During a Kyoto trip with children, I made a reservation at an izakaya near the hotel. The grilled chicken skewers, chicken salt ramen, and limited edition white liver were all delicious. The sudachi highball drink was also excellent. The service was warm and friendly, and they even gave my children some snacks on our way out. It was a great night.

I used it during my trip to Kyoto. I made a reservation because it was near the hotel. Kyoto doesn't have the image of yakitori, but yakitori restaurants are found all over the country. They were all delicious, especially the koyadofu. I ordered the recommended 8 skewers, but it turned out to be 4 types x 2 skewers for a total of 8 skewers. I don't recommend it for one person.

It was a cold night, so I had hot sake. I wanted to have a proper meal at the end, but the smoke was bothersome, so I sadly had to leave. Both the recommended dishes and regular menu items were delicious and thoughtfully prepared, so I would like to visit again. I hope they can make it a non-smoking environment. I made a reservation at the private room space, Charcoal-Grilled Chicken Restaurant "Takaraya" in Hachijo-guchi, and visited with six people (one person was added later). It's not very convenient to walk from Kyoto Station Hachijo-guchi, but it doesn't feel like a good value for money. For example, the draft beer at 594 yen including tax seems expensive for this type of restaurant. The salt butter ramen we had at the end was delicious.

After explaining it again, they finally understood, but this experience makes it difficult to make reservations through Tabelog in the future.

I often travel to Kansai and usually go to Osaka, but this time I went to Kyoto. I love Kyoto and have many favorite shops there, so I tried exploring a new one this time. It's located about a 10-minute walk from Hachijo exit of Kyoto Station. The izakaya is spacious for its kind, with just the right amount of lighting for a cozy atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of yakitori and drinks, and the taste is exquisite, making it highly recommended for those who love yakitori. They also have a lot of cassis and fruit liqueurs, which seem to be popular. I definitely want to bring my friends there next time.
