poohpooh!
In front of the Joyo City Hall, there is a cafe. I went in around noon on a Sunday. The interior of the cafe is quite spacious. There were only two customers there, so it was not crowded at all. I imagine it must be busier on weekdays with city hall employees. The menu was quite extensive, offering morning sets, lunch items, coffee, tea, fresh juice, cakes, waffles, pancakes, sandwiches, pilaf, gratin, pasta, and more. I was looking forward to having pancakes, but unfortunately they were out of pancakes. What a disappointment! I ended up ordering a fruit sandwich, and my companion ordered a mixed sandwich, along with some coffee. I had hoped the pancakes were freshly made, as I had seen waffles being cooked in the back on a previous visit. Oh well, the sandwiches were delicious. The fruit sandwich had bananas, peaches, and kiwi, while the mixed sandwich had thick slices of egg. The coffee was also good. This cafe in the Joyo-Terauda station area seems to be the best option around. The menu is diverse and satisfying. Hopefully, next time they will have pancakes available.
