The izakayas near the station were all crowded, so I walked a little south and entered a beautifully designed izakaya. They had dishes like horse sashimi, so I guess it's Kyushu cuisine? We ordered various dishes and enjoyed them deliciously. The prices were not high, so you can enjoy casually.

This was my first time using this restaurant. I don't usually go to the Hachijo-guchi area, but I didn't know there was such a good restaurant there! Since it's a new store, the restaurant is clean and the food and drinks were very delicious. I often drink alone, so I plan to use this restaurant again.

I used it on a trip to Kyoto. I wandered around with a hungry stomach looking for a restaurant. I found a elegant-looking restaurant from the outside, so I decided to go in. Lo and behold, they had eel on the menu! I immediately ordered a half portion of grilled eel for 1980 yen. Since it was a counter-style restaurant, they grilled it right in front of me. While it was grilling, I ordered some more dishes. The homemade taro croquettes were delicious, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside! The chicken tenderloin and Kujo green onions sautéed with yuzu pepper was also very tasty. The oden was delicious too. And the eel! It was so delicious, the fragrant crispiness and the richness of the fat were irresistible. The tea rice porridge at the end was also good.

It can be intimidating to enter some restaurants alone, but peeking in from the storefront, I noticed there was a counter (maybe I won't be a bother here) and decided to go in. As soon as I sat at the counter, the kitchen staff were busy at work. On the floor, there was me and a group of three customers who arrived later. All the customers were led upstairs, seems like the place was almost fully booked. It's a restaurant known for its seafood and horse meat dishes. I wanted something comforting that day, so I chose my favorite dish. I'd like to come back next time to try their seafood dishes! 😊🍽️

I made a reservation in advance around 6:00 pm to use my GOTO points at a point-eligible restaurant. The restaurant had a stylish atmosphere and I felt excited when entering. I informed them of my reservation and was guided to the third floor where there were sunken kotatsu-style tables. The seating was calm and relaxing as I had reserved in advance and was seated at the back. Since it was early, there was only one other group of customers. I ordered a course meal, so I only ordered drinks on the day. The meal started with temari sushi and appetizers, followed by a variety of sashimi which was all very delicious, especially the sashimi. The fried dish was anglerfish tempura with a nice texture. The simmered dish was yellowtail with daikon radish, lightly seasoned and elegant. The grilled dish was Kyoto pork with salt, which was the most delicious. The meal ended with rice with herring and a soup bowl. The soup bowl was a bit plain with no ingredients, which was a bit disappointing. The dessert was matcha ice cream with a firm mochi, which I love, so it was a bit disappointing. The course meal was smooth with prompt delivery of dishes, and I was able to order additional drinks without waiting. I wish they had offered me some tea at the end. There were staff on each floor, and it seemed like the dishes were delivered from the first floor using the elevator system. The food was delicious, the adult atmosphere was nice, and the seating was comfortable with enough space between tables. I will definitely visit again.

I was taken to the restaurant by an acquaintance. The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. I had Caesar salad, assorted sashimi, oyster stew, and scallops. Everything was delicious! They also had Junmai Daiginjo sake, which made me happy and I ended up drinking it. I was very satisfied with the experience. ✨

It's strange how even at the same hotel, the recommendations vary depending on the staff. This time was no different. I asked the front desk staff for recommendations and visited the izakaya after making a reservation over the phone. It's located about halfway between Kyoto Station and the hotel, which is just the right distance. The restaurant looks very stylish and gives off a high-end vibe. We were shown to a private room on the second floor, perfect for two people. It's a cozy room with a sunken kotatsu table. First, we ordered: - Horse sashimi trio ¥980 - Horse sashimi tartare ¥800 The horse sashimi was really delicious!!! It's not often you find horse sashimi with lean meat, fatty meat, and mane. The trio set wasn't available! - Stir-fried bean sprouts ¥450 It's a generous portion! - Chicken skewers ¥650 Quite reasonable, right?? And very tasty!! At first, I thought the restaurant seemed a bit upscale, but it's actually quite affordable! I also felt like I got a good deal with the complimentary glass of draft beer from the hotel brochure!

Tonight, I felt like drinking some sake, so I wandered around and saw a charming light beyond the traffic signal with a welcoming curtain. I decided to enter and started off with a draft beer. The menu was extensive, offering sashimi, horse meat dishes, grilled items, fried foods, and more. I couldn't decide, so I asked the staff for recommendations. I ended up ordering a sashimi platter with 5 varieties, eel tempura, and dashimaki tamago. While waiting for my order, I enjoyed the complimentary appetizer of marinated kelp. The rice, cooked in a large pot at the front of the restaurant, was delicious. When my order arrived, the hot dashimaki tamago was especially tasty. I couldn't resist trying the spicy miso beef tripe dish. It was a delightful time with good food and sake. After satisfying my hunger, I unexpectedly noticed they had Kitakata ramen on the menu. Feeling adventurous, I ordered it and it was also delicious. I was completely full. Thank you for the feast.

The sashimi served at the banquet was delicious. For Kyoto standards, this restaurant has a strong flavor. There wasn't a standout dish, but everything was well-balanced. The dorayaki was a good appetizer. Thank you for the meal.

I was wandering around the Yojiro area on my way back from a business trip to Kyoto and the first restaurant I tried to enter was full. However, they recommended their sister restaurant nearby, which is where I ended up. The restaurant had a beautiful and elegant interior, giving off a sense of luxury. I was worried it might be expensive, but the prices were actually quite reasonable. We started with a toast of draft beer and were served a selection of dried fish for appetizers. Surprisingly, there was also a small silver ball included in the appetizers, which I thought was a nice touch! We enjoyed a sashimi platter, potato salad, and rolled omelette with lemon sour cocktails, and then I couldn't resist trying some local sake. I started to worry if I could make it back to the bullet train on time, but we managed to enjoy a pleasant two hours of eating and drinking before heading out. It was a great experience, and I look forward to coming back to Kyoto to savor more local sake next time!

The dishes were all delicious and well-cooked. However, there was a mix-up with the orders as some items were brought without confirmation, which was a bit inconvenient as they were for the children. The children ordered onigiri several times, and it was nice to see that the pickles served with them changed each time. The sake was also delicious.

I was truly impressed by all the dishes I received, they were all delicious (o^^o) Especially, the freshness of the sea bream and the mixed rice were delicious!

I went in with my girlfriend thinking of having a casual drink, but the store's appearance and atmosphere inside are very calm. It's perfect for when you want to have a leisurely conversation. The fact that there is a non-smoking section is much appreciated. The dishes are elegant and the flavors are refined. It's a restaurant I would like to visit again.
