マルキュウ
There was a gathering followed by a social gathering afterwards. I'm not sure of the exact price since it was a social gathering, but it was probably around 5,000 yen for all-you-can-drink, maybe a little higher at around 7,000 yen. We arrived by taxi at a beautiful hotel called Yumoto near JR station, and as the name suggests, there is also a hot spring. We were guided to a tatami room on the upper floor, where we started with a pre-dinner drink (I'm currently not drinking alcohol, so I had to pass). The meal started with an appetizer, followed by sashimi, hot pot, tempura, grilled fish, and other typical banquet dishes. Looking at the menu, the appetizer was something called cloud dragon tofu, and I remember there was something like sesame tofu. The main dish seemed to be the second one, a one-person hot pot with pork and vegetables in soy milk. It was a refreshing and delicious hot pot. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side, but there were many items on the menu. The seasoning was light, so there was no risk of indigestion often experienced after banquets. There were no surprising desserts, but everything was stable and reliable, making it a safe choice for the organizer. It is a hidden gem, not too close or too far from Kyoto Station, and although I may not have the opportunity to stay there as I live in Osaka, it is a place I would like to visit again.
