This restaurant offers the best cost performance! I visited for lunch and the double main dish at this price is too good to be true. The portion size was generous, and I was very satisfied in the calm atmosphere of the restaurant. The salmon, in particular, was amazingly delicious. The timing of the service was also perfect.

It was an interesting combination of a traditional Japanese townhouse and Italian cuisine, with a calm atmosphere inside the restaurant. I enjoyed the course meal, everything was delicious! It leans more towards Japanese flavors, so if you're expecting traditional Italian, you might be surprised. Personally, I really liked the firefly squid pasta.

I enjoyed the course meal! It came with a drink all-you-can menu (60 minutes). The staff's explanation was easy to understand, and I was able to leisurely enjoy the delicious food! It seems they only offer courses, so it's recommended for small celebrations or special occasions!

This is an Italian restaurant located in a traditional Kyoto townhouse. We started with a gratin-style dish using oysters. It is a tradition at this restaurant to include fruits in the salad, and this time it had duck breast and strawberries. The fish dish was fried using cod, served with a curry-flavored mustard sauce. The meat dish was rib roast, which was tender and easy to eat. The portion sizes are not large, but the prices are reasonable and easy to afford.

I visited the Kyoto Machiya House Lounge located along the Gokomachi Street. This time, we used a private room on the second floor. The private room can accommodate up to 10 people. We enjoyed an Italian course with all-you-can-drink option. Since we were a group, the dishes were served in a shared style on large plates. The portion size per person was not too big. The drinks were all-you-can-drink with glass replacements. There were white, red, and sparkling wines available, allowing us to enjoy a variety of drinks. The atmosphere in the traditional townhouse style was nice (*'ω'*). I think the impression would change if used by a small group on the first floor.

I made a reservation through Ikkyu and visited the restaurant. In the magazines inside the restaurant, there was an interview with the chef recommending it as an introductory course for restaurants. The lunch course costs 3000 yen. The homemade focaccia bread, both baguette and focaccia, was especially delicious. Refills are available for 50 yen. The most memorable dish was the pork stew, which was tender and flavorful with a unique Chinese-style sauce. The dessert was matcha pound cake served with ice cream, whipped cream, tuile, and fruits. Fresh fruits were used in the salad and dessert, making the dishes refreshing and delightful. The explanations of the dishes were also detailed and thoughtful.

This year, I couldn't go back home for New Year's, so I used a three-day weekend to visit Kyoto. I was unsure where to spend my precious one-day lunchtime, but I chose this place. An Italian restaurant in a Kyoto machiya is already appealing, but this place has more to offer. The colorful and seasonal dishes, attentive service, and cozy atmosphere make it worth the 3,000 yen price. It was enjoyed by a family of four spanning different generations, so it can be considered a versatile restaurant. It's also convenient that you can make reservations online. While there is no parking, there are many coin parking lots nearby. If you want to have a delicious lunch in Kyoto without knowing much about the area, this is a recommended restaurant.

~Kyoto Travel Edition~ The staff member explained the dishes in detail and answered questions with care, not just going through the motions. You could really feel the love and passion they have for the food and the restaurant. It's not easy for that passion to come across to a third party, right? With the lunch course priced at 3000 yen, including the atmosphere, it's definitely worth it. P.S. I've come to love Kyoto!

On the evening of October 8th, I went to "Kyomachiya Italian Ronkus" with 8 people. We were celebrating my mother's 60th birthday with a family dinner. I actually love Ronkus and have visited many times, but I had never written a review before. I was a little worried about using it for a group for the first time, but the atmosphere was great, and they even provided a little service for the kids, so my mother was very satisfied. The dishes made by the chef with care are always delicious. On this day, we had a 1-hour all-you-can-drink deal for 5,000 yen per person. For the dessert, they even did a special arrangement for my mother's celebration. I still love this place. I only come a few times a year, but it's nice that they remember my name. I highly recommend it. Thank you very much.

I visited the restaurant on a regular night. I made a reservation the day before and had the course menu. The taste of the food was decent. I felt that the ingredients were very good, but... The atmosphere, service, and cost performance of the restaurant were excellent. The drink menu for all-you-can-drink was also very extensive. It might be perfect for using for some kind of gathering!

Renovated Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere in a Kyoto townhouse. Visited for lunch with a friend's reservation. Chose one of the two affordable set menus. Started with Parma ham and organic vegetable salad for appetizers. Parmigiano sprinkled on top was a nice touch. For pasta (4 options to choose from): clam and Kujo green onion in white wine flavor, pancetta and onion in tomato sauce, small clams and spinach in cream sauce. For the main course (3 options to choose from): Italian pork loin piccata, duck leg confit, or a dessert platter with coffee to finish. While the portions may be slightly small, each dish was presented with care and made a good impression. It may not be filling enough for men, but it was just right for me as I enjoyed wine with the meal. At 1,900 yen including tax, they are really trying hard to offer a good deal. Thank you for the meal.
