I parked my car at a nearby coin parking and arrived at the restaurant after 9 pm. I sat at a vacant counter seat and ordered the "ramen" (750 yen) from the menu posted on the wall. In addition to ramen, they also serve "oden" starting from October. The bowl was topped with chashu, chopped green onions, and menma, with a sprinkle of black pepper on top. The clear chicken broth was light and not too salty, with a hint of soy sauce and a refreshing taste. The noodles were thin and firm, absorbing the soup well. The chashu was thickly sliced pork loin, lightly seasoned to bring out the pork's umami flavor. It was a delicious and light ramen that would be enjoyable even after drinking alcohol.

On November 25, 2018, Sunday at 12:00 AM & November 24, 2018, Saturday at 12:00 PM, there were no other customers. An older woman and man were watching the news. I ordered ramen with firm noodles. The soy sauce broth was a bit light but had a strong flavor. Although I ordered firm noodles, they were softer than I expected. The menu overall had items like dashimaki (rolled omelette), giving the place a nostalgic feel of old ramen shops.

I visited this place at night. It is a shop that is open late into the night, and this time I arrived before 11:00 pm. The atmosphere inside the shop was quiet, with no customers before or after me. The menu includes ramen, fried rice, as well as popular dishes like mackerel salt-grilled set meal and Pacific saury set meal. This time, I ordered the default ramen. After a short wait, the ramen in the photo was served. It had a simple, old-fashioned diner-style appearance. The soup was a light soy sauce color, with a subtle umami taste and a spicy kick from seasonings. It was also sprinkled with pepper, giving it a strong flavor. On the other hand, the soy sauce flavor was mild. The noodles were medium-sized straight noodles with a chewy texture. The chashu was a moist type with a focus on lean meat, and there was one slice along with bamboo shoots and green onions. It was a nostalgic ramen that brought back memories with its seasoning and pepper. The price was also affordable, which I appreciated.

Another late-night visit. My partner and I ordered a single miso ramen and fried chicken set. The fried chicken set includes a small ramen, rice, fried chicken, salad, two side dishes, and pickles. The dishes arrived on a tray, with the fried chicken being particularly large and delicious. The fried chicken here is really good. The portion size is great for the price. I first visited this place over 5 years ago after a night of drinking, and I've been back a few times since. This time, we visited late at night around 1:30 am. Unfortunately, I wasn't very hungry, so my partner and I shared a tonkatsu set and some gyoza. The tonkatsu set includes tonkatsu, salad, two side dishes, pickles, a small ramen, and rice. We had the ramen as miso ramen. The ramen was flavorful and comforting. The tonkatsu was crispy and delicious, and the side dishes were also tasty. The gyoza were small but packed with flavor. The restaurant is run by an elderly couple and has been in business on Omiya Street for many years. In addition to ramen, gyoza, and fried chicken, they also offer other dishes, and they are open until 3 am, making it a great spot for a late-night snack or drink.

This restaurant is open until 3 am, and I used to pass by it late at night quite often. I had a bit of a rough time back then, and one night I decided to stop by since it was open. It was my first visit, probably when I was around 20 years old. On my second visit, I asked if they could make the soup a bit stronger in flavor, and they gladly accommodated my request. Since then, I have visited a few more times over the years when I felt a bit down. Recently, feeling a bit tired, I suddenly thought, "Oh, let's go there after a long time." I parked in the coin parking lot to the south of the store and entered. This was probably my fifth visit in total, after about 10 years. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu. In the past, I had the dumplings, but this time I ordered the fried rice set with "firm noodles and a slightly stronger flavor." Inside the restaurant, there was only a fan for air conditioning, which wasn't enough during this season. I saw the mother cooking the fried rice in the kitchen, using a pink frying pan instead of a wok. It was cute to see her. After about 10 minutes, I was served the ramen first, followed by the fried rice. The ramen soup was nostalgic, with a clear appearance but a strong pork flavor. The aftertaste was surprisingly light, like a Kyoto-style pork soy sauce soup. I added some pepper, which gave it a slightly spicy taste reminiscent of Chinese pepper. The noodles were medium-thick and straight, cooked firm, and had a satisfying texture. Towards the end, they softened and absorbed the soup, becoming even more enjoyable. The chashu was thick and had a strong meaty texture, with two slices. The toppings were simple, with just green onions and bamboo shoots. The fried rice had a strong buttery taste, which made me wonder why they aimed for a Western-style dish. I sprinkled some pepper and added a little soy sauce to make it more like a butter soy sauce rice. It turned out decent, but I think I'll stick to their Chinese-style fried rice next time. My first attempt wasn't quite right. I really like their ramen here. I'll come back when I'm feeling down again! Sorry if I'm being a bother. Thank you for the meal!

A small ramen shop located along Omiya Street (right in the middle of Gojo Street and Shichijo Street). The menu includes ramen, dashimaki, kushikatsu, kizushi, tebasaki, and more. They also have alcohol for pairing, making it a good spot for casual drinking. The shop is run by an elderly couple who cheer for the Tigers on TV. Ordered: Fried rice set (ramen, fried rice) for 950 yen. It was ready in about 10 minutes. The ramen is very simple, like a typical Chinese soba from a cafeteria. It only has chashu, green onions, and bamboo shoots as toppings. The soup is a soy sauce-based chicken broth, quite basic but surprisingly delicious. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles, slightly on the softer side. As for the fried rice, I was surprised by the portion size. It was the same as a regular fried rice, not a smaller portion as I expected in a set. The fried rice had a strong buttery flavor, almost like butter rice. Even with two dishes in the set, it only cost 1000 yen and left me feeling full. This area doesn't have many late-night dining options, so this place might be a valuable find for solo diners nearby.

The distance from my home made it difficult to visit this place, but I finally stopped by after work for the first time. The interior of the restaurant seemed to only have a counter, and it appeared to be run by the owner and the female proprietor. They seem to be open until 3 am. Although the menu on the wall listed "oden" as a single item, there was a paper above it stating "sales have ended," probably because it's already April. It was a bit disappointing. I ordered some "tebasaki" as a side dish from the board menu while enjoying a beer. I thought it would be fried, but it was actually grilled by the owner. The dish came with plenty of vegetables and two pieces of tebasaki, seasoned slightly salty which paired perfectly with the beer. To finish, I had a bowl of ramen, which was just average. This place might be good for a quick drink.

Visited on October 19, 2011 (Wednesday) around 9:45 PM. There were 3 customers already inside, and no one came in after me. The kitchen is located on the left side of the entrance, with a counter seating for about 14 people. There are no table seats, so it may not be suitable for families or groups. The operating hours are from 7 PM to 3 AM, making it convenient for those who stay out late. It seems to be run by an elderly couple. I came here after a disappointing experience at a okonomiyaki restaurant, so this time I decided to focus on drinking. I didn't get to try the ramen, so I'll have to order it next time. I started with a small bottle of sake and ordered beef tendon and chikuwa oden. The sake was priced at 500 yen, which may be a late-night price. The oden was average in taste. I decided to add a fried white fish, but after searching the fridge with the staff, we couldn't find it. They offered me fried horse mackerel instead, which arrived after a few minutes. The taste was also average. The total cost for 2 small bottles of sake was 1700 yen. They have a good selection of set meals, so it might be better to try those instead of just ramen.
