Lookforward
In the past, I think the reason I hadn't visited this place for a while was because smoking used to be allowed, but now it's completely non-smoking, so I decided to give it a try after a long time. I ordered sashimi (red snapper) for 1450 yen, grilled Isaki fish for 2600 yen, grilled Oyama chicken for 1400 yen, one raw oyster for 650 yen x2, firefly squid with vinegar miso for 700 yen, boiled fava beans for 800 yen, boiled warabi for 600 yen, rolled omelette for 800 yen, rice bowl with small fish tempura for 900 yen, and non-alcoholic beer. The appetizers were all delicately flavored and delicious. However, I found the vegetable options to be limited, the portion sizes to be very small for the price, and the cost performance to be quite poor compared to the atmosphere and service. For example, the boiled fava beans were 800 yen for just a few beans, the firefly squid was around 700 yen for only 4-5 pieces, and the boiled warabi was 600 yen for a small dish. The rolled omelette was 800 yen for only 3 pieces. The red snapper sashimi was fresh and tasty with 6 pieces for 1450 yen. The main dish, grilled Isaki fish, was still overly salty and dry, although the inside was nicely cooked over charcoal. On the other hand, the Oyama chicken was juicy and tender. Unfortunately, there was a staff member with poor customer service who seemed inconvenienced when called over and only responded with "depending on the day's situation" when asked about the daily special course. They could have consulted with the kitchen staff to provide a more informative response. Especially since we were dining with children, it was important to know what was suitable for them. In the end, we gave up on the special course and ordered individual items, feeling that the cost performance was not great. Despite this, the food was not bad, so while I don't plan to actively seek out this restaurant, I would consider visiting again if the opportunity arises. Thank you for the meal.
