Blog ⇒ [Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪] How is everyone doing? I'm sure you're all staying inside as much as possible. But even if you're staying in, after two months, it can get really tough. Lately, I've been going to the supermarket about once every three days. So, I end up cooking similar dishes with the same ingredients quite often. My hobbies are eating out and traveling, so it's quite unfortunate for me... The current situation is quite stressful, to be honest. However, everyone is enduring the same situation, so I'm also trying my best to cope with the day-to-day challenges. So, I started thinking about what other fun things I could do. Even though I'm limited to my room and the supermarket... I thought about looking for delicious things I could bring back while shopping! And then, I stumbled upon an event at the supermarket! A merchant had come all the way from Kyoto. It's become quite a common sight these days, but I had never bought anything before. The products are more expensive compared to the supermarket items, as they are specialty products. But considering the cost of traveling to the actual location, it's a great deal! Moreover, with travel being difficult during this time... it almost feels like a little trip! So, I bought some "Higashiyama Yatsuhashi Honpo" fresh Yatsuhashi! As you can tell from the name, it's a specialty store for Yatsuhashi in Kyoto. When you think of Kyoto, you think of Yatsuhashi, and vice versa. There are many stores in Kyoto that sell Yatsuhashi. The guiding principle of Higashiyama Yatsuhashi Honpo is "Everything is done to make customers happy." In order to make every customer who buys Higashiyama Yatsuhashi products happy, we will continue to strive in making our products in the town of Kyoto. This motto is posted on the store's website. It's very Kyoto-like and nice, isn't it? For some reason, I bought the "fresh Yatsuhashi (matcha)" for 280 yen this time haha. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey, but... I also bought the "Matcha Fuku Mochi," so... they go well together, I guess... I tried them together haha. This fresh Yatsuhashi is surprisingly light. I wonder if the kids would enjoy it too♪
