In the Nishiki Market, many people were visiting for croquette tasting. - Kiyoe Croquette: A crispy croquette filled with chicken and matcha. - Yuba Cream Croquette: Filled with soy milk cream and yuba, it was light but creamy.

Croquette shop in Nishiki Market. You can eat the croquettes purchased at the storefront inside the shop. They sell croquettes fried in the highest quality olive oil made from ripe olives from "Kiyoé Olive Farm" in South Australia. I bought the Kiyoé Croquette (330 yen). It is a croquette wrapped in a dough made with mashed potatoes mixed with matcha, filled with chicken seasoned in Kyoto style. It has a sweet Kansai-style seasoning, and the sweetness of the potatoes is delicious. If you liked the review, please follow the account and save the shop.

I was very hungry and happened to pass by this shop, so I bought a corn croquette to satisfy my hunger. Since I arrived late, the eat-in area was closed. There was only one chair in front of the shop and it was already occupied, so I had to eat standing up. I found the corn croquette to be a bit bland. It was fried in olive oil, which made it light, but I couldn't taste the sweetness of the corn filling. I would have been happier if I could taste the flavor of the ingredients a bit more.

I saw this in a certain information newspaper and it caught my interest, so I bought it! It was 310 yen each. If you buy three, it's a little cheaper, but still expensive! It seems to be fried in olive oil, so it did feel light... However, I couldn't find any yuba at all, and the cream in the cream croquette was not that great. What did I buy it for...? It was quite disappointing. If it was around 150 yen, I might have been able to accept it, but 310 yen for even high-quality yuba is expensive, and when I bought three... It's a bit... Also, the female employee was unfriendly. Thank you for the meal.

This is a shop at the southern end of Nishiki Market that sells croquettes fried in olive oil. Their specialty is the "Yuba Cream Croquette for 280 yen." Cream croquettes are generally delicious, and this one is tasty too, but despite being promoted as yuba-flavored, the yuba flavor is not very strong, so it may be less impactful than expected. I wonder if it's because they fry it in olive oil. I wish there was a bit more yuba flavor. Also, it may vary depending on personal preference, but I personally prefer the coating to be a bit crispier. However, as a snack to eat while walking around, it's quite good.

Hmm, I ordered the yuba croquette because it was written in the guidebook, but it was disappointing. Too bad. The pumpkin croquette was much tastier than the yuba one. The kids were thrilled. Seeing is believing. I want to decide with my own eyes, not by the guidebook.

Kiyoecroquette! Yuba cream croquette! A croquette shop in Nishiki Market! There is seating space inside the shop, so you can relax a bit! It seems like they fry them in 100% olive oil! Kiyoecroquette has a refreshing taste with matcha and chicken flavor! It's a unique taste that you won't find elsewhere! Yuba cream croquette has a yuba texture and a light creaminess! The oil is light probably because they use olive oil! Personally, I found Kiyoecroquette to be a delicious new discovery! Thank you for the meal!

I stopped by because I had checked it out in advance while exploring Nishiki Market. I tried the Kiyo Croquette for 270 yen (tax included). The minced meat is chicken, and it has a gentle flavor with matcha. It's lightly seasoned, so tastes may vary. I was hoping for a bit more of the meat's umami and the fluffy texture of the potatoes, so I was slightly disappointed. I am satisfied enough this time, so I think I will skip it next time.

After enjoying some food at Nishiki Market and feeling a bit thirsty, I found this olive oil shop where I could sit down. They served croquettes and other fried foods cooked in olive oil. I had already eaten a sweetfish, so I just ordered a drink. I got a Yuzu Sour for about 500 yen. It was made with plenty of yuzu tea at the bottom of the cup, giving it a nice balance of sweetness and yuzu flavor. It was a delightful experience.

Kyoto is a restaurant located towards the end of Nishiki Market, closer to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. They are famous for their croquettes fried in olive oil. The signature dish is the Yuba Cream Croquette, but they also offer croquettes made with potatoes, curry, and corn. You order at the counter and pay upfront. I ordered the croquette and drink set for 500 yen, choosing a cola and the Yuba Cream Croquette. There is a counter for dining in, where you can enjoy your meal. The croquettes are thin and shaped like a small coin. They are not freshly fried, but still have a crispy texture. They are fried in high-quality olive oil, but do not taste strongly of olive oil. The cream inside is lightly flavored and delicious. I wish I could have felt the texture of the yuba a bit more, as it was finely chopped and not very noticeable.

Yuba cream croquette for 280 yen. It's a croquette with a Kyoto-like name. The coating is crispy and delicious, while the inside is a normal tasty cream croquette with a slightly refreshing tofu-like taste. I couldn't really taste the yuba, but it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

In front of the shop, there is a signboard that says "Delicious croquettes are fried in olive oil." The menu includes curry croquette, yuba cream croquette, grilled corn croquette, and Kiyoe croquette. I ordered the Kiyoe croquette, which was warm with a crispy texture. It was filled with plenty of chicken and had a subtle matcha flavor. I plan to try the yuba cream croquette next time.

After leaving Kifune Shrine and spending some quiet time in the dry landscape garden at Daitoku-ji Temple, I visited Imamiya Shrine and arrived in the heart of Kyoto city. When in Kyoto, you have to visit Nishiki Market, right? But by the time I got there, many shops had already closed, which was disappointing. Feeling tired, I continued walking and came across a crowd of people! There, I found something delicious looking: Yuba Cream Croquette for 280 yen. It was a croquette with soy milk cream and yuba, giving it a light yet creamy texture. I waited in line for a few minutes and got a freshly fried, piping hot croquette. It was fried in olive oil, which was a nice touch. The coating was surprisingly light and the filling was also light and easy to eat. The aroma of soy milk and yuba was pleasant, but I couldn't really taste the yuba. The croquette was a bit small and seemed a bit pricey, but it was delicious nonetheless. Overall, it was a satisfying snack, but with so many other delicious options in Kyoto, I might not have it again. After a short rest, I continued my food adventure in Kyoto.

I went food hopping in Nishiki Market and stumbled upon a shop. My best friend and I bought all 4 types of croquettes. The croquettes had a crispy outer layer and a fluffy potato filling. I recommend the unique Kiyoe croquette made with matcha, which is a specialty of Kyoto, and the sweet corn croquette that bursts with sweetness with every bite. If you have the chance, please give it a try!

Good morning. I am Kozue, a beauty acupuncturist. I recently visited Kyoto and tried croquettes at a shop called Hanayori Kiyoe on the street of Nishiki Market. They offer four types of croquettes: Nishiki Market's specialty Yuba Cream Croquette for 280 yen, Kiyoe Croquette for 240 yen, Curry Croquette for 250 yen, and Grilled Corn Croquette for 260 yen. The three-piece set allows you to choose any combination for 680 yen, which is a good deal. This time, I chose the Kiyoe Croquette, Yuba Cream Croquette, and Grilled Corn Croquette. The Kiyoe Croquette is a classic croquette made with Kyoto-style seasoned chicken mixed with matcha-flavored mashed potatoes and wrapped in dough. It has a light seasoning and a slightly sticky texture inside. The Grilled Corn Croquette is a vegetarian-style croquette made without meat, seasoned with soy sauce, and has a fragrant and light taste. The Yuba Cream Croquette, although I couldn't quite distinguish the yuba, was delicious as a cream croquette. These croquettes at this shop are all fried in olive oil, making them very crispy and tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Kyoto on a trip because it was listed in the guidebook, and I visited Nishiki Market. The most popular dish there was the Yuba Cream Croquette. I wasn't sure what Yuba was, but the taste was delicious. The Kime Croquette had a chicken filling which gave it a nice texture, and although the matcha flavor was not my favorite, I preferred it over the other one. Both dishes were delicious.

After finishing visiting temples and shrines, we went to Nishiki Market for some food tasting. The first shop we visited was "Hanayori KiyoE." They were selling croquettes and fried foods, and we decided to try the KiyoE croquette. It had green tea inside, which added a hint of bitterness to the sweetness of the potatoes and minced meat. It was delicious.

"Kiyoe, a shop known for its olive oil and croquettes, opened in Nishiki Market in 2012, so it's still relatively new. Their specialty is the 'Yuba Cream Croquette' fried in high-quality olive oil, which has been featured in various media. There are 4 types of croquettes, each with a creative twist that makes you want to try them all. Some even use matcha inside. The shop also has an eat-in space where you can enjoy soft drinks and alcoholic beverages along with the croquettes. Feeling a bit tired from walking, we took a break here with a beer. The Yuba Cream Croquette has a unique texture from the yuba, blending well with the white sauce. It was quite hot, almost too hot to eat right away. Maybe they were freshly fried? It was delicious, but my companion thought the 280 yen price was a bit high for white sauce. (laughs)"

There is a shop not long after entering Nishiki Market from Teramachi. This shop is known for its croquettes fried in olive oil. They also sell olive oil. You can buy croquettes and eat them in the bright and clean shop, which also has seating available. There are standing tables where you can enjoy a croquette with a canned beer or something similar. I bought the Yuba Cream Croquette! The creamy croquette is rich and creamy, with a slightly crab cream-like texture and a fragrant taste. It's really delicious. I often walk around Nishiki Market because I like it. Recently, the food options have been really great for foodies! However, the narrow streets make it difficult to eat on the spot, so shops with spacious seating like this one are a relaxing option.

In the afternoon, there was a forecast of the typhoon's impact, so I headed to Jakkoin Temple near my accommodation for an early morning visit. Then I went to Shimogamo Shrine, and had a lunch at Nishiki Market, where I found a lantern that made me feel like I had to try the Yuba Cream Croquette. I bought one. This shop seems to specialize in olive oil. The croquette had a light and crispy coating. As for the croquette itself... it was just a cream croquette. The yuba didn't seem necessary. It's like when you see "such-and-such beef croquette" at a service area and you can't really tell if it's actually that beef... same feeling. But when you love croquettes, you can't help but want to try when you see them. With one more croquette experience under our belt, the Torai family continued to enjoy various food purchases.
