peeled off, which seemed to let the flavor escape. I had bottled beer, and my wife had a lemon sour, and we both ordered a second round of grilled gyoza. Unfortunately, the second batch had the same issue with the skin peeling off. Other than that, everything else was great. By the time we left, the restaurant was almost full. Overall, it was a good meal.
