Vegan cafe located along the Kamo River near Demachiyanagi Station! You can order a latte with a dog print on it! The interior is bright with white sofas where sunlight streams in. The 500 yen salad is delicious! I got to pet Sakura, who looked apologetic for some reason. Thank you, Sakura!

It looks like a cafe overseas, and it's a dog-friendly cafe. For dog lovers, it's irresistible. The dogs were sitting on the sofa. They even sell cookies for dogs. They have a vegan menu for dogs as well. There are vegan and gluten-free options for humans too. The salad bowl was full of vegetables. The gluten-free pizza was soft and chewy. If you're not a fan of dogs, be cautious.

I visited around 3:00 pm on a regular day and there were only a few groups of customers, making it easy for even a solo diner to enter. I didn't have any specific requests for the drink, but the logo on the cup was very cute. The first floor had seats for solo diners as well as sofa seats for families and those with children, and the adjacent expanded area had main seats with glass sofas and counter seats. Additionally, there was a space on the second floor with 2-3 seats decorated in a Korean style, which was very cute. It seemed like a dog-friendly place, with hooks to attach leashes at every seat and a Shiba Inu acting as the manager, creating a cozy and warm atmosphere. The drinks and cookies I ordered were delicious, and I would like to visit again.

I went for lunch on a regular day. It's a spacious, stylish white-themed place with a bit of a Korean vibe, located just across the bridge from Demachiyanagi Station. As it's a vegan restaurant, the food menu only had two types of pizza and salad. They also had a variety of desserts and drinks. I ordered the white sauce and mushroom pizza, pink smoothie, and salad. You order at the counter and then take a seat. When I went, there were only a couple of other solo diners. After they left, it was just us, so it was quite empty. There was a very cute and quiet black Shiba Inu in the dining area! So cute... The pizza was quite small, and I wonder what the crust was made of? It was chewy but didn't have the typical wheaty aroma. Maybe it was made of rice? It was more like a rice cracker. The smoothie was refreshing with a sweet and sour berry flavor, very delicious! It might not be filling enough for lunch, but it seems like a great place to take a break during free time.

This shop is located near Demachiyanagi Station, right in front of the Kamo River Delta. It is a dog-friendly shop, so people in the neighborhood often stop by with their dogs during walks. There is a cute black Shiba Inu as the shop's mascot, which is very soothing. The interior is Korean-style and very cute, attracting many young women who come for Instagram-worthy photos. With a great view of the Kamo River, it is a rare place where you can enjoy tea with your dog. It's also a nice spot to take a break after exploring the Kamo River Delta. I ordered a smoothie (700 yen), but it was smaller than expected, so it might be better to just order coffee or something else.

I stopped by here near my regular clinic to adjust my schedule. It's right in front of Sanjugadake and Mt. Nyoi, so the view is great. I ordered a pink smoothie with strawberry and peach flavors, which was light and not too sweet. They make it after you order. I also got a Shiba Inu cookie because I was going to skip lunch. It's a bigger version of the fox-shaped one. It had a gentle taste like soy milk. The owner is a dog lover and there's a pet-friendly space too. It seems to be affiliated with a cafe run by a doctor in Sanjo Keihan. Last time I had espresso, and I was surprised by the high-grade machine they use. There are many interesting vegan options on the menu, although they are a bit pricey. But after all, our bodies are made of what we eat.

It is a stylish cafe with a Korean vibe, overlooking the delta where the Kamogawa and Takano rivers meet. I was able to spend a relaxing time there. The coffee was delicious, and the vegan chocolate cake was rich. I would love to visit this cafe again.

Located near the confluence of the Kamo River and Takano River in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City, this cafe offers a view of the so-called "Kamogawa Demachi Delta" from some seats, allowing customers to enjoy coffee and meals while taking in the scenery. Cafe enthusiasts may recognize it as the former site of the "Bonbon Cafe" mentioned in the novel "The Tatami Galaxy" by Tomihiko Morimi, which was popular for its atmosphere created by repurposing a bank building. However, it seems to have closed down at some point, with the interior and atmosphere having changed significantly. I stumbled upon it without prior knowledge and had to ask the staff if it was still a cafe. Fortunately, it had reopened last year. The interior has been repainted mostly in white, but the structure, such as the staircase, remains unchanged. Customers order at the counter, pay in advance, and the staff brings the food and drinks to the table. I ordered an iced coffee for 600 yen. The seats with a view of the river seemed to be popular and were all taken. Nevertheless, the modern and stylish atmosphere was pleasant. The coffee was lightly roasted and had a mild taste, similar to third-wave coffee. There was a constant flow of customers coming and going. I hope this new cafe will thrive for a long time.

Visited before 1pm on Saturday. There were a few groups of customers already, but most of them were sitting by the window on the 1st floor where they could overlook the Kamo River, so the seats on the 2nd floor and along the road on the 1st floor were empty. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, so the wait is likely minimal. I entered, placed my order and paid at the counter. Then I chose a vacant seat and a staff member brought my order to me based on the number tag given to me after payment. This time, I ordered a hot soy latte (600 yen) and a Planet Cookie (400 yen). Both items had a dog motif, as it is a dog-friendly cafe. The cookie was larger than expected, though a bit pricey for just one. This cafe is also vegan and gluten-free, making it a great option for those with food allergies or who prefer natural ingredients. The cafe has a light, Korean-style interior and is pet-friendly, catering to a variety of customers.

✔️ Lemonade ✔️ Shiba Inu Cookie ✔️ Plain Pound Cake ✔️ Chocolate Terrine ordered! The cookies are ¥400, a bit on the pricier side! This is a gluten-free shop~ ⚠️ There are two entrances, so be careful. It is recommended to enter from the brown one. The interior is spacious and comfortable, with the most popular seat being by the window on the 2nd floor! The staff are very kind, and Sakura-chan, the dog, is super cute. It was a wonderful shop~

There was a café under construction, and I was wondering what would be there, but it turns out that the Choise restaurant on Sanjo Street is opening a sister store in Demachiyanagi. It's a gluten-free, vegan restaurant run by a dog-loving owner, so you can bring your dog along. The location is along the Kamogawa River, in front of the bus stop on Imadegawa Street. The outdoor seating area has tables and chairs where you can relax with your dog. The interior is spacious, with a greenhouse-like room overlooking the river, and a second floor with a view of Imadegawa Street. I hadn't eaten anything all day, so I tried the gluten-free pizza with vegan cheese and white sauce, which was a bit pricey at 1800 yen for a set with a drink. I enjoyed the high ceilings and warm atmosphere, and I plan to visit again for a leisurely coffee break.

Information overload! Introducing the 2962nd vegetarian cafe in Japan from the blog of Macrobi Mouse, who loves exploring vegetarian cafes all over Japan. On November 7, 2021, we visited Cafe Planet in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, just a 3-minute walk from Demachiyanagi Station. This cafe is the sister store of Choice in Sanjo, which opened in Demachiyanagi on November 1, 2021! The interior is bright and spacious with large windows. Dogs are welcome on the terrace. The menu is all vegan and gluten-free, featuring pizzas and sweets. This time, we ordered a pizza with tomato sauce. The crust was thick like bread, giving it a satisfying bite and it was delicious! The location is right next to Mizuho Bank, just across the bridge from the No. 3 exit of Demachiyanagi Station. The riverside location is also great, so be sure to check it out! For the latest information on vegan cafes, check out Macrobi Mouse's Instagram.

"Cafe Planet" is a lovely cafe where you can bring your dog. The cafe serves delicious soy lattes with their logo printed on them. The interior is calming with a white color scheme, and the cafe manager's Shiba Inu is also adorable.
