I visited this restaurant during lunchtime on a public holiday. I didn't have a reservation but was seated promptly. You pay first and then get seated. They specialize in Bolognese, and I chose the popular aged Bolognese. I opted for a single size as I also wanted tea, but next time I would recommend the double size if you're not planning on eating again soon. The pasta was thick and satisfying, but the single size left me slightly wanting more. I would like to try a different flavor next time I pass by. Thank you for the meal!

★Delicious taste♡ Sauce with plenty of meat♡ Unfortunately, it seems they have changed it so that you no longer get double for the price of a single during lunchtime. I wish they would bring back the lunchtime special. One thing that has increased is the extra cheese given when you take out your food. I used it as a secret ingredient for my curry at home.

A special place worth visiting. This is a shop that offers the new trend of Bigoli in a subtle and affordable way, without compromising or mixing. While some may think that having pasta on the menu would be better, the fact that they specialize in Bolognese and Bigoli is truly commendable. Bigoli, with its unique firmness and roughness, is more appealing than regular thick spaghetti or spaghettoni. It has a hint of wheat aroma, but that's not the main focus. The chewiness is solid and each bite releases a burst of flavor. The ragu and other dishes are standard and perfect.

I happened to receive a flyer on Shijo Street and decided to visit this place for the first time, only to find out that the restaurant I planned to go to was closed. It's a Bolognese specialty shop with a variety of options. I chose the Truffle Cream Bolognese, which was rich and delicious. I thought about getting a double portion after seeing the sample, but a single portion would be enough for most women. I managed to finish it all by myself. I wish they had aprons available. I'm not sure if they do. You can pay with PayPay!

This is a Bolognese specialty restaurant offering unlimited wine drinking from 3:00 pm. You can bring your own food and drinks without any corkage fee. You can also go shopping at nearby convenience stores or department stores during your visit. They have a wide variety of wines, and it's fun to choose and pour your own from their cellar. ✨

BIGOLI, located in a back alley on the west side of Daimaru within walking distance from Karasuma Station, is a place to fill your stomach. Their menu consists only of "Bolognese." It's a rare specialty Bolognese shop. I found out that they have many branches nationwide. Their concept is like a Bolognese dish that a father would spend all day making on a holiday. The staff recommended their most popular dish, the aged cheese Bolognese. They suggested getting the double size, so I went for that. What I had: - Aged Cheese Bolognese (Double) for 1400 yen It was ready in about 10 minutes. The Bolognese was topped with plenty of stringy cheese, making it look Instagram-worthy. The pasta was thick and had a firm texture. The ragu sauce was flavorful, and I enjoyed it while mixing it with the cheese. They have various types of Bolognese, so I would like to try a different one next time. Thank you for the meal!

I decided to stop by this area for lunch after a long time, and found that the shop has changed. It is now a Bolognese specialty store, so I decided to have lunch here today. Since it was my first time, I ordered the most popular item, the aged cheese Bolognese in double size for 1,400 yen. Payment is required in advance, and only cash or Paypay is accepted. The standard size here is the double size of 240g, which is an international size. They have a sample on display, and they ask if you are okay with this size, so even first-timers can order with confidence. Despite being busy, the service was prompt. The Bolognese sauce with plenty of fluffy shaved cheese on top of it is served. You mix it with the pasta. The thick fresh pasta called Pigoli has a chewy texture. It is satisfying to eat. The Bolognese sauce has a meaty texture and is definitely different from regular meat sauce. The cheese has a mild flavor and melts in your mouth. Personally, I found the double size to be a bit small in quantity, but the taste was satisfying. The staff is also very kind. I would appreciate it if they accepted credit cards. Thank you for the meal.

"I tried 'Bigoli,' a type of fresh pasta from Italy for the first time, and it was delicious. I definitely want to have the 'Aged Cheese Bolognese' again next time I visit. The wine was also very good. I usually don't drink wine, but I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed it. This time, I tried the 30-minute all-you-can-drink option for 1,000 yen. But most importantly, I want to mention the excellent customer service provided by the staff. There were three male staff members, all of whom were very polite and made me feel very comfortable. I heard that the restaurant has only been open for about six months, but I can see it becoming more and more popular with customers. I will definitely visit again. For those who love pasta, enjoy wine, or are just curious, I highly recommend giving this place a try."

Satisfied even alone‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ It seems the store has been open for half a year, and there are still only a few customers, so the atmosphere inside is nice. Smoking is not allowed, but they are considerate to prevent smoke from other stores from entering. They offer various Bolognese dishes, and today I tried 4 types of sparkling wine and around 10 types of white wine, I lost count of the red wines... there were so many varieties available!

Kyoto Bigoli Main Store, located right outside Shijo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line and Hankyu Kyoto Line, is a must-visit for wine lovers! This restaurant offers a unique wine experience with a fixed-price all-you-can-drink plan featuring 100 different wines, including some rare selections. The options include a 30-minute plan for 1200 yen (1000 yen for first-timers), a 90-minute plan for 2900 yen, and an unlimited time plan for 3900 yen. You can extend your time by 30 minutes if you want to continue enjoying your drinks. The food menu consists of pasta, prosciutto, cheese, and nuts, and you can also bring your own food, making it a surprising and delightful dining experience. For this particular visit, we opted for the unlimited time plan at 3900 yen, which includes a complimentary glass of draft beer or highball at the start. We ordered the Bolognese pasta, a specialty of the house made with fresh pasta and no additives. The pasta was generously topped with cheese and chunks of diced meat, providing a satisfying and flavorful meal. The table also had homemade garlic oil and spicy oil for flavor enhancement, which paired well with the wines. We also ordered some deliciously tender and flavorful prosciutto as an additional snack. We enjoyed a variety of wines, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling options. Rather than filling up the glass, we tried different types in smaller quantities, which was a great way to explore different flavors. One recommended wine was the Belge Baron Rouge 2021, which had a great balance of flavor and aftertaste, making it a personal favorite. What was intended to be a two-hour visit turned into a three-hour wine-tasting experience, during which we tried around nine different wines. The staff were friendly and engaging, creating a lively atmosphere for all guests. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable time spent at Bigoli. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience. - Restaurant Information - - Name: BIGOLI Kyoto Main Store - Location: 664-7 Hantoya-cho, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto 604-8143, Kyoto Prefecture - Phone: 075-748-1570 - Website: https://www.bigoli.jp - Instagram: @bigoli_pr - Recommended for - - Solo dining: Yes - Date night: Highly recommended - Friends gathering: Highly recommended - Family outing: Yes - Business meetings: Yes

I was drawn in by the offer of getting double the amount of pasta for 1000 yen at this restaurant for men only. Before even tasting the dish, I was intrigued by the laminated sheet I received with tips on how to enjoy the Bolognese sauce to the fullest. The pasta served had a nice chewy texture and the meat was indeed delicious as the restaurant had described. They seemed to take pride in their wine selection as well, but since I was riding a bike during lunchtime, I had to pass on it. I would definitely like to come back and try it in the evening next time.

First visit in May 2023 (No.4522) 1. Purpose of visit - Selected as a lunch spot for the 3rd day of Kyoto trip 2. Shop information - Genre on Tabelog: Pasta, Wine Bar - Opened on December 12, 2022 - Shop operated by "Bigoli," a Bolognese sauce specialist - Business hours: 11:00-22:00 - Closed on Tuesdays - Seating capacity: 30 seats - Style of prepayment and having the food brought to you - Bigoli, founded in 2016, specializes in Bolognese sauce and special fresh pasta production 3. Crowdedness and atmosphere on the day - Visited around 11:00 on a weekday, no prior customers and one customer arrived after - Stylish and sophisticated atmosphere with a courtyard 4. Customer service - Service followed the manual, with the option to replace the water - Despite few customers, the staff saw us off outside the store upon leaving 5. Ordered items - Aged Cheese Bolognese (240g) for 1,000 yen - Served in 8-9 minutes with a generous topping of cheese, visually appealing - The Bolognese sauce, different from the commonly known meat sauce, had a rich meaty flavor with less tomato and no water, using red wine instead - Thick noodles with good sauce coverage, personally enjoyed - The thick noodles (Bigoli noodles) have a short shelf life of 10 minutes due to quick moisture absorption and loss of flavor 6. Summary - Located near Daimaru Kyoto store in Kawaramachi, a recommended spot for a quick pasta meal before or after exploring Nishiki Market. Enjoyed the meal.

I felt like having pasta for lunch, so I went to "BIGOLI", a restaurant specializing in Bolognese pasta made with fresh pasta. Located in a small alley next to Family Mart on the west side of Daimaru, this place offers a variety of Bolognese dishes. I tried the "Kyoto Sansho Bolognese" this time, which I had been curious about. I ordered a double portion, which turned out to be just the right amount. The pasta was thick and the Bolognese sauce was filled with chunks of meat, looking very appetizing. When I tasted it, the Sansho pepper flavor was quite strong, but in a good way. The pasta was chewy and the sauce with Sansho pepper was delicious. The meat was also large and tasty. Adding garlic oil or spicy oil halfway through made it even more delicious. I will definitely go back to try this Kyoto Sansho Bolognese again.

The restaurant had a mature atmosphere with a high age group of customers. Mozart's opera music was playing, and the beautiful green garden could be seen, creating a lovely mood. There were many sophisticated foreign customers as well. I tried four pasta dishes: sansho, garlic max, squid ink, and curry (off-menu). They were all delicious and impressive. The noodles were firm and chewy, with plenty of meat and rich, deep flavors that paired well with wine. Each pasta dish was delicious, so I think you can enjoy whatever you order. I particularly liked the garlic max. The restaurant's system is interesting - you can enjoy unlimited drinks for 3900 yen with no time limit, and you can bring your own food! They also have a wide variety of wines, making it a great deal for wine lovers to enjoy.

On Sunday, I attended a volunteer training session with my colleagues in the morning, and then we had lunch at the Bolognese specialty restaurant "BIGOLI KYOTO". This was my second visit, and I ordered the top menu item, "Aged Cheese Bolognese," in double size. The pasta had a chewy thick noodles characteristic, and when eaten with plenty of cheese, it was super delicious. The Bolognese had a 10-minute expiration time, but it didn't matter to me as I eat fast. They only serve Bolognese, but I recommend it to Bolognese lovers. By the way, the photo is a reverse shot, which is my special skill. #Bolognese #Bolognese pasta #pasta #cheese #Bolognese specialty store #bigoli #Kyoto #Kyoto pasta #Shijo Karasuma #Kyoto lunch #Kyoto gourmet #Shijo Karasuma lunch #Shijo Karasuma pasta #Yonkara #Yonkara lunch #reverse shot #forgot something

First visit to "BIGOLI", a Bolognese specialty shop that I've been curious about for a while. Looking at the menu again, I found various Bolognese dishes which was interesting. I was quite indecisive, but as it was my first visit, I ordered the most popular dish, the "Aged Cheese Bolognese". There were options for normal, double, or triple portions, and I chose the double (240g) portion as it seemed popular, although I was a bit hesitant. When the Bolognese arrived, it had a strong impact with a tower of aged cheese on top. Eating the Bolognese with the cheese, it was delicious with a nice kick from the cheese. Especially, the special fresh pasta with a shelf life of 10 minutes, which was slightly thick, was incredibly tasty. It was chewy with a good firmness that paired well with the sauce. Additionally, the garlic oil and super spicy oil on the table for flavor variation was also great. Using the garlic oil, the deliciousness doubled and was irresistible. It makes you want to try the "Garlic MAX Bolognese" someday. I'll try it next time. Looking forward to trying the Bolognese with Kyoto-grown Sichuan pepper next time.

A Bolognese specialty shop opened near my workplace! I'm heading there after work. What? I didn't know there was a road like this in the back alley! When I entered, the cheerful staff explained the system with enthusiasm. Just listening to the explanation made me feel happy. It felt like being in Italy! From the explanation, it was clear that they also focus on wine. I ordered the daily white wine for 600 yen, and the staff even asked for my preference, which was unusual. When I said I like dry, crisp wines, a French wine called "Bordeaux" was brought to me by a French staff member. It was delicious and just to my liking. As I was taking photos, the staff kept offering to help with holding the bottle or posing for photos. The much-anticipated "Aged Cheese Bolognese" for 1100 yen arrived. It was a towering mountain of cheese! Just when I was admiring it, the cheese accidentally hit the table next to us and crumbled. The staff immediately sprang into action, calling the chef to shave more cheese on top, making it even more extravagant. The pasta was thick and chewy, and the fluffy cheese was heavenly. The amount of meat in the dish was beyond generous. I couldn't tell if I was eating pasta or meat! I also enjoyed changing the flavor with garlic oil and chili oil. The garlic oil was my favorite! The difference between Bolognese and meat sauce is that the balance between tomato and meat is reversed. As I was about to leave, the staff told the table next to us to wait 7 minutes and 25 seconds for the cheese, which was hilarious. The attention to detail and the humor of the staff made the experience even more enjoyable. It was such a fun and delightful restaurant! They even saw us off until we were out of sight. To receive such great service for a 1000 yen pasta dish was truly amazing. This restaurant is a wonderful place where you can feel bright and cheerful!

Today, I had work in Higashiyama and finished in the morning, so I went for lunch. I visited Bigoli, a Bolognese specialty shop recommended by my colleague for the first time! It's located near Motomachi Ramen. I ordered the recommended Bolognese pasta and a draft beer! A beer after work is the best! The payment system was unique where you pay before receiving your food. In just five minutes, the dish arrived! The pasta was covered in a generous amount of cheese, which looked so appealing. The menu stated that you should finish your meal within 10 minutes, so I quickly mixed it up and tried it. The combination of cheese and Bolognese was delicious! The first bite was truly impressive! The pasta was thick, and the beer had a clear taste, so good! They only had forks, so it would have been better if they had spoons too. The interior of the restaurant was stylish, and the staff were extremely polite and attentive. They seem to encourage lunchtime drinking, so I would like to try that next time. They also have a la carte menu, so I would love to visit this place again. A new wine bar has appeared on Higashitoin Street, which opened just last December. It seems to operate as a pasta (Bolognese) specialty store during the day. The main attraction is the unlimited drink course at night, priced at 3,900 yen (tax included), where you can enjoy sparkling, white, and red wines without time restrictions. The fact that you can bring your own food to accompany the drinks shows a generous attitude. The management policy seems to completely disregard profits, with the owner's intention being for customers to enjoy wine without any hesitation. There are no service charges, and the only food option is Bolognese pasta (with several varieties available). By minimizing operational costs and prioritizing customer satisfaction, this is an extremely conscientious restaurant.

A few minutes walk from Karasuma Station. Today I had lunch here. The interior has only table seats, starting from a minimum of 2 people. You order and pay for the main menu, Bolognese, first. I ordered the aged cheese Bolognese in a small size. Let's dig in! There was more cheese than I expected, and it was quite a rich flavor. Personally, I quite liked the taste. The pasta was a thick and chewy type. They provide homemade garlic oil and super spicy hot oil on the table, so you can adjust the flavor to your liking. If you mix both, you can enjoy an Italian-style mixed pasta. So, thank you for the meal! This kind of restaurant tends to have more women, but there were also solo male diners besides me, which made me feel comfortable. (I forgot to take a picture of the storefront and menu)
