The staff's customer service was good, but the taste was just average. The presentation and ingredients used were good, but the Genovese didn't look as green as it did on the menu and the flavor was a bit bland with a mild saltiness. However, the view was open and the restaurant was smaller compared to Isetan's main building, so it was calm during idle time, which was nice.

I wanted to eat a lot of Kujo Negi, so I had a simple Kujo Negi peperoncino. However, the balance of saltiness and spiciness was not as good as I expected, and the pasta was too hard. In chain restaurants, the skill level of the chefs may vary.

I went on my first crossdressing trip to Kyoto and visited a pasta restaurant recommended by a friend. They had a unique "half & half" pasta where you can enjoy two different flavors. The "Sakato Set" comes with a Japanese-style salad, Kyoto-style dessert, and a drink, which is a great deal. The food was delicious, but the service was disappointing. The staff just placed the dishes on the table and rushed us by saying "I'll bring the dessert" while we were still eating. It was a bit of a letdown.

Today, I had a day off from work so I visited Kyoto for sightseeing. I stopped by a pasta restaurant at Kyoto Station and ordered the Arrabbiata pasta. It was delicious. The night view was beautiful and the food was tasty, so I definitely want to go back again.

I visited the restaurant in January 2020 for lunch. It is located in Kyoto Cube, connected to the 11th floor of Isetan Kyoto store. I tried the winter limited edition pasta with Seigoin kabura, Hiroshima oysters, yuba, and mozzarella cheese cream sauce for 1200 yen, and added the Kamogawa set for 280 yen. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, and if you sit by the window, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Kyoto. Seigoin kabura is a vegetable unique to Kyoto, and I love it. The taste of the pasta with Seigoin kabura, yuba, cheese, and cream sauce was delicious. The Kamogawa set comes with a salad and a drink, and I chose the matcha latte, which was great. The restaurant had improved its customer service compared to before, which was nice to see. It's conveniently located near Kyoto Station, so I recommend it. However, due to the state of emergency in Kyoto, all stores in Cube will be closed from April 12 for the time being.

It was a weekday lunchtime and it was only 12 o'clock, so the restaurant was not very crowded yet, so I entered without any particular reason. Today they had a variety of pasta dishes with vegetables, and I was able to enjoy two different flavors with a half & half option. The taste was delicious. However, the seating was a bit cramped and felt a little stuffy, which was a downside. I think it would be better if the seats were a bit more spacious.

This is a shop located on the 11th floor of the Kyoto Station building. You have to go through various struggles like elevator congestion and long escalator rides to get here. The name of the shop is... um... Sentoiru? I visited on a Friday afternoon, around 11 o'clock. Although all the shops open at 11, some already had long lines before opening. No customers entered this shop right at opening. I decided to try their spring limited menu item, Uni, Ikura, and Ebi in white soy sauce for 1200 yen, excluding tax. When I ordered, I received a soup. After about 7 minutes of waiting, the pasta arrived. The pasta was thin and had a firm texture, quite delicious. When I tried a piece of Uni, it tasted like tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet). Upon closer inspection, I realized I may have never eaten cooked Uni before. It also had a spicy kick, probably from the chili pepper. Apart from the Uni, the basic seasoning was like a peppery garlic pasta. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Natural food and organic food online store, multi-format restaurant chain management, import food sales, and more are all operated by Japan Restaurant System Co., Ltd. One of their chain stores is "Sakadoiru," a restaurant with a name that reflects Kyoto. Although they have stores nationwide, this was my first time visiting. On a rainy day in Kyoto, the restaurant floor in Kyoto Station building was quiet, unlike the crowded outside world. I enjoyed a leisurely lunchtime at a table where I could overlook the historic cityscape. Since it was my first time at this restaurant, I asked for their recommended menu and chose a half-size of their winter limited menu. (There were actually so many options that I had trouble deciding.) I chose the following: Kyoto-style pasta with Kujo green onions, shrimp, and tarako butter Kyoto-style cream soup with Kujo green onions, duck, and yuba Kyoto-style miso soup Drink: Hot matcha latte Total: 1566 yen The half-size portions of two pasta dishes, which were made with Kyoto vegetables and ingredients in a Kyoto-style twist, were a luxurious and cost-effective choice that allowed me to enjoy two delicious dishes. The idea of being able to enjoy two different flavors was quite appealing. Since I love duck and shrimp, I was delighted to savor both dishes, each with its unique taste. The tarako butter pasta had a subtle blend of butter, tarako, and shrimp. The duck and yuba pasta had a creamy sauce that was so delicious that I felt reluctant to leave any sauce behind. Both dishes were well balanced with the Kujo green onions, offering an elegant touch unique to Kyoto. The seasoning was just right, with a light saltiness and a pleasant aftertaste. The medium-thin noodles were easy to eat, and the cooking was meticulous, ensuring every bite was enjoyable. For the drink, I chose a hot matcha latte from a selection of options. It came with two small marshmallows floating on top, a cute touch. The background music, featuring the soothing sounds of a koto, added to the tranquil atmosphere, allowing me to relax and enjoy my lunchtime. The staff provided excellent and attentive service. I had never been to this pasta restaurant before, as I usually don't go for Western-style food, but after having traditional New Year's dishes for so long, my body was craving something different. So, I decided to give this place a try. It was my first time here. Despite looking for a Western dish, I ordered a soy sauce-based pasta with sea urchin, salmon roe, and whitebait. It may seem contradictory, but the strong garlic flavor made it quite impactful, and the taste was good. However, the heavy garlic made me realize why I had been avoiding Japanese pasta restaurants. It's not for everyone. I also ordered a tomato-based pasta with eggplant, mozzarella, and avocado, which had just the right amount of garlic and a rich tomato flavor. It was quite tasty. However, it was disappointing that they served the pasta with chopsticks, as it made it difficult to mix the ingredients and sauce properly, leaving some sauce untouched at the end. Of course, they gave me a fork when I asked for it.

I went on a business trip to Kyoto for one night and two days. On the first day, I arrived just in time for lunch, so I decided to have lunch at a restaurant in the station building. Initially, I planned to go to a recommended restaurant from a friend who used to live in Kyoto, but there was a long line outside the restaurant, so I decided to go to Santou Inaru, a pasta restaurant on the same floor. It was a calm, Japanese-style restaurant with a clean atmosphere and mostly female customers. I ordered the Hiroshima oyster and Kujo green onion with plenty of soy sauce butter and golden ginger flavor. The dish arrived in about 10 minutes. Although I was considering a winter limited menu, I chose the Hiroshima oyster and Kujo green onion with plenty of soy sauce butter and golden ginger flavor, which uses a lot of Kujo green onion, typical of Kyoto. First, I tried the Kujo green onion and oyster together. The crispy texture of the green onion was good and the oyster was just the right size and had a firm texture. The ginger was also finely chopped and added a nice touch of ginger and soy sauce. The pasta was cooked just right and was delicious.

I went to Sukiya in Sotokanda after visiting Yodobashi Camera for lunch. I ordered the half & half with Kamo eggplant and avocado in tomato sauce, and shrimp, snow crab, and yuba in Kyoto-style cream sauce. The overall taste and interior design were focused on a Japanese style, along with the background music. It was very relaxing. The slightly strong saltiness added to the deliciousness. Thank you for the meal.

Hello. This is Ruu. I really like the genre of Japanese-style pasta. Five Right's upscale brand "Sotoin Ru Kyoto Station Building Store" Menu - Kyoto-style Tarako Carbonara with Soy Milk for ¥1,000 The restaurant is located near the top floor of Kyoto Station, with a great view, although there is nothing particularly special to see on the south side. The menu is similar to Five Right's, with options for half and half dishes. The price range is also similar. The difference lies in the many menu items that are conscious of Kyoto. I realized too late that I had eaten some of the dish before taking a photo, a regrettable mistake. The taste itself is quite delicious. There isn't much of a difference compared to the regular Five Right's, but since Five Right's itself is consistently delicious! I also ordered a sweet drink, indulging a bit. Store Information

I had lunch at a unique restaurant called Sentouru. It seems like a pasta restaurant, similar to the pasta chain store Goyemon in terms of using chopsticks and the variety of dishes. I think it's a related store. However, Sentouru emphasizes Kyoto ingredients. The staff, mostly young people, were pleasant. The customers were diverse. I ordered a pasta lunch (half & half) for 1400 yen (excluding tax). The left side was Genovese with Kujo green onions, and the right side was tomato cream pasta. I ordered it for the Genovese, but it was just delicious, nothing extraordinary. It was a bit oily, but that's understandable. I didn't feel much of the onion flavor. With a wide menu and a nice atmosphere, the prices are a bit high, but it's a place that makes you want to go back. Thank you for the meal.

Personally, I really like the chain restaurant of Yomenya Goemon. However, when I visited this particular location near the Shinkansen station, I found that the wait time was quite long. There were only two staff members - one in the kitchen and one in the dining area. The turnover of customers was very slow, with groups of two or three waiting at a time. Additionally, two pairs of customers were chatting after finishing their meals, causing further delays. It took about 20 minutes to be seated and another 20 minutes for our food to arrive. The pasta itself was bland and lacked flavor, almost as if they forgot to season it. It seems that all the dishes that day were under-seasoned. Considering the long wait time, I recommend visiting with plenty of extra time to spare. Based on previous reviews, it seems best not to have high expectations for the taste of the food at this location.

It's a pasta dish with yuba (tofu skin) and Kyoto vegetables, a mix of Japanese and Western flavors! The combination of yuba and pasta is delicious! I had two kinds of pasta with a half & half option. The matcha latte after the meal was also amazing!

There are seasonal limited pasta options and regular menu items available. With so many choices, it can be overwhelming. This time, I tried the seasonal Uni and Ikura pasta set, which also includes salad, soup, and a drink. They also offer a half & half option where you can enjoy two different pasta dishes. The drink selection includes matcha latte and matcha float, fitting for a Kyoto-style pasta restaurant. Before the pasta, they serve a salad and soup. The soup has a strong dashi flavor, but it may taste a bit instant-like. The pasta itself has a rich flavor and satisfying portion. As someone who enjoys bold flavors, I found the taste to be to my liking. The pasta was well-seasoned, and the Uni and Ikura toppings were a good match. The oil-based pasta was particularly delicious.
