I visited this compact store called "Capsule Monster" located on the same floor as a bakery specializing in baked goods. Inside the store, there is a counter displaying various traditional Japanese sweets. I purchased two items: "Kohaku Kyan" for 270 yen and "Ohmame no Gyuhii" for 320 yen. The Kohaku Kyan is a lemon-flavored jelly coated with sugar, giving it a crispy exterior and a juicy interior. It has a refreshing lemon aroma and a perfect balance of sweetness and sourness, making it ideal for the hot season. The Ohmame no Gyuhii contains two types of beans - red and green peas from Hokkaido - with a filling of pesticide-free azuki bean paste. The soft and chewy texture of the gyuhii is delightful, and the savory taste of the peas complements the sweetness of the paste. Both traditional Japanese sweets were delicate, with a unique twist, and incredibly delicious.

I stopped by "Chateaurouge Space1-15" during my Sunday cafe hopping. It is a unique commercial space in an old 8-story building that is over 30 years old, with various food and creator shops. The building used to have residents a few years ago, but now it seems to be primarily commercial. The entrance on the first floor has an auto-lock, and you need to ring the intercom of the room you want to visit to get inside. One of the well-known shops in the building is the patisserie "CAPSULE MONSTER," which operates on the 5th floor, but the cafe is currently closed due to the pandemic. I visited a Japanese sweets shop on the 5th floor called "Seasonal Sweets Workshop Shuu," and purchased three items: Pomegranate Gyuhuhi, Dried Persimmon Monaka, and Yuzu Dorayaki. The sweets were delicious, and I would like to visit again to see the seasonal offerings.

At the furniture and miscellaneous goods store Il Dolno in Chitose, which also sells wine, the actual store is in Sapporo. I bought a cocoa dorayaki for 350 yen and a strawberry water manju for 350 yen at an event. When I heard "this is the last one," I couldn't help but pick up the dorayaki. It had a cute round shape like a castanet, and not only did it look cute, but the skin was smooth and delicious. The dough was kneaded with cocoa powder, and orange peel was mixed in with the sweet bean paste, giving it a Western confectionery feel. Since there were a few water manju lined up, I bought some. The strawberries inside were beautiful, and it was perfect for summer with white smooth bean paste. I was thinking of posting this at Il Dolno, but I saw that Shu-san was already registered. They said, "Please post at the store where you bought it." I wonder if I'll receive another complaint. Thank you for the meal.
