Good morning. It's the day to return to Kanto. I chose this hotel because I wanted to try the tempura at Endo. The tempura young corn fried right in front of me was delicious. I had multiple helpings. I also got to eat the rice from Hachidai Yobei again. I'm enjoying a delicious coffee from Ogawa Coffee as I prepare to leave. Thank you to everyone who liked my posts and to everyone who has viewed my amateurish photos and writing. Thank you very much. I will continue to study more, visit various places, and share more food posts in the future. Thank you in advance.

You can experience the taste of a famous tempura restaurant at the hotel breakfast. This is my second visit, last time was during the peak of the pandemic. This time, there are many foreign guests. Although there are more people now, there is still a lively atmosphere. The hotel is quite luxurious, so the staff are very friendly and attentive. The tempura consisted of two items: sweet potato and young corn. They were freshly fried and crispy! The small shrimp tempura came with two dipping sauces: salt and tempura dipping sauce. The simmered dishes and fruits were also delicious. It would be great if you could enjoy this even at a lower price, like 3,300 yen for lunch. I would like to visit this breakfast regularly. It was delicious.

Today, I had breakfast at the hotel's dining area during my trip to Kyoto. The dining area offers only traditional Japanese cuisine with a focus on tempura, which is quite unique and fitting for Kyoto. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood in Gion, blending in with the traditional townhouses, yet it stands out in its own way. The lobby is on the basement floor, facing an outdoor space with bamboo where sunlight enters from the west side. The seating is a bit cramped with tables placed close together, and the staff are efficient in clearing trays quickly. The buffet offers a variety of Japanese and Western dishes, with tempura being the highlight. The tempura, especially the corn, is crispy and delicious. There are also traditional Kyoto side dishes and tasty curry udon available. The only downside is the limited space, which restricts the variety of dishes that can be offered. Overall, the tempura was excellent, but the dining experience could be improved with a more spacious setting. It might be more enjoyable to dine at En-do, a nearby traditional tempura restaurant, for dinner.

I stayed at the Celestine Hotel in Gion, Kyoto. I visited there because Endo-san, famous for tempura, is located on the lobby floor and you can enjoy freshly fried tempura. The freshly fried tempura consisted of only zucchini and corn. The shrimp tempura was served in two flavors, tempura sauce and white sesame, but they were pre-made and served cold, with a dense texture, but easy to eat in one bite. Endo-san's tempura, made with sesame oil, had a good aroma in the batter, with the sweetness of the corn and the fragrance of zucchini standing out, seasoned with salt, so it was delicious as it was. Indeed, this is delicious. There was a bowl of tea soba with matsutake mushroom tempura on top, to be eaten by pouring warm broth over it, but the soba had a certain stickiness to it, losing the flavor of the tea soba. Surprisingly, the matsutake had a good aroma, allowing me to feel the autumn season. I enjoyed various Kyoto specialties such as yuba and simmered dishes. I stayed at the Celestine Hotel for the tempura, so I added tempura and shrimp tempura, and left fully satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal.

In Kyoto, I stayed at Hotel The Celestine Kyoto Gion, where you can enjoy a breakfast buffet featuring Kyoto-style tempura from the famous restaurant Yasaka Endo. The buffet includes a variety of dishes such as tempura, grilled fish, simmered dishes, and tofu, with self-service drinks, rice, bread, and miso soup. The tempura, especially the corn tempura, was delicious, and I ended up eating too much in the morning. The miso soup was also very tasty. The breakfast buffet costs ¥3300 (tax included). I regret not accepting my mother's suggestion to have dinner at Yasaka Endo the night before, as I wanted to explore different food options. Next time, I definitely want to have dinner at Yasaka Endo as well.

Today and tomorrow, I stayed at The Celestine Kyoto Gion as part of the "Rediscover the Charm of Kyoto Travel Project." This morning, I visited the hotel's breakfast buffet for the first time. The hotel is located in Kyoto, in the Higashiyama district, a 10-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Main Line. I arrived at 6:45 to avoid the crowds, and was greeted with hand sanitizer at the entrance. I was seated at a table and given instructions on wearing a mask and gloves when getting food from the buffet. The buffet had a great selection of Japanese and Western dishes, including freshly fried tempura, corn, and zucchini, as well as a variety of side dishes and salads. The quality and variety of food was impressive, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying breakfast experience at The Celestine Kyoto Gion.

You can enjoy the famous high-end tempura restaurant Enfutei's breakfast only at this hotel in Kyoto. Located in Gion, Kyoto, Hotel The Celestine Kyoto Gion has the Enfutei store "Yasaka Enfutei THE CELESTINE KYOTO GION" where you can have breakfast, which is unique among the Enfutei branches. I stayed here to try this breakfast. The buffet style breakfast, themed on Kyoto mornings, offers delicious tempura, tempura rice balls, dashimaki tamago, and more, all cooked right in front of you by Enfutei. Every dish is so tasty and satisfying, it's a high-quality Japanese buffet experience. I couldn't stop eating the freshly fried corn tempura. You can enjoy Kyoto-branded rice, ingredients, pickles, coffee, and tea from famous Kyoto stores, which is also great.

The bamboo shoot rice made by Chihiro Ohara looked delicious, and I want to try making it with Kyoto bamboo shoots next year! Recently, a documentary about the "Miyako Odori" event, which was held for the first time in two years, was also broadcast, focusing on two maiko who appeared in a photo session last year. I recorded and enjoyed watching both of these programs, feeling like I got my money's worth from my NHK subscription for the year. It made me want to visit Kyoto again soon and reminisce about my past trips. This Golden Week, I stayed in Kyoto for 6 nights and 7 days, comparing breakfasts at 6 different accommodations. This review is about the breakfast at Celestine Kyoto, where breakfast is served at Hachiman-en Hall. The breakfast buffet was back in early May during the Golden Week, and it cost 3,300 yen per person (including tax). The restaurant required temperature checks and disposable gloves at the entrance. My husband and I took turns picking up items from the buffet, with him opting for bread and coffee and me focusing on traditional Japanese dishes like tempura. The food was average, according to my husband, who described it as typical hotel breakfast fare. The steamed rice cake, a specialty of Hachiman-en Hall, was dense and not as warm as expected. The corn tempura was better, still retaining some warmth. The rest of the dishes were also average for a hotel buffet. The fresh fruit and yogurt were a nice touch, but for the price of 3,300 yen, it felt a bit expensive, especially with the crowded atmosphere due to the Golden Week holidays. Overall, the hotel's service and room were good, and with discounted plans available online, we may opt for room-only stays in the future to save on breakfast costs. Thank you for the meal.

On a regular Wednesday at 7:00, there were not many customers when I arrived. I had made a reservation over the phone at 6:30 that morning, as the restaurant's phone line was not working, so I called the hotel instead. The current operating hours are from 7:00 to 10:00, with last orders at 10:00. The breakfast buffet costs ¥3300 including tax, and you can order unlimited items except for limited edition dishes. Each item is served in small portions, so you can enjoy a variety of dishes. There were fewer tempura options than I expected, but I particularly enjoyed the three simmered dishes and the summer limited edition dish of chilled steamed conger eel and seasonal vegetables. The shrimp tempura tortilla was also to my liking. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and cozy, and the staff were very polite. Starting the day with shrimp tempura was a nice touch. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is a breakfast buffet at a Viking restaurant. They are continuously frying tempura for us. Today, we had two kinds of tempura - sweet potato and corn. The sweet potato is soft and sweet, very delicious. My favorite, corn tempura, was served with matcha salt. The sweetness and aroma of the corn spread in my mouth, creating a blissful moment. It makes me crave beer. The tempura soba is also delicious. The broth is rich, and the small shrimp tempura is fried nicely. It's a great restaurant.

Having breakfast at the Celestine Hotel with Mr. Endo. Due to the coronavirus, the buffet style has changed to ordering from a sheet, except for drinks. I actually prefer this style as it feels cleaner. They first brought a plate of tempura, simmered dishes, sweet potatoes, and bamboo shoots. The flavors were elegant and delicious. Next, I chose various items for my plate. Everything was easy to eat and in small portions, so I was able to finish everything. Finally, I indulged in tempura green tea soba and a plate of assorted tempura. It's so nice to have freshly fried tempura for breakfast. The Celestine Hotel itself is reasonably priced, the rooms are spacious, and the location is excellent.

The bacon, which is a personal favorite, was a bit disappointingly thin. The only downside was that there was only one coffee machine for grinding beans and brewing coffee on the spot. Foreign guests always drink a lot of coffee, and waiting in line was time-consuming, so I ended up getting coffee from the takeout tank. Overall, the breakfast at the hotel left a favorable impression as a breakfast venue.

On New Year's Eve, most shops are closed in Kyoto, and the ones that are open are fully booked. So, I decided to take my friends to the Celestine restaurant in the newly opened Hotel The Celestine Kyoto Gion. We ordered the 15,000 yen course, which started with appetizers and then a variety of tempura served with rock salt or matcha salt. The tempura was crispy and delicious, especially the scallops and the wagyu beef. The taro with truffle salt was surprisingly tasty. For the finale, we shared tempura rice bowl and tempura tea rice bowl, both were good but the tempura tea rice bowl had too many prawns. The atmosphere was upscale and catered more towards tourists, with a lot of foreign customers. Overall, it was a nice experience, but the main store might be a better choice for a more authentic tempura experience. The cost performance may not be the best due to its hotel affiliation. It's a good option for hospitality and easy for beginners like me to enjoy.

I went to eat tempura at En-do located in the basement of the Celestine Hotel. The space is spacious and you can relax in chairs, so this place might be a hidden gem ^_^
