I visited Kazusaya, where I used to work, for a reunion with my former colleagues. We opted for the course menu which cost 4200 yen per person including a 2-hour all-you-can-drink plan for 4 people. The all-you-can-drink menu included almost everything, making it quite a good deal. Despite visiting on a weekday, the place was fully booked, showing its popularity. The 10-course meal, including appetizers, was very satisfying. The yakitori was large and well-cooked, the karaage was juicy and delicious, and the other dishes were also well-seasoned and tasty. The signature Keema curry for dessert was also great. Even after the 2-hour course ended, we ordered an additional five servings of yakitori. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended in terms of cost performance and food quality in the area. Make sure to make a reservation before visiting.

I visited the restaurant around 7:30 pm on a weekday without a reservation. There was one other customer already there. I was guided to the counter after sanitizing my hands with alcohol at the entrance. This place is famous for its chicken dishes! They have grilled chicken, side dishes, salads, and rice dishes... everything you could want. The descriptions on the menu are really funny. I started with the fried chicken! Also had a vegetable salad, adult potato salad, the popular chicken hormone stir-fry, and hormone yakisoba. The salad was very generous in portion size, which was great. The fried chicken came in a big portion of 6 pieces! It was juicy with no greasiness at all. The dipping sauce with dashi and ponzu also went well with it, but the chicken was tasty enough on its own with its well-seasoned flavor! The hormone stir-fry came with plenty of leeks. It seemed to have various parts mixed in, which made for an enjoyable texture. The sauce was not too sweet and very delicious! After finishing with the yakisoba, we decided to order some grilled chicken with leek and tare sauce and salt. The salt was a special blend of various types. Both were delicious! We each had a drink, and the total came to 4000 yen. I think it's a great value (^-^) I was very happy with the free oolong tea service! My favorite was the fried chicken!! Everything we ordered was delicious, and all the staff were cheerful, kind, and cute. (laughs) They mentioned there is an oden izakaya next door that is affiliated with them, so I'd like to try that as well. This has become my favorite restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't get in before because it was full, but I tried calling just in case and got a table at Kazusaya. My partner and I went for a drink. We were already somewhat full from our first stop, but we couldn't resist ordering some of our favorite yakitori. We took a breather with bottled beer and ordered the following: Kazusaya's assorted skewers (negima, seseri, tail, breast, tsukune), plus an additional order of tsukune and pork belly. You can order just one skewer, which is great for individuals. Among the skewers we tried, the tsukune was the most delicious. The yakitori here is really tasty! The skewers aren't overly large, but they are consistently delicious. We also tried the stir-fried chicken offal with plenty of leeks, which we really enjoyed. There are plenty of other menu options besides skewers, with a variety of appetizers available. The vegetable salad was quite ordinary. Since there were two of us, we were seated at the counter. While I usually enjoy being able to watch the grilling action from the counter, we struggled to find a place to put our belongings. Later, two pairs of guests who arrived after us were seated at tables, which seemed more comfortable. I should have spoken up about it. The owner even saw us off at the end. I think many regular customers are charmed by the owner's attitude and humility. I thought this visit would be my last, but I could sense the owner's sincerity, so next time I'll start my night here and truly enjoy Kazusaya. Thank you for the meal.

For about the past 3 years, I had stopped going to this one-coin curry place, but I saw a sign saying "We're back!" and decided to visit after a long time. It's located on the second floor of a building within walking distance from Oike and Shijo. You climb the stairs and go to the back of the floor. It seems they have added a new restaurant specializing in yakitori and oden at night. For lunch, they only serve Keema curry. The regular size is 500 yen, and the large size is 600 yen. I ordered the regular size, which seemed like a sufficient amount for a woman. The Keema curry was very dark, with a raw egg yolk on top! The rice seemed to be a blend of barley. The rich curry had a good balance of the sweetness of well-fried onions, the spiciness of the spices, and the richness of the egg yolk. I briefly thought there was not enough curry sauce, but it was fine because it was so rich. For me, curry is usually an affordable menu option, but recently in Kyoto, there has been a boom in spice curry restaurants with higher prices. Places like this one, which provide a labor-intensive dish at a reasonable price, are a great help for the lunch of small and medium-sized salary workers! Keep up the good work!

A restaurant that I have been using repeatedly for the past 2-3 years. It's cheap, delicious, and the customer service is great. They serve yakitori, but their main focus is on chicken dishes. The freshness is top-notch because they use morning-dressed chicken. The taste of chicken meat changes after it is dressed, with the amino acids developing. The best time to eat chicken meat is usually around 12 hours after it's dressed, so the timing at this restaurant is perfect. It's a hidden gem that not many people know about, but even the branch manager of a certain life insurance company is a regular customer and recommends it to others. It's located near the office district of Karasuma Rokkaku, and even on Saturdays, it's fully booked (closed on Sundays). Despite being affordable for students, the clientele seems to be on the older side. Lastly, they offer a great selection of Japanese sake at reasonable prices, with options like Nanahonsayari, Eikun, and Kyotoryu included in their all-you-can-drink course priced at 3900 yen.

The restaurant was small but not noisy, and it had a sense of cleanliness. The drinks included free oolong tea, which was a nice touch. One of the popular items at this yakitori restaurant is curry, and I personally preferred tea over alcohol to go with it, so I was very grateful. Both the A set and B set of yakitori were delicious, and although it's not yakitori, I tried a dish called "tsubugai chanja" for the first time and I think I'm hooked. The price was reasonable for two people enjoying some drinks and eating to their heart's content, coming out to less than 4000 yen per person. When we left, it was raining and we didn't have an umbrella, but the staff kindly offered us one so we could go home without getting wet. It was the best cost performance with great customer service!
