(16.11) Four months have passed since the last visit, and the menu at Shiki Lunch has changed, so I went to have lunch with my son's girlfriend, who will be getting married next year, with a total of 5 people. The restaurant was quite busy that day, and the neighboring Monsley's dishes were also cooked on an iron plate, so the iron plate was constantly being used. It seems to be quite popular. The contents of the Shiki Lunch on that day were as follows:
- Tuna Mikiwi with Baby Leaf Salad (with trout roe for added delight)
- Steamed Pot with Shrimp, Conger Eel, Matsutake Mushroom (with ginkgo nuts and fresh fu)
- Pacific Saury and Mushroom Peperoncino with Yuzu Pepper accent
- Domestic Beef Steak Fillet (60g) or Sirloin (90g) - we all chose Fillet
- Grilled Vegetables (red konjac, fresh fu, pumpkin, green beans, onions)
- Salad (you can choose from 3 dressings - we chose sesame dressing)
- Rice with red miso soup (with nameko mushrooms) and pickles (salted kelp, pickled daikon, etc.)
- Cinnamon-scented Apple Compote with Pumpkin Gelato
- Coffee or Tea
The meal started with the delicious Tuna Mikiwi, followed by the Kyoto-style steamed pot, which was like a soup with added matsutake mushrooms. The slightly spicy Yuzu Pepper Peperoncino was also cooked right in front of us and was delicious. The Fillet meat was cooked in two parts, with plenty of butter, and was tender and delicious (Japanese beef). The wasabi salt was irresistible. And as always, the highlight was the dessert. This time, a Langue de Chat was made on the iron plate, with a crispy texture, sponge cake and whipped cream mixture underneath, topped with pumpkin gelato, and finished with apple compote cooked on the iron plate with a hint of cinnamon and a delicious burnt butter aroma. The pumpkin gelato was also perfectly sweet with a fragrant aroma. This came with coffee, and if you book online, it's only 3,500 yen per person, which is very reasonable for the quality of the meal. I highly recommend it. I wonder if I'll come back every time the menu changes...
(16.7) It's bonus season again this year, and my son and daughter treated us to a meal, so the four of us came here. We usually go for buffets or all-you-can-eat options, but they enjoyed the teppanyaki lunch when we went to Tokiwa during Golden Week, so we decided to visit here. It's the same entrance as Pool Voir, but as soon as you enter, there is an entrance on the left, with Monsley on the left and Loire's teppanyaki space at the back on the right. It's a teppanyaki counter with about 12 seats, a bit small and slightly darker atmosphere than other hotel teppanyaki restaurants. The lunch that day was the Shiki Lunch for 3,800 yen (tax included), and we ordered four of them. The contents of the Shiki Lunch were as follows:
- Cold Consomme with Western-style Chawanmushi
- Tomato, Mentaiko, and Octopus Pasta
- Carabinero and Isaki Piccata Style
The meal started with a delicate chawanmushi in a consomme base, followed by a delicious grilled pasta with tomato, mentaiko, and octopus. The Carabinero and Isaki dish was also beautifully presented and tasted great.
