On June 25, 2023, around 10 am on a Sunday, I visited this restaurant and was surprised to see a long line even though it had just opened. I decided to wait in line. After a few minutes, I asked if the "kama-age" udon takes a long time to prepare, and they said it would be ready soon, so I ordered that. I received my order, added green onions and tempura flakes, and found a table to sit at. The freshly made udon was delicious! It was probably as tasty as udon shops in Kagawa. Marugame Seimen is truly great!

I went to an off-meeting in Kyoto♪ I had Marugame Seimen A for-Real at the food court of Aeon Mall Kyoto, with vocalist Mizuki Shoji. It was lunchtime and there was a line, but we were able to eat relatively smoothly♪ There were plenty of seats in the food court, which was much appreciated♪

I tried Marugame Seimen's limited-time menu in February. Unfortunately, the Aeon Mall KYOTO store did not have the Duck Negi Udon, so I ordered the other limited-time menu, Niku Gasane Tamago Ankake Udon in large size. As sides, I had Chikuwa Tempura, Kashiwa Tempura, and Salmon Onigiri. The udon had sweet and savory beef and minced meat, which was delicious. The egg ankake part didn't have much thickness or sweetness, so it didn't really taste like ankake, but it was still tasty.

Visited around 11 AM on a Sunday. The food court was quiet as it was still early for lunch. The Kama-age Udon (regular) (290 yen) is one of Marugame Seimen's signature dishes, consistently delicious and affordable. The Bukkake Udon (cold) (regular) (340 yen) has a nice chewy texture with the cold noodles. During winter, the warm version of Bukkake Udon is also tasty, so it's nice to have both options. It's great that they open early. However, it's disappointing that they don't offer the limited-time menu items that are featured on their website.

I was looking for a store that sells Taru Chicken Tempura Udon using the Marugame Seimen app, and I found this store. When I visited around 12 pm on Saturday, there were a few people in line to order, but surprisingly it didn't feel too crowded. There was a sign on the menu for Taru Chicken Tempura Udon saying "Currently not available." Since I had come this far, I didn't feel like going to another store and decided to eat here. The Kamaage Udon (regular) (290 yen) and Satsuma-imo Tempura (120 yen) tasted the same as always. The Bukkake Udon (cold) (regular) (340 yen) was not as appealing as the Kamaage Udon, maybe because it's winter.

At the food court in Kyoto AEON Mall, I chose the limited edition Beef Torotama Udon from Marugame Seimen. I also got some tempura because I'm greedy. I love mushrooms, and the freshly fried sweet potatoes were delicious, along with the free quail tempura I got with the app coupon. Tempura crumbs are a must. I ordered a cold udon, but they mistakenly served it hot, but quickly replaced it with a cold one. It was super fast. Even when I order a large amount like this, it's still under 1000 yen, and as always, the udon was delicious.

My nephew suddenly got discharged from the hospital tomorrow after being admitted since the end of the year. We went to AEON Mall Kyoto to prepare daily necessities (food). Since it was troublesome, we decided to have a simple dinner at the food court. Surprisingly, it was quite empty. Among the few people there, we chose to eat at Marugame Seimen, where everyone was wearing masks. There was almost no conversation among the customers. Here's what we had that day: My husband had a large size of bukkake cold udon, kakiage, chikuwa tempura, inari sushi, and onigiri. I had a regular size of bukkake cold udon, kakiage, and onigiri. The tempura was mostly cold. Thank you for the meal.

Located in Nishikujo Torii-guchi-cho in Kyoto, within AEON MALL KYOTO, this is a specialty Sanuki udon shop. It is easily accessible from Kyoto Station, making it convenient for visitors. Although it is now a chain with locations nationwide, standalone stores are rare, with most being located in shopping mall food courts. As a result, the majority of customers are shoppers. The affordability and convenience are appealing aspects of this place. I always order the kettle-cooked udon here, which may not be authentic, but is still quite tasty.

It's the best cost performance; the sweetness of the fried tofu was just right and delicious.

I had lunch but it wasn't quite enough, so I quickly had some "bukkake (hot)". I was very satisfied for only 300 yen. No indigestion until dinner (good).

I received a hot spring egg with a coupon on the 30th. I also received a rice ball at the Inari Shrine with an AEON Mall card.

It was delicious.
