I used it before 7 o'clock in the morning. I ordered the Sausage Muffin, Hash Potato, and Iced Tea set (420 yen). Personally, I think the muffin and potato would be more enjoyable if they were a little less salty. The staff efficiently serving the customers lined up in front of the register is pleasant. It's also convenient that they open from 5:30 in the early morning. It helped me adjust my time before boarding the Shinkansen. Thank you for the meal!

It's so convenient to have everything in one place. For a limited time, you can enjoy a custard pie, fried potatoes, and hot coffee at a cafe for 280 yen with a coupon. The custard pie is inspired by a cafe's custard, with a smooth custard filling and caramel sauce packed into a crispy pie crust. The creamy and eggy custard filling pairs perfectly with the bittersweet and sweet caramel sauce, creating a rich and nostalgic flavor that fills your mouth. This sweetness goes perfectly with coffee.

I arrived at Kyoto Station around 6 am. Before heading home, my friend and I decided to grab something to eat, and we found a McDonald's located on the east side of Kyoto Station's Hachijo Exit (South Exit). It was great that they were open early in the morning. I had the Big Breakfast Set for ¥640, which includes the Big Breakfast, Hash Browns, Premium Roast Coffee (M), Strawberry Jam, salt, and pepper. The Big Breakfast consists of an English muffin with sausage patty, hash browns, and egg stacked together like a burger. I opted to have the hash browns as a side dish to keep it simple and compact. The flavors were gentle and comforting. This is a recommended spot for a short stay. Thank you for the meal ^_^

I visited in the evening. About half of the seats were filled. I noticed that there was some trash left on the seats, but the staff were cleaning it up. I thought that the level of education and cleanliness here is better compared to Tokyo.

I met up with an old friend from my student days in Sapporo at Kyoto Station. For our second stop, my friend requested a place where we could have coffee. We searched around the area near the station but couldn't find anything open as it was already 10 PM. Eventually, we ended up at a crowded fast-food restaurant inside the station. My friends found us a table while I went to buy coffee. They both ordered hot coffee while I got myself an iced coffee, in a large size. Since I rarely visit fast-food places, I also decided to try the "Triangle Choco Pie" that was featured in a TV commercial. It had a crispy pie with a hot and gooey chocolate filling, and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The station is cramped and not very relaxing, but it's understandable. I thought it wouldn't bother me to eat quickly, but the fries were saltier than other stores, so I have some concerns about the food quality. I don't usually take food to go, so if I'm near Kyoto Station, I'd prefer to use a different McDonald's.

There is a McDonald's right by the Shinkansen platform exit gate, making it convenient to grab something quickly before boarding the train. Personally, I don't really appreciate the taste of the Premium Roast Coffee M (150 yen) as I find it bland. I have to add double the amount of milk and syrup to enjoy it. Am I the only one who needs to add so much milk and syrup? Someone might comment, "If you're going to add that much milk and syrup, you might as well get a café au lait." The Small Potato (150 yen) is a good snack when you're feeling a bit hungry. Even the small size is quite filling.

There is a McDonald's on the east side of the JR Kyoto Station Hachijo exit. I snuck out of a nearby hotel to enjoy my favorite breakfast at McDonald's. The interior of the store on Saturday morning was bustling with what seemed to be travelers with carry-on luggage, almost full. In short, it was really crowded, but it felt like locals spending time before heading somewhere. I passed by this store multiple times during my stay in Kyoto, and it was always busy. While they had measures like acrylic panels in place, the crowd seemed unaffected by the pandemic.

■Visit Date: March 4, 2022■Items Received: Big Mac Set■MEMOI visited on March 4, 2022. This McDonald's is located at Kyoto Station, Hachijo Exit. It is always crowded because it is close to the JR conventional lines, subway, and Shinkansen platforms. Today, I visited for an early lunch. My Shinkansen is at 11:15, so I decided to have lunch before that. I chose the Big Mac Value Lunch. It had been a while since I had a Big Mac, but I made a slight mistake... It was a Suit Mac. The Big Mac comes in a box without wrapping paper, so the lettuce easily falls out and you have to grab it with your hands... I should have gone with the Teriyaki Mac instead... If I had chosen calmly... But it was delicious. The staff's service was warm and welcoming. I had it with a side of medium fries and hot coffee. Now, I'm heading to Tokyo.■Bloghttps://ay-style.net/

- Premium Roast Coffee S$100 ★★★
"Delicious flavor with a strong taste. It has a balanced mix of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness, making it enjoyable to drink with a meal or on its own. This coffee is easy to drink with less bitterness."
- Mac Float Grape S$290 ★★★
"A dessert drink where the refreshing Fanta Grape with carbonation mixes with smooth soft serve ice cream. Usually, ice is left in the drink, but the soft serve ice cream blends with the ice, creating a crunchy and flavorful ice cream that can be finished without leaving any."
- Other Notes
- No complimentary water.
- No wet towels.
- Restroom is located in the external facility (Kyoto Station).
- Charging is available (power outlets are next to the register counter seats).
- Service is average.
- Customers do not need to remove their shoes.
- The level of crowding varies by time, but it was almost full at 6 AM.

Today I arrived in Kyoto on the first train. I finished my morning work, but it's still just after 9 o'clock. Not many shops are open yet, so I feel a bit lost. I thought about having breakfast at a teahouse, but then I spotted a McDonald's. I saw that they had seats with outlets. Perfect! I ordered a hot coffee, and it was only 100 yen for a medium size during their special promotion. What a deal! I decided to charge my phone while working on my laptop. Let's get some work done here. The coffee is surprisingly good for the price. It's a great place to recharge, although the seating area is a bit cold. It's almost 10 o'clock now, so I should start moving on. Thank you for providing a place to sit and charge up.

JR's ticket gates are open right in front of you from early morning until late at night. When you're unsure what to do, just head to McDonald's. The taste is the same everywhere, so you can rely on the deliciousness of the Chicken Crisp and Sausage. In the morning, go for the muffins, but sometimes you might feel like just having a regular bun.

Regardless of whether it's called "Mac" or "McD," McDonald's is not a place I often go to. The winter limited menu item, Gracoro, is tasty but can also feel a bit lacking. Maybe the Big Mac is still the best option after all...

McDonald's in front of the Hachijo Higashi exit of Kyoto Station. It's crowded early in the morning. The staff at McDonald's are also Kyoto-style, not very friendly, speaking quickly and efficiently. Moon-viewing muffin: The hot coffee muffin was terribly hard. Wasn't it tastier before? Disappointing.

This is a burger shop located near Kyoto Station in Kyoto City. It is located at the Hachijo exit of Kyoto Station, making it easily accessible from both the subway and JR lines, as well as the Shinkansen. I visited on the first day after the lifting of the state of emergency due to the coronavirus. However, they were only offering takeout sales, not allowing customers to dine in. It seems that returning to regular business operations even after the lifting of restrictions is quite challenging. The interior of the shop had a stylish and pop feel, so it was disappointing not to be able to enjoy dining in. The Bacon Lettuce Burger for 360 yen (tax included) was a luxurious harmony of bacon, 100% beef patty, and lettuce, enhanced by the smooth cheese and mustard. The Filet-O-Fish Burger for 340 yen (tax included) had a crispy exterior and moist and tender fish portion inside, allowing you to savor the deliciousness of white fish. The Chicken McNuggets for 200 yen (tax included) were crispy and golden brown on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, with mustard sauce adding extra flavor. I enjoyed them on the Shinkansen on my business trip back. McDonald's consistent deliciousness and affordable prices never fail to satisfy.

Kyoto day trip sightseeing is successfully over. All that's left is to head back, but the "Kodama" Shinkansen I got through JTB's day trip plan is at 20:59. I'm tired from walking, but there's still an hour and a half left, so I thought I'd take a look at the staircase illumination at Kyoto Station Building, but it's turned off... not my lucky day. So, I browsed for souvenirs at the Isetan underground while heading towards the Hachijo exit. And on the stairs just before the Shinkansen ticket gate, there was a McDonald's advertisement sticker on the kickboard. Perfect, I'll take a break at McDonald's. I didn't feel like eating anything, so I got a Premium Roast Coffee (S) for 100 yen and a Premium Roast Iced Coffee (S) for 100 yen. The coffee was surprisingly good, and it was convenient to have a McDonald's in such a convenient location. But even at this late hour, there were still a few seats available, with most customers looking at their smartphones. There were no families, and the unusually high number of female customers might be because it's so late. After leisurely leaving McDonald's, I passed through the Gift Kiosk (Kyoto store) and tried some "Tamba Black Soybeans" at Takarazumi inside the station before heading back on the Kodama. Arrived in Nagoya at 21:45... Phew, I'm tired. I don't like it, but I might have to use this JTB plan to visit Kyoto again at the end of this month, during the peak of autumn leaves... I'm torn.

I went there after a long time. This McDonald's is convenient for meeting up, waiting for trains, and takeout due to its location. Today, I ordered a large Fanta Grape. The taste is lighter than the commercial Fanta as many of you may know, but that's just how it is. It comes with ice, so you can pass the time slowly. Is this what McDonald's is all about? I think it's a question on everyone's mind. Is it only people from Kansai who call it "Mac"? Even if it's just a drink or a burger for 100 yen, they sell it with a smile, which makes McDonald's special.

When I arrived at work, I received an urgent meeting request from a client in the afternoon. I quickly finished the task and headed home. Luckily, my home is only a 5-minute drive from the office, so it was convenient. Although I wanted to have a morning meal on the way, I didn't have time. When I transferred to the local train at Kyoto Station, I stopped by the "McDonald's JR Kyoto Station Hachijo-guchi Store". I enjoy visiting McDonald's even when I'm on a business trip, it's a silly habit of mine. The store is located in front of the Hachijo-guchi exit of the local train, and Kyoto Station is always crowded. It was challenging to take a photo of the exterior of the store. I ordered a coffee (small) here, and the female staff efficiently served me. After taking a sip of the hot coffee, I took my usual photo. I was satisfied. Alright, time to go. Thank you for the meal.

It's been over 3 years since I last visited McDonald's. I decided to get some takeout from McDonald's at Kyoto Station before taking the Shinkansen to Hiroshima. I ordered the Chicken Tatsuta set (690 yen) and a hamburger (100 yen). The set came with a choice of fries, chicken nuggets, or salad, and I chose the chicken nuggets. For the nuggets, I chose the spicy cheese sauce. I also got a hot coffee to drink on the train. The hamburger was only 100 yen, which seemed like a good deal. The pickles were tasty, but the rest of the burger was just average. The Chicken Tatsuta had changed from having a French bread-like bun to a softer bun. The overflowing cabbage was the same as before. The nuggets had a different sauce now, but I preferred the old mustard sauce. The coffee was big and delicious. Overall, McDonald's hadn't changed much. That's all from the scene.
