Great value for money chill spot. Unlike typical hotels with overpriced menus, this place is reasonable. They offer original cocktails and even their orange juice is made from Ehime oranges. They are flexible and will switch a cocktail to a mocktail upon request. The casual and friendly service, common in other domestic NOGA hotels, is also well-received. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy a fantastic magic hour with views of the Higashiyama mountains, Kiyomizu-dera, and beautiful sunsets. They have a fire pit, attracting many foreign guests, giving it an international vibe. Although it lacks the Kyoto atmosphere compared to the Amber Bar at the Park Hyatt, it is still a convenient spot to visit day or night. I would love to visit again.

I went after 7 pm and had to wait a little because it seemed busy. It was still chilly at night, but they had heating appliances and large blankets, so it wasn't too cold. During this season, there is a fire pit that surrounds low tables with chairs where they provide knee blankets to keep you warm. It felt like being treated like a princess. We enjoyed a couple of original cocktails while feeling the flickering flames. The atmosphere was very enjoyable, and considering the price, it was definitely worth it. There were families too, sitting around a big bonfire. Each table had space for almost two people, and it felt cozy. We went there more for drinks than food, but ended up ordering a Wagyu burger for about 1,000 yen. The patty was good, but the bun was disappointing. Tacos were around 800 yen for two, with a choice of fillings. They were small but tasty. The drinks were fancy and Instagram-worthy. I recommend this place for post-dinner drinks. It would be even more wonderful if they spaced out the tables a bit more. The rooftop vibe is great, especially at sunset. Entering the restaurant at the Noagaho Hotel Shimizu Kyoto. I wonder what a lifestyle hotel in a tourist area is like. I want to experience it for myself. On the day, the weather was rainy and then stopped. I heard that the restaurant was opening, so I moved from the restaurant inside to the long-awaited rooftop bar. The staff removed the cover from the sofa seats in the back and wiped the tables. I sat down on the luxurious sofa alone. In the slightly cloudy sky, pink lines were drawn with searchlights. It is said to be part of a breast cancer awareness campaign originating from Kiyomizu Temple. When I stood up to take a closer look, the three-story pagoda was also lit up, and its vermilion color was very vivid. I ordered red wine and nuts and sat back down. The fire in front of me, like a fireplace, was lit. The direct flame was warm. The thoughtfulness was warm. I enjoyed the outdoor air of Kyoto while thinking slowly. It was quite popular around dusk, with the place being almost full. The age group was a bit older compared to NOHGA Hotel in Akihabara. The location in Kyoto seemed to attract customers in their 30s to 50s. On this day, I had made a reservation for dinner at the restaurant downstairs, so I only ordered drinks. I had a local beer and a gin and lime. The location was great, the service was good, and the drinks were enjoyable. The cover charge was around 350 yen for two people, so it left a reasonable impression on me. I would like to come back again.

Tuesday 18:30 CICON ROOFTOP BAR by NOHGA HOTEL There were two groups of guests when I arrived - a few foreigners and a Japanese man dining alone. I had a good experience using their morning service before, so I decided to stop by the bar after work on a weekday. I ordered the Purple Lemonade for 1,100 yen and the Pinchos for 1,078 yen. I was intrigued by the drink photos that looked great on the menu, but it turned out to be lemonade. The Pinchos I ordered was with prosciutto and melon, which I think I haven't had in a while. While I was focused on taking photos, I got bitten by a mosquito around my shoes. This felt like déjà vu. Maybe I'm not cut out for super stylish spots, but I will definitely visit again.
