On November 12, 2019, Tuesday, I came for dinner. I ordered shrimp fried rice and shark fin ramen. The shrimp fried rice is very delicious, so I order it every time. It is the ultimate shrimp fried rice. The shark fin ramen warmed up my body. I enjoyed it very much. I am very satisfied. Thank you for the meal. I will come back again. It's a Chinese restaurant located in Sanjo-dori. I have dined at a sister restaurant in Kobe Mint a few times, but this was my first time at this restaurant. I arrived at 6:00 PM and the restaurant was about 70% full. We ordered the Botan course with all-you-can-drink option. The meal started with chilled steamed chicken, followed by jellyfish in sweet vinegar sauce, three kinds of xiaolongbao, large shrimp in chili sauce, and shark fin sauce over fried rice, among other delicious dishes. There were so many types of alcohol to choose from that it was hard to decide. I definitely want to come back to this restaurant.

The limited course menu from June to August offered a variety of small dishes which were satisfying. However, since it was a restaurant known for Xiao Long Bao, I wished there were more options like chicken wings or more Xiao Long Bao. The course did include a three-color Xiao Long Bao though. Other dishes like stir-fried water spinach and fried rice with sauce were also delicious. It was a company dinner, so I bought some Xiao Long Bao as souvenirs for my family on the way home.

I visited around 12:30 on Sunday. I was able to enter somehow, but the table was very small, just for two people. I wish the table was a bit bigger. If it's small, I would like them to be more careful when taking plates. The soup dumplings were delicious, juicy and tasty whether steamed or fried.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful. I felt like I stayed for quite a while, but I wasn't asked to leave, maybe because it was relatively empty that day. The "Three-color Xiao Long Bao" had white for the regular Xiao Long Bao, red for the spicy Xiao Long Bao, and green which I didn't try so I'm not sure about. The soup was very tasty.

I ordered the course meal for ¥3,500 and the all-you-can-drink option for ¥1,650. Everything was delicious, and the course meal was well thought out with a good sequence of spicy and non-spicy dishes. The Yodare chicken was too delicious. Even though it's a common menu item, the sauce was also delicious. Just with that, you can enjoy your drinks. They also kindly answered my questions about the dishes and gave me good hints to expand my cooking repertoire in the future. As others have mentioned, the staff was very kind and provided excellent service. (Honestly, I didn't believe it when I saw other people's reviews, but it was true. It's like the service at a hotel restaurant.) I definitely want to visit again.

I had a dinner course. I was impressed by the xiao long bao with soup bursting out when I took a bite. It was so good that I needed a spoon. Other dishes were also authentic and delicious. The shrimp was especially recommended as it was plump and juicy.

At Jin Din Rou in Kyoto, I enjoyed premium beer with xiaolongbao. The casual lunch set was really worth it, and the tantanmen, mapo rice, soup, and shrimp and tofu salad were all delicious.

The casual lunch set required choosing one item from xiaolongbao and your choice of noodles or rice, so Kuma Ken chose steamed xiaolongbao and tantan noodles‍♂️ I really wanted to eat lu rou fan, but due to the recent shortage of eggs, it seems to be temporarily unavailable. It's a calm atmosphere in this shop. The staff are good. We chose the mini lunch course. When two people dine together, you can enjoy both the noodle and rice options in the mini lunch course, which is nice. At the register, they also sell frozen dumplings, xiaolongbao, and baked goods.

I followed a friend's recommendation and ended up going to lunch alone, but it turned into a group of 7 people. I wanted to have a lunch drink in Kyoto, so we had a beer festival with xiaolongbao, spring rolls, and beer, which was a perfect match. We also ordered lunch and had some lunch beers, enjoying some tantanmen and sharing xiaolongbao while chatting and having a great time. We stayed at the busy restaurant for a long time! The sauce for the cold chicken appetizer was really delicious! The xiaolongbao was good, but not as amazing as I had expected.

After visiting the Golden Kamuy exhibition, I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking in the scorching heat feeling like I was going to starve. The lunch set was a great deal and delicious. When the main dish arrived, we all thought it looked small, but by the time we finished eating, we were pleasantly full. The almond jelly dessert was especially tasty. Despite being crowded around lunchtime, the food was brought out quickly one after another, which was impressive.

I selected the steamed soup dumplings and pickled vegetable fried rice set from the casual lunch menu on a weekday, and you can also choose pan-fried soup dumplings. I thought it was a Taiwanese-style dim sum restaurant and made a reservation. When I went there, it was a very stylish place. It seemed a bit too fancy for a drinking party with middle-aged men... The dim sum is famous, but they also have a wide range of menu items commonly found in Chinese restaurants. Despite the atmosphere of the place, the prices were not too high (but not cheap either) and it felt good. The soup dumplings with wings were crispy and juicy at the same time, which was enjoyable. The regular steamed soup dumplings are eaten with shredded ginger on top in Taiwanese style. They were delicious! The mapo tofu had a thick texture. You could slightly feel the numbing sensation of the Sichuan peppercorns. It wasn't very spicy, so it was easy for everyone to eat. Overall, all the dishes were delicious. Since there weren't many customers, the staff were relaxed and provided good service. The only downside for an old guy like me is that it was too stylish, but the food was delicious. I found out that Kyoteiro is located in Kyoto and decided to visit during lunchtime. I ordered the tantanmen and lu rou fan lunch set. The lu rou fan is adapted in a Japanese style (braised pork), which is closer to the Taiwanese flavor and cooking method, making me happy. It seems like the prices are better on weekdays than weekends, so I would like to try something else on a weekday next time.

I used it for lunch on Saturday. It is recommended to make a reservation to go smoothly as there is a line for lunch on holidays. The soup dumplings with wings were full of soup! I was careful when eating because the soup came out when I bit into it. The tantanmen noodles also had a good balance of spiciness and richness, and were delicious. I forgot my smartphone in the store and left, but when I inquired by phone, they had kept it for me. The staff were kind and it was a very comfortable restaurant.

In the rain, I had dim sum for lunch near Karasuma, following my visit to "Hoshimachi" the other day. I thought it was a good deal as they also served free tea, all for 1100 yen including tax. It was my first time trying the Shanghai soul food, pan-fried buns with wings. I had the Hong Kong shrimp wonton noodles and pan-fried buns with wings set for 1100 yen (me) and my friend had the Lu Rou Fan (minced pork rice) and pan-fried buns with wings set for 1100 yen (tax included). Prices were as of the visit. They accepted credit cards.

I randomly stopped by in the afternoon and had some delicious xiaolongbao. The lunch set was affordable at 1100 yen including tax. The dan dan noodles weren't very spicy. They gave me a paper apron to keep my clothes clean. The Hong Kong shrimp wonton noodles were light and the shrimp was firm and juicy. The fried rice came with soup. I want to try the pan-fried xiaolongbao next time. It would be nice to try the course menu too, depending on my appetite.

It's been a while since I ate out. How are you all doing during the pandemic? I tried this place for lunch for the first time. As the title suggests, there is nothing particularly noteworthy. It's not bad. The restaurant is clean. Their specialty seems to be xiaolongbao, but well, it tastes like xiaolongbao. The lunch options are limited, and I couldn't order from the full menu a la carte. It's a bit disappointing. But I guess it's necessary to maintain cost-effectiveness. Since there was nothing that would make me want to come back next time, I probably won't be a repeat customer.
