A shop that operates only on Thursdays, the day when "palemta" is closed, within the premises of Asahikawa Design Center. They sell various breads and Japanese sweets made with different types of yeast, as well as vegetables. I bought the following items:
- Kotoli's Nerikiri (220 yen)
- Vegetable Focaccia (350 yen)
- Paper bag (10 yen)
I bought the paper bag just in case Kotoli got damaged while flying away, haha. The focaccia had a slightly orange-colored dough, which I think is from tomato yeast. The toppings were not heavily seasoned, resulting in a simple flavor. The bread was stretched out thinly and had a slightly firm texture. It might have been even more delicious with some additional accents like pepper or rosemary. Kotoli is so cute, but doesn't the cross-section and side profile look a bit like a papa? The variety of bread and designs seem to change weekly. They also offer classes on how to make these products. The staff is very polite and friendly, and they even introduced me to palemta's limited menu item: a 2200 yen sea urchin pasta. I want to try it! ===========
