■Opened in May 2022, this restaurant offers ramen that maximizes the umami of chicken. They have two types of ramen: light and rich, as well as maze-soba and refreshing cold noodles for the current season! ■My Aged Chicken Salt Ramen Rich - ¥930 (tax included) The soup is based on fish broth and topped with three types of chashu: pork shoulder chashu, chicken breast chashu, and chicken thigh chashu. You can add extra chashu for an additional ¥200. The soup is incredibly rich in chicken umami, with a hint of seafood flavor that makes it delicious. ■Grilled Chicken and Pork Chashu Butter Rice - ¥250 (tax included) The combination of chashu's meaty umami, occasional fatty parts, and the sinful indulgence of butter makes this dish incredibly delicious. I couldn't stop eating it. ■Check out my blog "Yossy's Kansai Gourmet Food Walk" for more food adventures! https://gourmetyossy-blog.com/2022/08/02/22050/

My family and I went around 1pm and ordered my chicken soba with salt and soy sauce, topped with boiled egg and chicken thigh rice. The soup was very light and delicious, perfect for drinking up. The chicken chashu was tender and refreshing, so the kids finished it all in no time. Even after 1pm, customers kept coming in and the restaurant was bustling. We would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

"I have 'My Cold Chicken Soba,' but decided on 'My Mixed Soba' and went with that. Inside, I purchased a food ticket from the vending machine. There are counter seats and table seats available. The main flavor is chicken broth. The chashu is large. The mixed soba was light, with chicken thigh meat, egg yolk, soy sauce, and yam blending well."

I ordered the Chicken Ramen with Light Soy Sauce for 890 yen and the Chicken Rice for 250 yen. The ramen has a soup made from boiled domestic chicken and seafood broth, combined with additive-free soy sauce for a rich flavor. The blend of Hokkaido flour in the noodles provides a good texture that complements the soup well. The ramen comes with three types of chashu: pork shoulder loin, chicken breast, and chicken thigh, each offering a different taste. I was surprised when I ordered the Chicken Rice without prior knowledge, as it came with freshly fried chicken tempura on top of rice, providing a satisfying meal similar to what students enjoy.

At the peak of the heat, I was lured in by the sign for chilled noodles. While it was indeed chilled, the smoky aroma of bonito broth, like that of a restaurant, wafted up. Combined with the clear chicken soup, it was rich in flavor. The chicken chashu, made from both breast and thigh meat, was moist and delicious. The thigh meat had a seared skin. The finely chopped Kujo green onions, white onions, and shiso leaves all paired very well. While the myoga was a good addition, I wished there was more of it. I initially thought the grated yam wasn't necessary, but after drinking the soup with the yam at the end, it actually tasted quite good. The powdered sansho pepper added a Kyoto touch and complemented the ramen well. I'd like to see shichimi togarashi or black shichimi pepper available too. I definitely want to eat this again.

I happened to pass by and was intrigued to enter. The storefront and interior are very clean and beautiful. Upon entering the entrance, there is a ticket machine on the left. The layout consists of an L-shaped counter with tables. The ramen here is based on a broth that condenses the umami of chicken. There are two types of soup base available: a light one and a rich one. You can choose between light soy sauce or salt, and rich soy sauce or salt. The noodles are medium-thick straight noodles that allow the soup to cling well. There are three types of chashu toppings: pork shoulder chashu, chicken breast chashu, and chicken thigh chashu, all of which are tender and juicy, allowing you to enjoy their individual flavors. This time, I ordered the recommended chicken soba (light soy sauce) for ¥890, with an extra serving of noodles for ¥100. The soup is very refreshing, with a sophisticated taste of chicken and seafood. The umami of soy sauce is also well-balanced, with a nice sharpness. The flavor and aroma are excellent, without being too heavy, so you can finish it to the last drop. I would like to try the rich white broth soup next time. They also have maze-soba on the menu.

I visited around 1:00 PM. This time, I had the chicken soba (light). The noodles were thin and you could taste the wheat. The chicken breast and thigh chashu were soft and fluffy, which left a strong impression. There was also pork shoulder chashu as a topping. It was light, but there was also a hint of chicken broth richness. The portion size is not very large, so it might not fill up men completely. There are both counter and table seats available. The interior is small but seems new and clean.

My 40th bowl of ramen this year is from "Boku no Men-dokoro Boku no Tori Soba" [Light] with seasoned egg. The clear chicken broth pairs perfectly with the special noodles from Menya Tae in Kyoto. The chicken thigh, chicken breast, and pork chashu are all delicious. This hidden gem ramen shop is a must-try in town! #Ramen #Chashu #ChickenSoba #SeasonedEgg #KyotoRamen #KyotoEats #KyotoFood #Kyoto #HigashiyamaRokkaku #BokuNoMenDokoro

"I had the 'Aged Soy Sauce Chicken Ramen' for 1,000 yen. I arrived a little before 12 o'clock after parking my car at a nearby coin parking lot. The restaurant had just opened, so the interior was clean and bright. I bought a meal ticket and sat at the counter. The noodle menu had options for both clear broth and creamy broth, with choices of salt or soy sauce. Since I had already eaten a bowl of clear broth earlier, I decided to go with the creamy broth and chose my favorite soy sauce flavor. The area seemed popular with tourists, and the restaurant had table seating as well, making it suitable for families. The bowl arrived shortly after. It had small pieces of chicken chashu, medium-sized pork chashu, white and green onions. The soup had a rich soy sauce color and seemed thick in texture. There was not too much oil visible. Let's dig in! First, the soup... The chicken flavor was rich and creamy, with a noticeable seafood taste as well. The soy sauce added a sharp flavor. Despite being rich, it didn't feel heavy due to the good aftertaste. The noodles were medium thickness and had a chewy texture that paired well with the soup. The chicken chashu was tender and lightly seasoned, while the pork chashu was made from lean loin meat, making it light and flavorful. I look forward to trying the clear broth next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!"

2023 Ramen Adventure in Tokyo and Kansai Part 14 This week's sub-themes are "Imitations" and "Derivatives - If you're going to do it, do it well." With that in mind, I decided to try another bowl right after to make a comparison. I headed to "My Noodle Shop" in Kyoto. I ordered "My Aged Soy Sauce Chicken Ramen - Rich" for 1000 yen, with extra chashu for 250 yen, and butter rice with seared chicken and pork chashu for 300 yen.

A ramen shop where you can enjoy both light and rich chicken soup. As a fan of rich chicken broth, I chose "My Aged Salted Chicken Ramen" without hesitation, topped with char siu (chicken thigh, chicken breast, and pork). The soup, simmered for over 24 hours with chicken, pork, and vegetables, is rich in flavor without using any artificial seasonings. Thank you for the delicious meal. #GratefulforLife #KyotoGourmet #KyotoDinner #KyotoLunch #KyotoRamen #KyotoSightseeing #KansaiRamen #LetsGoToKyoto #RamenLovers #CharSiurRamen #ChickenBrothRamen #NoodleGram #RamenLover #RamenHunting #FoodPhotography #KyotoRamenClub #KyotoInstagram #RamenEnthusiast #RamenPatrol #KyotoRamenTour #RamenTime #KyotoFoodie #KyotoFoodTour #RamenInstagrammer #RamenClub #NoodleLife #Ramen #KyotoGourmetTrip

Here, there is a shop that serves tantanmen, and I think there was a ramen shop in front of it before? I was planning to go, but ended up retreating before going to those two places. So, I decided to check out the new shop that had opened. The "Boku no Tori Soba" seems to be the most popular, so I ordered that. The scent was really like soba at first, but as I continued eating, it turned into ramen. It was mysterious. I didn't know about this kind of thing!! I was impressed by their efforts, but it seems like they are copying the famous shop "Menjo Toriya," which I haven't been to, so let's go there too. By the way, it seems that there is no official relationship like being a branch store. It is announced on Twitter.

This is a ramen restaurant called "Boku no Men-dokoro". I visited this place around 2pm on a Sunday, and it was my first time seeing this restaurant so I decided to go in. There weren't many customers at this time so I was able to enter smoothly. The restaurant is located next to Wings Kyoto along Higashinotoindori. The exterior is clean and white. There is no parking lot available as it is in the city. Inside, there is a ticket machine right at the entrance where you purchase your meal ticket first. The main seating is at the counter, with a few table seats towards the back. The staff, both male and female, were very polite and provided excellent service. The menu offers "Boku no Tori Soba" (light) and "Boku no Jukusei Tori Soba" (rich), with the option of choosing salt or soy sauce. There is also "Boku no Mazesoba" and "Children's Boku no Tori Soba" available, with prices varying depending on the toppings. They also have side dishes and rice dishes. On this day, I ordered the "Boku no Jukusei Shio Tori Soba" for 1050 yen, with an additional topping of char siu for 250 yen. The ramen arrived shortly after. The soup was rich and cloudy, with three types of char siu - pork shoulder loin, chicken breast, and chicken thigh. It was topped with some green onions and sliced onions. The soup was rich and concentrated with chicken flavor, slightly thick with a strong saltiness. Although they mentioned using seafood broth, it wasn't very noticeable. The noodles were medium-thick straight noodles, very chewy and enjoyable to eat. They paired well with the rich soup. The three types of char siu were pork shoulder loin (slightly rare and thickly sliced), chicken breast (very tender and light), and chicken thigh (packed with flavor and juicy). Personally, I enjoyed the chicken thigh the most. Adding the pepper oil halfway through changed the flavor from rich and mellow to a spicier kick, altering the overall impression of the dish. Overall, I would recommend this place to those who enjoy rich chicken soup. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was pleasant, and I would definitely consider revisiting when in the area.

On the evening of Friday, February 10, 2023, I visited the restaurant around 7 o'clock. It was raining, so there were only two other customers and it was quiet. I ordered the Wagyu beef and bonito broth ramen from the ticket machine. I sat at the empty counter seat and waited for my bowl. It arrived in about 5 minutes. The soup had a bonito or udon broth flavor, which was delicious. The meat added a rich umami taste, and overall, I thought it was quite good. It had a strong Japanese taste, which I found to be enjoyable.

I visited a new ramen shop in Karasuma. They are known for their clear broth style. I ordered soy sauce ramen, while my companion ordered salt ramen. The bowls were really hot! Be careful, as it is so hot that it might make a timid person drop it. However, it was great to be able to eat it while it was still piping hot. The standout feature was the noodles! They had a strong wheat aroma, and the thinness and edges made them almost like soba noodles. The noodles also had a strong chewiness. The soup, with a strong oil flavor, paired well with the noodles. The three types of chashu were also excellent. Although the restaurant is still receiving low ratings, I believe it will definitely earn more stars in the future.

I had the classic chicken ramen. The noodles and soup were piping hot, and the three types of chicken chashu were delicious. The broth was light yet rich in flavor, making it one of the best noodle dishes I've had recently.

I visited around 18:20 on Friday. It used to be a restaurant that served tantanmen. I had "Boku no Tori Soba" for 830 yen and "Aburi Tori Buta Chashu Butter Rice" for 250 yen. Both dishes tasted as expected from their names ☆ If the restaurant was closer to the station, I would definitely come back again.

I found this place while walking and decided to try it someday. This time, I ordered chicken soba with a seasoned egg and extra chashu. When you add extra chashu, you get two slices each of pork, chicken breast, and chicken thigh. The quality of the chashu is high and you can enjoy it without getting tired of it. The combination of chicken-based soy sauce soup and straight noodles is excellent, and it goes down smoothly. The lightness of the soup makes you want to finish it all. I was satisfied with this bowl. *Photo: Chicken Soba + Seasoned Egg + Extra Chashu

Today marks the end of October, and it's hard to believe that tomorrow will be November already. Time flies! I was planning to have lunch at Shichisan Curry today, but since it hasn't opened yet, I decided to go to My Noodle Shop instead. I was the first customer there. I ordered the Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen with rice. The chicken broth in the ramen had a slightly strong soy sauce flavor at first, but with each sip, I could taste its deep richness. They simmered the whole chicken for 6 hours, and it really paid off in the delicious soup! The noodles were excellent, similar to those from Menya Tekkaku. The staff was also very polite and attentive. I highly recommend this place! Thank you for the meal!

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. When I entered the restaurant, I saw the menu on the ticket machine and decided to go with the chicken soba with extra chashu. The dish looked really nice when it was brought to me, with chicken thigh, chicken breast, and pork chashu lined up beautifully. The soup was described as light soy sauce, but it was actually quite rich and a bit on the bitter side. However, I enjoyed the taste. The noodles were also firm and delicious. Overall, it was a great bowl of ramen!
