Hello! Gourmet food while traveling really becomes a memorable experience, right? I stayed at The Westin Miyako Kyoto and had dinner at the all-day dining restaurant "RAQOU." When you enter the restaurant, you will see a luxurious live kitchen with a beautiful buffet spread. The seating is spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed the buffet in a private room, and all the dishes were incredibly delicious and surprising! They use high-quality ingredients, and everything is top-notch. I had never tasted such delicious roast beef before at a buffet. The tempura was also amazing, and I even got to watch the chef make fresh sushi right in front of me – tuna, salmon roe, and egg. The fugu tempura was also a treat with its sweet and savory sauce. Each dish was delicious. The variety of cheese, salads, and pastries was impressive, and the freshly baked bread and pastry chef's sweets were cute and tasty. The children's menu was well-prepared, making it a great place for families to enjoy. The all-day dining experience with a view of Heian Shrine must be wonderful for lunch as well. The service was excellent. Thank you for the delicious meal. All-Day Dining "RAQOU" (2nd floor of the hotel)

I celebrated my parent's birthday with two generations of family at a buffet restaurant in a prestigious hotel in Kyoto. The buffet menu included a variety of food, desserts, and soft drinks, with one child free for every adult. The atmosphere was stylish and luxurious, making us feel like we were part of the affluent class. The dishes included roast beef, abalone, tempura, and sushi with fatty tuna, as well as a mix of Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine. During this season, they also served Spanish dishes like paella, Spanish omelette, jamon serrano, and various cheeses. The flavors were delicious, and the desserts were satisfying. We ate until we were full and were very pleased with the service from the staff. It was truly a satisfying dining experience.

The eel was delicious. It was the last day of summer vacation and there were many families. It was the most crowded I've ever seen, but there were no lines. Buffets make people happy. You can be selfish and eat as much as you like. The one who enjoys the most wins. Thank you for the feast.

I stayed at The Westin Miyako Kyoto and had breakfast at "Rakusora". There was a choice between a Japanese and Western buffet or a Japanese set meal, and this time I chose the Japanese and Western buffet. The highlight of the breakfast buffet for me was the freshly made onigiri using "Yatsudai Gibe Shirokome" rice. The fillings included tuna mayo, salted salmon, pickled plum, green onion miso, shredded dried fish with sansho pepper, kelp, simmered beef, and more. The rice was plump and soft, and the crispy nori wrapped around it was delicious. I also ordered an omelette and fried eggs. I couldn't decide on the omelette ingredients, so I asked for "all of them!" The omelette was creamy with ingredients like tomato, mushroom, onion, potato, ham, yuba, spinach, and cheese. It was so satisfying with plenty of fillings and a well-balanced taste. The fried eggs had a runny yolk that was rich and flavorful. There were also a variety of Japanese, Kyoto-style, Western dishes, salad bar, cereal bar, bread corner, and gelato. I enjoyed the variety of Kyoto-style dishes, being able to try a little bit of everything. Each dish was carefully made and delicious, and the atmosphere was great. I was very satisfied with the service and would love to stay at this hotel again. (*˘︶˘*).。*♡

I want to eat meat, so I want to eat a lot at the preview of next month's company gathering. There are various reasons, but I have conquered all the live kitchen stations. The warm and delicious food at the spacious venue a little away from home was the best.

I stayed at the Westin Miyako Kyoto Hotel and used this restaurant. As an ordinary person, everything tasted delicious to me! It was popular as it was almost full before 7 o'clock. The hand-rolled sushi was delicious. The rice was delicious. The dressing was delicious. Lastly, I had Peach Melba dessert made in front of me for the first time. It costs over 10,000 yen per person with drinks, but I was very satisfied. It's good to treat yourself once in a while.

Taiwanese cuisine is recommended for dessert! The evening buffet is not crowded and the empty plates are quickly cleared. The live kitchen, which usually doesn't have long lines, also serves dishes promptly with almost no wait. It's comfortable, and by the time you move on to dessert, more customers start to arrive. The open and comfortable space is not noisy.

On the day when I was feeling unwell, I went to this place and couldn't eat anything. It was a shock. I didn't take many photos, but they made roast beef right in front of me, and cooked the beef noodles right in front of me too. It was a Taiwan Fair that day. They also prepared sushi and tempura right in front of me. The prices were a bit high, but it was worth it!

The breakfast buffet had so many delicious dishes that I couldn't resist and ended up eating enough for lunch too. Everything was either delicious or incredibly delicious. The hand-rolled rice balls made by the chef were especially irresistible.

This is a review of using the morning service at The Westin Miyako Kyoto Hotel. It was my first stay after the renovation, and the amazing thing about this hotel is that the accommodation fee includes the use of the spa and breakfast. And the spa and breakfast are not just cheap extras, but they are both of very high quality. I didn't use the spa myself, but my husband used it twice, in the evening and in the morning, and he said it was very comfortable with a wide range of facilities including a sauna. The spa uses natural hot springs and the facilities are clean and beautiful. The sauna is also spacious and lovely. For breakfast, you can choose between a Japanese set meal or a buffet on the second floor. The Japanese set meal and buffet are served in separate areas, so it's better if everyone in your group chooses the same option. Personally, I recommend the buffet. I'm not usually a fan of buffets, but this one is amazing! The dining area is spacious and relaxing. When you choose coffee or tea at the beginning, the staff will prepare it for you and continue to offer refills throughout your meal. What surprised me the most was the variety of food! There is a wide selection of Japanese and Western dishes, as well as desserts. And you can order made-to-order dishes like rice balls made by a famous chef, omelets, udon noodles, French toast, and more. I've never seen a corner with 8 types of ice cream at a breakfast buffet before. I was worried about having to eat quickly because I had plans to go to the theater at 1:30 PM, but I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal here. I was impressed that such a fantastic morning buffet was included in the accommodation fee. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

It's been about two years since I last visited The Westin Kyoto Onsen, and this time I went for breakfast. The breakfast venue is an all-day dining called Rakusora, which is a bright and open space. The key points of their breakfast include: 1) Onigiri made with five-star rice by rice master Yatsushiro Gibe, who makes them right in front of you in a live style. The flavors included tuna mayo, kombu beef, salted salmon, and pickled plum onigiri, all of which were incredibly delicious. My family and I enjoyed eating unlimited amounts of these tasty onigiri. 2) Udon, soba, and osuimashi made with Kyoto's dashi broth. While my kids enjoyed the unlimited udon and soba, I opted for the osuimashi, which was delicious and comforting. 3) Omelettes topped with yuba are a must-try, and they were indeed delicious. 4) Kyoto-style simmered dishes, steamed tofu, and steamed red sea bream were all flavorful and enjoyable. 5) The drink corner offered delicious water and freshly squeezed orange juice, which my son loved. The cafe latte was also excellent. The salad dressings, warm tamago, fruits, and salmon on the salad were all tasty. The appetizers were plentiful, and the hot meals were satisfying. The rolled omelette and ham were particularly delicious. The dessert corner with ice cream was a hit with the kids, and I enjoyed the rum raisin flavor. Croissants and cafe lattes were also top-notch. Overall, it was a fulfilling breakfast experience, and I would love to stay here again in the future!

At around 6pm on weekdays, it's almost like a private reservation, with no time limit so you can relax and enjoy. The quality is still top-notch. The head chef at the sushi live kitchen was happily preparing sushi today. He's a great person. Enjoying a fun meal is the best. I'll definitely go again.

During the Strawberry Festival Fair, I tried the lunch buffet. The price was 7000 yen, which is a bit high for a lunch buffet, but it had value for the following reasons: - Elementary school students can eat for free up to the same number of adults - There are many dishes prepared live, which is enjoyable - The aisles and seats are spacious, making it stress-free to use - The wide windows offer a nice view (wide table spacing and aisles make it efficient to get food). The tempura, sushi, and roast beef at the live kitchen were particularly delicious (I had seen reviews before mentioning that the chefs were scary, but this time they were all friendly). The strawberry menu included not only sweets but also dishes like strawberry and bream carpaccio, and strawberry and crab risotto, which used strawberries as a sour sauce in a way that was not off-putting. In addition, there were high-quality items in the made-to-order (or should I say, pick-up yourself) section, such as chowder in a pie wrap. These are pre-portioned in small dishes, making them visually appealing and easy to pick up. In many buffets, there are often mediocre items to fill the menu, but everything here was well thought out and satisfying overall. I would definitely like to come back again.

I went for a morning walk to the nearby Nanzenji Temple. When I returned to the hotel, it was time for breakfast, so I went straight to the main dining area here. It was a bright and spacious luxury hotel dining room with great service. I started with a salad, soup, and a drink. The carrot juice tasted like it would be good for my body. The orange juice was also excellent. The corn soup was rich and very delicious. Even though I was already feeling full by this point, I decided to try some Japanese dishes. The rice was delicious! The seasoned vegetables were gently flavored and tasty. The dried daikon radish, grilled eggplant, and boiled vegetables were simple but delicious. It truly lived up to its reputation.

The welcome drink was pink♪ Dinner on a weekday after New Year's has no time limit, no lines, window seats available, no competition (there wasn't any to begin with), and it was spacious and relaxing. The sushi chef was really nice, which made the meal enjoyable. Since it wasn't crowded, they said we could order as many pieces as we wanted. The seared Kinmedai sushi was delicious, they seared each piece individually.

Around 12:30, we visited "All Day Dining Rakusora" at The Westin Miyako Kyoto with 2 people. Located right by the Tozai Line Keage Station, the high-ceilinged spacious area with a panoramic view of Higashiyama was the perfect setting for our lunch buffet. The menu included the following: - Live Kitchen (Western and Japanese cuisine, desserts) - Buffet (Seafood salad, open sandwiches, cold cuts, pizza, scallops, pork grill, chicken terrine, various fish dishes, tempura, curry, pickles, rice, miso soup, soup of the day, kids menu) - Desserts (Strawberry shortcake, panna cotta, chocolate roll cake, cheesecake, matcha warabi mochi, pudding) Some of the dishes we enjoyed were: - Grilled beef: Juicy and flavorful - Roast beef: Fine slices of tender roast beef - Seafood bowl with salmon, tuna, and amberjack - Tempura: Fresh and crispy shrimp - Various grilled dishes, fish dishes, and traditional Japanese items - Three types of curry, pickles, and delicious pudding Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience in the open and spacious restaurant with a great view. The buffet was not crowded on weekdays, allowing us to enjoy our meal without any stress. It was a delightful treat.

I am traveling around the country in search of truly delicious food. This time, I visited "Rakusora" located in The Westin Miyako Kyoto. [Area] Kyoto City area [Genre] Buffet [Awards] None [Frequency of visits] Several times [Crowdedness] Quite crowded during breakfast when staying at the hotel. [Food] You can choose between buffet style or traditional Japanese set meal. This time, I chose the buffet. There is a live kitchen for egg dishes, as well as udon and onigiri. The variety is so rich that it's hard to decide what to eat. [Space/Facilities] Spacious and beautiful space after renovation. [Customer Service] On weekdays, you cannot use the Executive Lounge, so you have to make do with this place. It can be crowded, so you need to be prepared for that. [Overall evaluation] I often use this place when I visit Kyoto. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation for an early dinner at 17:30 and was seated by the window. This time slot is comfortable as the live kitchen is not crowded. It's recommended to come early as it gets busier around 18:30. There is no time limit on weekdays, so you can relax and enjoy your meal. One of the features of Rakusora is that there are hardly any lines, and even if there are, they are for 2-3 people only. The buffet is spacious and everyone can dine comfortably. A key rule for a delicious buffet is to not overlook the rice. The sushi and sea bream were particularly delicious. The sea bream miso tea pickles, curry rice, sea bream broth ramen with rich broth, and pickles with rice were all excellent! Especially the 8th generation Gihei and pickles were exceptionally delicious. Try a bite and you'll be amazed!

On weekdays, it's a bit more affordable, not crowded (about 50% today), no waiting in line, and no time limit so you can really relax. There isn't a tower of ikura, but there was ikura available. Abalone is only available on weekends and holidays. I always enjoy the tempura fried right in front of me at the live kitchen and the roast beef sliced right in front of me at the wagon. It might seem wasteful to fill up on white rice at a buffet, but the rice from Yatsushiro Gihei is so delicious that you should at least have a bite. I was completely satisfied with everything.

Lunch buffet with unlimited time on weekdays~♪ I had been curious about this place for a while, so I decided to visit on a weekday when I could enjoy a leisurely meal. I made a reservation for 12 o'clock and arrived about 30 minutes early, but I was seated right away. The restaurant was not too crowded, with about 10 groups of customers and a few more coming in later. The variety of dishes was less than I expected. I had seen in a video before that even on weekdays they had roast beef, steak, made-to-order sushi, and a selection of dim sum, but there was no steak this time, only 2 types of dim sum, and the sushi was not made-to-order but rather a bowl of salmon roe over rice. The flavors were a bit stronger than I had anticipated. I ordered the salmon roe bowl with less rice, but it was still too much for me... I was also looking forward to the cakes, but there were fewer options and nothing particularly special. The fruits were nicely peeled and cut for easy eating, but the oranges were watery and lacked sweetness. They had Cremia soft-serve ice cream, but I don't like it so I didn't try it. They had gluten-free bread, but both types were dry and crumbly even when spread with honey or peanut cream. It was difficult to eat, even with water, and I managed to finish it but I think they should consider not serving it anymore or changing the way it's served. The lunch was quite expensive, and my expectations were high even before I visited, so I felt it was overpriced based on the experience. The service was average, but the elderly gentleman at the live kitchen station serving roast beef had a great smile and made me feel welcome. The staff in charge of desserts also handled my requests with a smile, which was very pleasant. Overall, the meal was relaxed as there was no time limit. Thank you for the meal.
