The restaurant is located next to Fujimori <Ichibanboshi>, with a sign saying "Saba Sushi" on the side. It is a small restaurant with 5 tables and 5 counter seats. The sushi set meal includes not only nigiri and rolls, but also sashimi and chirashi, which is rare. The restaurant has been around for about 40 years. The sushi set includes sashimi served separately with soy sauce. The futomaki is delicious with plenty of flavorful dashi-soaked aburaage. The restaurant seems to specialize in rolls. They also offer saba sushi, with 6 pieces per serving or 12 pieces per roll. They sometimes have specials like seafood bowls or tekka don, but it depends on availability. If you feel like it, you can try the saba sushi next time.

Since the izakaya I wanted to go to was sold out, I decided to check out this Showa-era sushi restaurant instead. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon and I was the only customer. I noticed some small figures on the table, which turned out to be chopstick rests. I ordered a medium-sized bottle of sake for 600 yen. My impression is that there were too few types of sushi toppings. Shrimp, amberjack, egg, tuna, and sea bream, right? The fact that the rolls had Mitsuba (Japanese honewort) in them was a nice touch. Maybe I should have just ordered ramen instead.

I was reading a sushi special feature in the February issue and came across a manga called "Gohoubi Ohitori Sushi" at this link: http://www.funwarijump.jp/manga/gohoubi. I really feel like eating sushi now haha. I don't want conveyor belt sushi, and high-end sushi places are too expensive. So, I found this place and thought, why not give it a try? It's a small counter with only two seats at the table, nice and cozy. It's my first time here, and it feels pretty authentic. The "Sushi Set Meal" for 900 yen includes 3 nigiri, 2 rolls, 2 thin rolls, chirashi, and sashimi, plus miso soup. It's a great deal! The nigiri sushi with maguro, anago, and tamago was delicious. Alternating between different types of sushi really satisfied my sushi craving! The sashimi was also thick and tasty. It's more like a casual dining experience rather than fine dining. It's like a hidden gem, just like Tenma Sushi. Have you ever felt your "cosmo" before? What, you don't know "Saint Seiya"?
