When I came to Kyoto, I wanted to try Tsujiri's soft serve ice cream, so I visited the store. Luckily, there was seating available on the second floor. I had a cone with matcha soft serve, shiratama, and sweet red bean paste, which was delicious. My friend ordered a smoothie topped with soft serve ice cream and nama yatsuhashi.

Tsujiri in Gion serves delicious matcha. I bought a matcha latte on my way back from having lunch in Gion. It only took about 10 minutes to purchase. It's a great place to experience the Kyoto tourist vibe. The drink was also really good! They also have soft serve ice cream, which I would like to try next time!

Located right near Gion Shijo Station on the Keihan line. This is a shop of Tsujiri on the south side of Shijo Street. They have a wide variety of tea-related souvenirs. You can also buy sweets and soft serve ice cream here. The second floor is a small eat-in space. Make sure to secure a seat on the second floor before ordering! Then you can relax and enjoy your food after ordering and receiving your items on the first floor. There are also restrooms on the second floor. Since the Kamogawa River is right next to it, it might be nice to eat by the river when the weather is good. There don't seem to be any crows around here. Crows are dangerous around the Kamogawa River near places like Shimogamo Shrine. This time, I tried the "Kyoto Parfait," a luxurious version of matcha soft serve ice cream. It cost around 700 yen including tax. It was topped with red bean paste and shiratama, and I was very satisfied. But you know, Tsujiri's matcha soft serve ice cream is just delicious. So if it were me, for this price, I might have wanted to eat more of just the matcha soft serve ice cream (laughs). The second floor has many counter seats, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Kyoto was sunny and warm on this day, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The city was bustling with tourists, including many from overseas. I decided to go cherry blossom viewing as well. I visited Tsujiri Kyoto on Shijo Street, where you can order at the counter on the first floor and enjoy your food and drinks on the second floor, or take them to go. I got a Kyoto Latte Strong Tea to accompany my cherry blossom viewing. The small size cost 462 yen. After leaving Tsujiri, I crossed the Shijo Bridge and walked along the cherry blossom trees lining the Takase River. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and the snow lanterns added a charming atmosphere. People were enjoying the cherry blossoms in their own ways. I took my first sip of the Kyoto Latte Strong Tea, and even in the small size, it was quite satisfying. It was already hot enough to break a sweat, so the cold drink was refreshing. The whipped cream had started to melt, but the rich tea flavor was still prominent. I found it convenient to enjoy Tsujiri's flavors freely with a takeout option during this lovely season.

I was tired from walking and on my way west on Shijo Street, I had to give up on the crowded Tsujiri Cafe and continued towards Kawaramachi. But then, I found another Tsujiri Cafe! I immediately bought some ice cream and went up to the second floor. The annoying part was that you have to go up the stairs, choose a seat, go back down to make your purchase, and then go back up the stairs again. When I asked the staff if the seats upstairs were available, they didn't know. Kyoto is bold, and Tsujiri is bold too.

When passing by, a friend wanted to stop by so I visited. There is an eat-in space on the second floor where you can serve yourself. It was around 2:25 pm on the weekend and there were a few empty seats, so we were able to use it without waiting. Tsujiri Soft Matcha for 682 yen is made by doubling the amount of matcha, resulting in a very rich taste. It might be pleasing for those who love matcha because the flavor is stronger than expected. There is also a variety of other drinks available, making it a suitable place for a quick break.

I used it when I was tired of walking. For dining in, you first secure a seat on the second floor and then order at the counter on the first floor. The shop is small with counter seats and several 2-4 person tables, giving the impression of a decent seating capacity. According to the official page, there are "34 seats." When I visited after 5 pm, there were few customers. The menu offers items like matcha latte, hojicha latte, matcha smoothie, and other Japanese tea cafe-like options. There are also sweet treats like soft serve ice cream. I ordered hojicha ¥275 (tax included) and Uji sencha ¥275 (tax included). I had warm drinks. It's nice to have options besides sweet drinks. And they brewed both of these after ordering! The location near Yasaka Shrine and Gion is always busy. There was a bit of tension among the staff, making me feel a little sorry. The older staff members were more smiley and friendly. There is also a space for selling products on the first floor, where you can buy souvenirs. They also sell Tsujiri tea leaves. I forgot to buy them, but I wanted to buy some when I went to Kyoto. A warm cup of Uji tea was a relief. It gave my heart and legs a rest, and I felt energized to explore the streets of Kyoto. The dining space is simple and a bit cramped for relaxing, but it was a perfect place for a break. They also have a restroom. Summary: Tsujiri and Gion Tsujiri are different. There is a dining space and a restroom on the second floor. They also sell tea leaves and souvenirs. Regular tea is also available on the drink menu.

At the end of my trip to Kyoto, I visited a café with a friend. Kyoto is famous for its Uji matcha, so we enjoyed various matcha treats. We ordered on the first floor and ate on the second floor. It was convenient to have an eat-in space after walking around Kyoto. We treated our tired bodies with sweet treats. I had a Kyoto latte and a hot matcha cupcake, both of which had a rich matcha flavor and were delicious.

I had a matcha soft serve with sweet potatoes, which is only available in autumn. I visited the store just before closing time, but they efficiently made it for me, and I was able to sit and enjoy it on the second floor seating area. It's conveniently located near the station, so it was nice to stop by easily to wrap up my Kyoto sightseeing. They also sell souvenirs. Thank you for the meal.

During my trip to Kyoto, I took a break at this place after walking around for a while. It's self-service and convenient with seating on the second floor. I wanted to try the matcha soft serve, but since it was before dinner, I opted for a green tea drink instead. They offer both sweet and non-sweet options, which is great after indulging in sweet treats. It's nice that they also have regular tea options like roasted green tea.

Located on the main street of Gion Shijo, this self-service restaurant is constantly bustling with people. Many customers tend to stay for a long time. Around 5 pm on weekdays, it was almost full, and I managed to snag the last two seats. Even after that, there were still people coming in to check for available seats, but many ended up giving up. It seems like everyone is tired, as even after finishing their meal, they continue to linger. There are outlets at the counter, and the staff do not rush customers to leave after they finish eating. Due to the slow turnover, it's best to give up when it's full. [What I had] Green Tea ¥385 - Not too sweet and delicious. While not a destination spot, it's a convenient place to know about. Thank you for the meal!

My husband found this chocolate. It was purchased for him. It is a limited edition box of 7 Uji matcha chocolates. The combination of Uji matcha and white chocolate creates a smooth and deep matcha flavor. The shape is stylish and we enjoyed the delicious taste.

The streets in the area are still crowded, but surprisingly, this shop had no line and we were able to secure seats smoothly. It is a self-service shop, so first secure a seat on the second floor and then place your order on the first floor. I had the Kyoto Latte Strong Tea Hot in size Large, and it had a strong sweetness rather than the aroma and flavor of the tea. You can also charge your phone at the counter seats, making it a good place to take a break while exploring Kyoto. It was not crowded, so it might be a good option for a little rest.

I love Tsujiri so much~(^-^)/ Especially their parfaits and matcha soft serve ice cream are my favorites~ Also, their matcha chocolates are dangerously delicious~ I recently got the "Kyoto Tea Rusk Matcha" 5-piece pack for 540 yen (583 yen). It's an oval-shaped crispy biscuit about 1 cm thick, coated with Tsujiri's Uji matcha chocolate on one side and the sides. The back side is plain white bread. The matcha chocolate is slightly thick and has a very elegant sweetness. It has a subtle bitterness with a refreshing aftertaste that doesn't leave a lingering sweetness in the mouth. It's definitely a great choice~(^-^)

I ate a takeaway matcha & milk soft serve ice cream! It cost 432 yen, which was surprisingly reasonable. The round white chocolate with "Tsujiri" written on it was also delicious! I think I actually prefer the milk flavor (lol). They make it quickly after you order, so I recommend eating it quickly before it melts!

Tsujiri Kyoto store in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto (Keihan Gion Shijo). ♡ Matcha tiramisu with rich matcha flavor♪♪. It is a self-service cafe, so it felt less crowded compared to nearby Tsujiri stores. #TsujiriKyotoStore #Tsujiri #GionShijo #Matcha #Cafe #MatchaCake #MatchaTiramisu #Sweets #KyotoSweets #KyotoGourmet #SweetsLover #KyotoFoodTour #Takeout #LovePlantsMan #LoveSun #ABCDE #Let'sEatInKyoto #KyotoCafe #KyotoFood #InstaFood #LovePlantsManSweets

Established in the first year of the Man'en era in Kyoto Uji, the long-established store "Tsujiri" sells a souvenir called "Kyoto Tea Rusk". Thinly sliced baguettes are gently and carefully baked, then coated with Tsujiri's Uji matcha chocolate. It has a crispy and light texture, with a soft dough and a subtle matcha flavor.

When I went to Kyoto, I decided to visit Tsujiri, which my friends had recommended. Even though they all said it was a must-visit, I had never been there before, so I finally got the chance to go. The soft serve ice cream on top was rich and delicious, and the red bean paste had a very elegant sweetness. I realized that the matcha frappuccino I usually drink elsewhere is definitely different. I am planning to go to Kyoto again soon, so I want to try other drinks as well.

Since my school trip to Kyoto, I visited a place called "Tsujiri" recommended by a friend who lives in Hyogo. I regret and repent for underestimating the level of matcha. The matcha at Tsujiri was delicious, with a strong yet not overpowering taste.

Tsujiri Kawaramachi Opa store seems to be closed now, but there are many other stores as well. They offer Kyoto-style sweets like matcha soft serve with white bean paste and Yatsuhashi. I'm not sure if they still have it, but it's a must-try when in Kyoto! The soft serve had a luxurious feel to it, making me feel indulgent!
