I had high expectations for the bar run by Sasaki, but personally, it didn't leave that much of an impression on me. The appetizers were delicious, but considering the many other great restaurants in Kyoto, I didn't find it exceptionally amazing. In terms of cost performance, I would choose another place.

#Gion Rakumi, a bar managed by Gion Sasagi, located next to Gion Rakumi, offers authentic cuisine prepared by a chef who trained at Sasagi. However, after indulging too much, I can't remember what I ate, whether it was cheese, rice cakes, or clam.

I had heard about this place being open but didn't have a chance to visit until today. The "BAR" sent off by Gion Sasaki had a great finish, making me think, "This could be used for a second party as well, right?" And to top it off, they even had an "Omelette Rice" that is perfect for egg lovers like me. It was a tearjerker. They served dishes that exceeded the quality of a typical bar. I left the restaurant completely satisfied. Please raise a toast with everyone. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

After finishing dinner at "Rakumi" around 7 PM, I checked the time and saw that they had extended their shortened business hours until 9 PM. So, I still had about 2 hours left. Since it was right next door, I decided to visit the bar run by the same people at "Gion Sasaki." The staff at "Rakumi" kindly guided me to the bar, which had a Japanese-style atmosphere. I was surprised to see a variety of whiskies available. For my first drink, my wife had a Gin & Tonic made with Tanqueray London Dry Gin, while I had a Double Highball made with Suntory Hakushu. Looking at the menu, I noticed they had dishes like a Beef Cutlet Sandwich. The staff at "Rakumi" also brought over some dishes for us to enjoy. For our next round, my wife had a white wine called Bourgogne Chardonnay Les Magny Domaine Bernard Millot, and I stuck with the Double Highball. Although I wanted to try the Beef Cutlet Sandwich, I had already eaten a lot at "Rakumi" so I had to pass. Both "Rakumi" and "Shokubaa Rakumi" were fantastic establishments, and I will definitely be coming back to visit them again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Hidden gem "Shokubaa Rakumi"☆ Always prepared with fresh fruits and they make delicious cocktails♪ Rich in vitamins, highly recommended for women❣ The food is also delicious, as expected from Gion Sasaki. Gourmet Pork Gion, a restaurant run by Mr. Saki, has opened a new place called "Gion Rakumi" where you can enjoy delicious food every day. It is located a 7-minute walk from Gion Shijo Station. On the south side of Gion, there are only a few famous bars such as Gion Sanboa and Finlandia Bar, so it's great to have another option! It's located next to "Gion Rakumi". There are only 8 counter seats. It's a stylish bar-like space. What sets this place apart from other bars is that not only do they serve alcohol, but also the chefs trained by Mr. Saki at Gion provide a special dish exclusively at Gion Rakumi. The drinks we had: - Cannonball Cocktail: Made by squeezing fresh fruits. - Pineapple Cocktail: The chef himself shakes it for you. It was a bit sour. The dishes we had: - Beef Cutlet Sandwich: They use meat purchased in bulk at Gion Saki, particularly a wonderful cut believed to be Chateaubriand. It was made in front of us after ordering and arrived in about 15 minutes. The meat was thick and had a beautiful pink color inside. It was a delicious beef cutlet sandwich that you must try! They are open until 2 am, so you can also visit for a second or third round. If customers request, they can also deliver dishes from Gion Rakumi. A wonderful new addition to Gion. They politely saw us off outside when we left. We will definitely visit again.
