Towards the end of the cherry blossom season, I visited Matsuo Shrine to pay my respects and it was already lunchtime. Unable to find any familiar restaurants on Tabelog, I stumbled upon Liette, located on the first floor of an apartment building. Despite the lack of reviews on Tabelog, I was drawn in by the nice exterior ambiance and decided to give it a try. Although I initially thought it was an Italian restaurant due to the pasta menu, it turned out to be a French restaurant. The interior had seven clean and cozy table seats with a pink tablecloth. The lunch menu offered three options: Pasta Set for ¥1,580, Half Rossini for ¥2,500, or Steak Lunch for ¥2,300. You could choose from three pasta options. I intended to go for something light with pasta, but the Half Rossini looked delicious in the photo, so I ordered that. My wife opted for the Carbonara pasta. Each meal came with a salad and bread, and you could choose between Gâteau Chocolat or Tiramisu for dessert. I didn't want dessert, so I chose both for my wife. The salad arrived first and the vegetables were fresh and tasty. Then came the bread, which was a bit small. Finally, our mains arrived! The Half Rossini looked appetizing. However, I noticed that the truffle shown in the menu photo was missing from the dish. A bit disappointing, but the meat was tender and delicious! The sauce, although appearing heavy, had a slightly sweet and sour taste, making it quite tasty. As for the foie gras... I couldn't really tell if it was good or bad. Oh, I wish I could have had some wine today, but I'm driving, so it's a no-go. Nonetheless, the portion was satisfying for me as I have a small appetite, but it might be a bit lacking for young men. The atmosphere and comfort of the restaurant were great, making it a delightful lunch experience. Thank you for the meal!
