Before 4 o'clock on Saturday. There was a father and daughter duo waiting outside the small shop, which was already crowded. When it was their turn, they entered the shop and surprisingly found a variety of options still available. They chose sandwiches and burgers to take home. The pork cutlet sandwich with thick pork cutlet and shredded cabbage was delicious. They decided to come earlier next time.

Second stop on the bakery tour. As expected, many bakeries in Kyoto tend to sell out early, so when I arrived around noon, some items were already sold out. Despite being a bit pricey, I decided to purchase a pork cutlet sandwich, a Vienna roll, and a mentaiko (spicy cod roe) baguette since I had come all this way. I tend to prioritize cost-effectiveness, so this is just my personal opinion, but I would definitely consider coming back. Thank you for the meal.

Located a little north of the intersection of Ginkakuji-dori, this bakery has been loved by locals for 28 years. While there are many tourists visiting Ginkakuji nearby, it seems that most of the customers here are locals. The prices of the bread are quite reasonable, starting from 100 yen. The bread is made with great care. The cream puff with custard cream filling was 170 yen, and they also have a seasonal chestnut cream puff for 180 yen. The red bean paste is chunky and not too sweet, while the cream is probably buttercream and also not overly sweet. The soft French bread is easy to bite into, not too soft, and truly delicious.

I knew that there was a bakery in my local area, but my parents are loyal to Hard Bread and Croissants from Gelme, and they only buy bread from Shirakawa Bakery, so I never had the chance to visit. About four years ago, on the TV show "Matsuko & Ariyoshi's Karisome Tengoku," a bread lover named DJKOO recommended Angeul Momonoki's "Kokura Milk," a hidden gem bakery on Imadegawa Street, after trying various bakeries in the area. The Kokura Milk costs 170 yen and is a longer baguette sandwich than expected. The balance of red bean paste and milk cream, as well as the sweetness, is just right. What surprised me the most was the lightness of the baguette. The crispy crust and soft crumb had a great texture. My whole family enjoyed it and said, "Wow, this is delicious." I called to make a reservation at 11 am, and there were only a few left. Some reviews mentioned that it's lucky if you can get one when you visit. It's recommended to make a reservation in the morning. Although they don't have a wide variety of sweet or savory items, they have all the classics in medium sizes at reasonable prices. It's not a trendy bakery, but more of a Showa-era style bakery. Kyoto is a competitive area for bakeries, so I was worried that this bakery would go out of business soon after it opened. But since it's still open, I think they have loyal customers in the local area. Today, I only bought the Kokura Milk, but I'm interested in trying their cream puffs and other items next time.

Thank you for various stores, but as I visit different stores, there are more stores that I haven't been to in years. Even though I know they are delicious, right? On this day, I had Setouchi Honey Lemon (140 yen), Peanut Bread (140 yen), Anpan (140 yen), and Koshianpan (140 yen). The classic bread is cheap and delicious as usual. It's really a good bakery. The staff is also polite!

When I went to buy Western-style food, I also bought some bread while waiting for my order. I got an anpan (140 yen), a koshi anpan (140 yen), an apple and cream cheese Danish (160 yen), a strawberry and custard Danish (160 yen), a peanut bread (140 yen), and a Seto Inland Honey Lemon bread (140 yen). It had been a while since I had eaten them, but the bread had such a rich and gentle flavor! The prices were cheap too, so I'm likely to go buy them frequently again!

I tried Anjoule for the first time, and my husband seemed to know about it already. Lately, I've been into annoyingly delicious an-butter flavors, so I came here to buy the azuki bean and milk flavors. Oh no, there was only one left! Well, at least I got it. I'll definitely come back for more. Thank you for the meal!

With the motto of "<The aroma of bread that reaches the heart>", they make delicious bread with the wish for you to eat it every day. While strolling along the path of philosophy, I happened to pass by a small shop where people were coming in and out. I peeked inside and saw two people. I did some research online and found out that the an-butter bread was popular. I decided to enter the shop. The cream was delicious, as well as the anko and the bread dough. I really enjoyed it! I will definitely visit again!

I recently discovered a hidden gem in Kyoto, a competitive area for bakeries on Imadegawa Street. Here are 8 recommended bakeries on Imadegawa Street in Kyoto. One of my favorites is the Ogura Milk Bread from "Angeul Momonoki" near the Philosopher's Path, which I enjoyed while toasting with friends on Mt. Daimonji. The bread is dense with a perfect combination of Ogura red bean paste and milk cream, and it is designed to prevent the filling from spilling out. It seems that this bakery was featured on the TV show "Matsuko & Ariyoshi," so I hope it doesn't become too popular and crowded after being on television.

I bought something for the first time in a while. I visited this place when it first opened, but the bread didn't leave much of an impression on me. The staff and the store had a somewhat heavy atmosphere, so I stayed away. However, when I went back after a long time, the store and the staff seemed to have become brighter. Maybe it was just my imagination, but I ended up buying 6 items instead of the planned 2-3 (laughs). This time, I bought two types of croissants, and surprisingly, they were delicious. The croissants weren't very crispy, but the slightly moist texture suited my taste. Also, the small baguette was easy to eat. It may not be the most unique taste, but it left a good impression on me. So, I'm thinking of going back to try other bread as well!

Located northeast of Ginkakuji Temple's intersection, this place offers face-to-face sales to prevent bread from drying out quickly. I bought a curry bun and a fish sandwich. The curry bun was crispy as if it was freshly fried, and the fish sandwich was generously filled with fish fry almost spilling out from the roll bread, making it very satisfying. The staff members were relatively older, which I found to be good. They carefully packed the items and their responses were polite, something that younger staff members may not be able to do. Thank you! I will definitely visit again!

I stopped by a small bakery while walking around the Ginkaku-ji area. When I thought about posting a review, it seemed that no one had done so yet. When I visited for the second time, I asked and found out that it was opened in April 2013. There seems to be another store with the same name around Tanbaguchi, so is this store the second branch? The location is the second building north of the northeast corner of the Ginkaku-ji road intersection. The bread displayed in the store is all reasonably priced, making it easy to use while taking a walk. I only tried three items, but I'll introduce a few of them. ■ Soboro Raisin 140 yen Soboro refers to a cookie-like texture covering the surface of the bread. The bread is filled with plenty of raisins, giving it a simple taste that goes well with coffee. ■ White Fish Dog 250 yen A white fish fry is sandwiched between cut coppe bread. Cabbage is spread underneath the fry. Although it looks voluminous and appetizing, the seasoning itself is light, lacking spiciness or richness. The bread used is soft and chewy. The white fish fry has a soft batter, so adding a bit more punch to the seasoning may make it tastier. ■ Curry Bread 140 yen It's not freshly fried, but it still has a crispy texture. The curry filling is relatively compact, providing a satisfying bite. It doesn't have much spiciness, but it gives a typical impression of curry bread filling. The bread itself is not too soaked in oil, so you can feel the chewiness. The store's catchphrase is "the scent of bread that reaches the heart," but I'm not sure about that. The smell of bread or the aroma of freshly baked bread doesn't seem to fill the store, so the concept may be a bit off track. Such image strategies require not only a catchy phrase but also essential "facts" that can be linked to it. Thank you for the meal.

This bakery is located in the competitive area of Imadegawa Street, just a little up from the Philosophy Road. It recently won first place on a TV show hosted by Matsumoto. The owner appeared on the show and their motto is "A bread aroma that reaches the heart," hoping that people will enjoy their delicious bread every day. Their top item, the custard milk bread, is a hearty bread filled with custard and milk cream that blends well together, offering a texture that is easy to eat despite being a hard bread.

Just a little north from the intersection of Shirakawa Street and Philosophers' Path, you'll find a bakery behind a heavy wooden door. The bread is displayed in a wooden showcase, giving off a nostalgic atmosphere. On this particular day, I bought a cream bun and a sausage roll. Looking at them again, it feels like a choice that takes me back to my childhood. The cream bun had a large letter "M" drawn on it, which suited the setting perfectly. Inside the simple bread was a moist and soft cream filling, with just the right amount of sweetness and a hint of vanilla. The sausage roll also lived up to expectations, bringing back memories of that taste from childhood. While there's nothing particularly unique about this bakery, it's a place where you can find that familiar taste that everyone loves. They mainly focus on savory pastries rather than bread for meals, and their sandwiches look delicious too, with some uncommon ingredients that make me want to stop by again.

Around 1:00 PM on Sunday, there were no customers when I entered the bakery. It operates on a face-to-face system where you choose the bread you want. I bought a curry bun, a croquette bun, and a baguette, and had them at home. The croquette bun was a bit dry. The croquette had a sweet sauce and was sandwiched with shredded cabbage. The curry bun looked slightly larger than usual. The curry filling was typical and didn't have a unique taste. The baguette also seemed larger, but the taste was average. I couldn't pinpoint exactly what was lacking, but I felt like it needed something more to make an impact.
