If you come to Fukuchiyama, there are several sweets shops that you might want to visit, but this time I will be visiting "Adachi Otomemon Satoyama Factory". I have visited the main store several times, but this is my first time here. Recently, many schools are closing due to declining birth rates and depopulation, and their revitalization is also a social responsibility. Here, at the former Saga Elementary School site on the outskirts of Fukuchiyama, Adachi Otomemon has been splendidly revitalized as a major base with a factory, shop, and cafe! First, at the shop, I bought some items: - Pure chestnut dorayaki (Ginsugi) for myself on the spot - One chestnut (Japanese chestnut) as a souvenir for my wife - One chestnut (Marone) as a souvenir for my female colleagues at work I ate the dorayaki on the spot. It had the taste of chestnuts itself, and it made me really thirsty! Next, I went to the cafe where they had gelato, which was a pleasant surprise on a hot day. When I asked the staff for a recommendation, they suggested the "Tamba chestnut". There was also a discount available with the JAF card. So, I tried it! It was delicious with lots of chestnut pieces and the taste of chestnuts. However, just like the dorayaki, it made me really thirsty. I quenched my thirst with the tea I had brought with me. All the staff members were kind and friendly. The revitalization of a closed school, bringing people together and creating vitality, is a wonderful vision that contributes to the community. I went out for a trip with ZZR and stopped by here for a snack after lunchtime. It seems like this place was renovated from an old school building, which used to be Saga Elementary School. The entrance is on the balcony side, next to the gymnasium. Inside, you can still see the strong colors of the elementary school. I ordered a cream puff, which cost ¥410 including tax. It was freshly baked today, and it had a whole chestnut inside, which was rich and delicious. The cream had two layers. I enjoyed it on the terrace seat. After that, as it was getting dark around 5 p.m., I leisurely drove back on the main road. That concludes today's outing. Good job!

Located in Fukuchiyama City, Adachi Otomon has renovated an old elementary school to create a Satoyama Factory. Visitors can observe the process of making sweets, as well as enjoy the shop and café. I stopped by after visiting the nearby Onigajo Castle. I purchased some souvenir Tamba chestnut terrine and chestnut tart. The coffee was self-service and only ¥150, which was very affordable. The restroom was new, spacious, clean, and comfortable to use.

I went to Adachi On'emon's cafe, which was renovated from a closed elementary school. I'm not a big fan of sweets, but the desserts here were exceptional. I ended up going two days in a row. The sweetness was just right and paired perfectly with tea! I highly recommend the mini donuts made with wasanbon sugar that I bought as a souvenir. It was the perfect amount for me to enjoy a little treat. The atmosphere of the cafe was also great, allowing me to relax and enjoy my tea. I'll definitely be going back for more donuts!

This facility is a renovated school building that smells sweet and nice. It used to be classrooms, but now there are cafes and shops. The pound cakes here are dense and packed with flavor. The cafe has a limited selection of items, but you can buy slices of pound cake. I bought one slice each of chestnut, fruit, financiers, and dorayaki. Both the chestnut and fruit slices were packed full of flavor. It's hard to tell if you're eating the pound cake or the filling, but that's what makes it so enjoyable. The dorayaki had a fluffy texture with plenty of sweet red bean paste, and it was delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying pound cake experience. Thank you for the meal.

I passed by and decided to stop by. The parking lot is on the premises. This time, I bought some donuts at the shop and ordered a raisin pound cake and iced coffee at the cafe. The donuts are made with Japanese sugar and have a nice level of sweetness, perfect for giving as a gift. The raisin pound cake is delicious, with a moist texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The iced coffee is self-serve and tastes great. I also tried a financiers sample, which was incredibly delicious, so I definitely want to buy it next time.

I discovered this place while on a touring trip and decided to stop by. There is a parking lot with covered spaces for cars and motorcycles. The old school building has been repurposed into a shop and cafe, with separate rooms for each. I bought a pound cake from the shop, which I found to be quite luxurious. The chestnut flavor was amazing and I was very satisfied with it. In the cafe, I purchased a freshly baked dorayaki and an iced coffee, which I enjoyed on the terrace. Despite being freshly baked, the dorayaki had cooled down a bit, but the sweet red bean paste inside was delicious. The iced coffee was self-serve from a machine similar to those found in convenience stores.

I visited the Adachi Otoemon Satoyama Factory. On this day, after visiting the shop, I stopped by a cafe located in the same Satoyama Factory. In this cafe, they sell some items different from the shop, and you can also dine in. I purchased and enjoyed the following items: - Chestnut Dream (Choux Cream) 380 yen - Chestnut Financier 100 yen - Red Tea 120 yen The chestnut financier was a bit smaller (bite-sized) compared to the shop, and I thought the price was cheap. The taste was a bit sweet, but when enjoyed with the red tea my wife was drinking, it was incredibly delicious. The red tea, which pairs well with breakfast like English Breakfast (German), was outstanding. The combination was far better than the cafe latte and dorayaki at "Un" in Kinosaki Onsen that I introduced last year. Surprisingly, the red tea was only 120 yen, and you have to pour hot water yourself as they provide tea bags. This red tea would cost over 500 yen at a regular cafe. Isn't it worth 600 yen for this set? Furthermore, the Chestnut Dream (Choux Cream) had two different cream flavors, resembling eating a Mont Blanc. It felt like I got a great deal, and it was a pleasant moment from the New Year. Thank you for the meal. I was expecting too much because the name had "Satoyama Factory" in it. Since it's newly opened, the overall operation may not be that great. The concept of renovating an elementary school is interesting, and the atmosphere is nice. However, I felt some inconveniences like parking, the entrance to the store, the separation of the cafe and eat-in area, and the location of the restrooms. The variety of sweets is almost the same as the main store, or slightly more. It took me about 1.5 hours by car using the highway to get here from home. So, I felt slightly unsatisfied to make the effort to come all the way here. I look forward to future product development.

Finally made it to Adachi Otomon Satoyama Factory. It's a shop with a school-like atmosphere. We enjoyed various dishes centered around Tanba chestnuts. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Today, on the third day of the new year, Jr. 1, my wife, and I went to Fukuchiyama. Since we came all the way to Fukuchiyama, we had tea time at Adachi Onemmon. We had choux cream, chestnut gelato, hot coffee, and tea. The choux cream had a rich chestnut flavor, with a whole chestnut inside. The chestnut gelato had a subtle chestnut flavor with scattered chestnut pieces. Thank you for the delicious meal!
