Stayed at a ryokan along the Chirimen Kaido (Silk Road) and had a breakfast-only plan, so we planned to eat at a nearby restaurant for dinner. However, there were no restaurants around at all. The restaurant we visited the day before was closed, so we had no choice but to dine at this place. Upon entering the restaurant, we found it to be quite spacious. There were table seats, sunken kotatsu seats, and counter seats on the first floor. There seemed to be a second floor as well, maybe for banquets? We were seated at a sunken kotatsu table. We started with a toast with bottled beer and draft beer. The dishes we ordered included: fried squid, fried hormone, rolled omelette with leeks, octopus with grated daikon, daikon (2 servings), thick fried tofu, egg, fish cake skewers, konjac, shredded fish cake, beef tendon skewers, medium bottled beer, draft beer, plum wine, and chilled sake (2 bottles). The oden was delicious, especially the large daikon. The beef tendon skewers were not as good as expected. The rolled omelette with leeks was decent. As for the restaurant, they have a relatively wide range of dishes on the menu, but the lack of variety in sake options was disappointing. However, since there are hardly any other dining options nearby, I think this place will naturally attract customers, especially for large groups. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
