I went to GW, so everywhere was crowded, but this place was a bit less crowded compared to other shops, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a katsudon, which was around 700 yen, and I thought it was quite cheap for a tourist spot. The way the egg was cooked was also delicious.

Visited for lunch on July 24, 2020. Located in Saganotenryuji Zorimachi, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto. The restaurant was full, so had to wait outside for 10 minutes. Finally got seated at 1:35 PM. Ordered the "Saga Set Meal: 800 yen". Had the choice between Yudofu (hot tofu) and Hiya-yakko (cold tofu), went with Yudofu. However, eating just tofu and pickles with rice is not something I do normally haha. It was light and lacked volume, so didn't feel very satisfied. I always thought Kyoto was known for delicious tofu, but didn't particularly find it tasty here. Good tofu can be found anywhere in the country. 800 yen for this... I hope it's not made with cheap tofu from the supermarket. It started pouring rain while I was eating. The interior had an old-fashioned diner feel, but was clean and well-maintained. The seating consisted of 4-person and 2-person tables. There were two female staff members working efficiently. The service was average. The restaurant is completely non-smoking.

The soba at this tourist spot was average, but the price was cheaper compared to others around. Thank you for the meal.

It is delicious even at tourist spots.
