I learned about "Karafune-ya" from the view outside the Shinkansen window on my way to Kyoto for an exam. During my two years in Kyoto, the "garden" was the Fujimori, so I frequented the "Takeda store" of Karafune-ya the most (other than, of course, the "Yamashina store," and also the "?? store" around Daigo Ishida was also memorable). At that time, what stood out in my memory was the cake called "Charlotte?" My friend saw it in the showcase and excitedly shouted, "Finger! Finger!" Kyoto had always been difficult to visit even if I had business there, and this time, after over 20 years, I revisited Fushimi. Unfortunately, the "finger cake" I was looking for was not available, but I chose a coffee and "apple chiboust" as a set. The drink with the cake (several options available) was priced at 250 yen, which was a good deal. The hot coffee had a much richer and more intense flavor compared to what I remembered from the past (I think the roasting was shallower and left a rough taste with a weaker intensity back then). Interestingly, it was similar to the hot coffee at the popular shop "Andepandan" in Sanjo, but with a slightly higher extraction intensity... The local Ogawa coffee that is sold in retail in the countryside can be likened to a "coffee shop blend" type. The chiboust with a dice-shaped apple had a good texture as an accent, and the combination with the slightly heavier coffee was good! It seems that they are focusing more on food, and if I had no other plans, I would have chosen a food menu, but... there are restaurants nearby like "Tenka Ippin Takeda store" and "Chinese Cuisine Nishikai" that I didn't want to miss out on, so I settled for something light. I don't know when I can visit again, but the pleasant service of the friendly staff made my time at Karafune-ya enjoyable. Thank you for the meal. ========== "Holiday House" cafe that used to be open 24 hours, the convenient "Nick Hobby Shop," "Murai," and above all, the large "Daiei" that was there. Many favorite stores are disappearing, but I am grateful that some are still continuing. By the way... the supermarket "Smile" that was on the corner of the intersection on the east side of Fujimori Station. It is now a Seven-Eleven, but it has moved a bit north and I found the expanded Smile. Since I used to buy products at "Smile" or "Big Basket (closed)" back then, I thought, "They should have it here," and bought 5 bags without any inconvenience on my way back. Even after over 20 years, the price of [Nemuri Nemuri Gyoza] remains the same! I want to praise myself for remembering and purchasing the [Nemuri Nemuri Semigyoza] this time. ===========
