Anchovy and tuna in France ◎○... Plenty of tuna mayo on French pastry. French toast ○◎... The surface is caramelized and not too sweet. The egg mixture hasn't soaked in, but the bread itself is soft all the way to the crust. Quattro Formaggi ◎... Plenty of various cheeses and walnuts, with a strong aroma similar to blue cheese, very delicious.

Located in a residential area a short walk west from the west entrance of Toji Temple, Brother Bakery has a main store near Nishioji Station and another shop in Sanjo Shopping Street. I stopped by after visiting the flea market at Toji Temple. I think their bread is simply delicious. The prices are reasonable for everyday enjoyment, ranging from around 140 to 160 yen per piece. They offer a variety of bread with no fancy names or unique twists, just satisfying your craving for sweet bread. It's one of my favorite places to go for a treat. Thank you for the meal. There is hand sanitizer at the entrance, and all the bread is individually packaged.

A bakery located between JR Kyoto Station and Nishi-Oji Station, along the Toji Nishimon Street near the Midoi Bus Stop. With over 60 years of history, this bakery operates two other stores as well. The pink storefront is easy to spot as you enter the alley. The bright and clean interior showcases a variety of bread on trays on the shelves. There seems to be a high proportion of Danish pastries. I purchased the "Ham Croissant" and "Apple Danish". The fluffy buttery dough paired perfectly with the homemade fillings. A bakery that brings back nostalgic memories.

From the east gate of Toji Temple, go straight west until you reach the corner where Osaki Dental Clinic is located, then head south to the second house. It had the atmosphere of a local bakery in a residential area. Even though I live nearby, this was my first visit. I've been going to the dentist nearby for about three years, but I never noticed it because I usually go in the evening. Today, I visited around 9 o'clock, but there were only a few types of bread available. I think they sell different items depending on the time, as there were price tags for items like cream puffs in the showcase. I tried the following items: New Bird x2 - very ordinary but delicious, Fried Pork Bun - the filling was like the ingredients of a curry bun, and it was quite good, Sweet Potato Bread - I haven't tried it yet, but it feels substantial and I have high expectations, Anpan - I haven't tried this one yet, but I think my husband will like it. It was nice to have a bakery nearby, as our only options were Aeon or Lupan. Thank you for the meal.

Today's bakery is Brother Bakery. It's located on a one-way street in a narrow alley, but you can easily spot the bakery sign from afar. The bread is already packed in bags. However, I was able to get permission to take photos. The bread looks delicious, with many options to choose from. They even have Sunrise bread! And of course, they also sell white bean paste-filled melon bread (Kyoto-style melon bread). It seems that bakeries named Sunrise tend to sell Kyoto-style melon bread. I bought the Prince Special! They sell pudding in the refrigerated case, so I thought the pudding must be really delicious! Or maybe that was just me? Let's find out what makes it special by trying it (*>∀<*). There is caramel sauce on top of the pudding in the middle. The pudding is inside the Danish pastry. It feels like they put actual pudding instead of "pudding-flavored cream." The pudding is generously filled inside. The caramel sauce is melting. I have to eat it quickly (laughs). As for the taste, it is super delicious! It's definitely worth it compared to buying a regular pudding. I highly recommend it. Thank you for the meal!

In June 2012, I quietly visited a long-established bakery located on the west side of Toji Temple, in a residential area. The bakery has been loved for over 50 years since its establishment in the 1950s. The interior of the shop has a soft and gentle atmosphere. When I visited on a Sunday around 11 am, more than half of the shelves were already sold out. If you go earlier, they also have French bread made from high-quality fabric. I tried their Cheese Bagel for 136 yen and rated it 3.7 stars. It was a soft and moist bagel with a light texture but also a chewy feel. When you bite into it, the delicious taste of cheese spreads out. The amount of cheese was just right, making it very easy to eat. Although it lacked a bit in substance, I was satisfied with it considering the price. I was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected deliciousness of the bagel that was casually displayed. They also had Cocoa and Matcha flavored bagels available. However, due to the scarcity of products even at this time, it may be a bit difficult to visit this bakery. Thank you for the meal.

I usually buy bread at a bakery called "Lupin" near this shop, but I stopped by after seeing the reviews on Tabelog. The shop was clean and bright, and the staff were very friendly. It's not a large shop, so the variety of bread may not be particularly extensive. When I visited, freshly baked bread was just coming out, so I bought some. I got croissants, anpan, an donuts, and cream bread. The croissant was crispy and delicious, but I thought there might be tastier shops out there. The cream bread had a smooth, not too sweet cream with a fragrant and chewy bread texture, and it was very delicious. The anpan and an donuts were eaten by my wife and mother, and they both said the bread was delicious. I still had bread left over from another shop, so I didn't buy bread today, but I want to try it next time. Also, I would like to try the recommended chestnut cream bread from Aipaa-san.

Located quietly in a residential area near Toji Temple, this shop offers a variety of simple breads and cakes. I personally love their "Cream Bun with Japanese Chestnut" and their "Baby Roll" which is surprisingly filling with egg, tomato, and croquette fillings. The cream in the chestnut bun is rich and has a real chestnut aroma, making it a favorite of mine. The prices are affordable and the flavors are homey, making it a popular spot for local families.
