We were talking about having a daytime drink, and a friend who lives in Hatagaya knew about this place and joined us. It was a Saturday, but we were able to get in without a reservation around 3 pm. Even though it was lunchtime, the place was quite busy with customers coming in and out constantly. If you want to make sure you get a table, it might be better to make a reservation. The sashimi was cheap and delicious. The tuna was around 1000 yen, but the rest ranged from 690 yen, which was great value for money. My friend recommended the grilled whole butterflied squid, and it was incredibly tasty. This is the kind of dish that makes you want to drink sake. The menu is extensive with no disappointments, and it's also affordable. This place has become one that I want to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

Three middle-aged men went out for drinks. The restaurant was very crowded and lively. The staff were polite and the service was good. We ordered a sashimi platter, grilled crab miso, stingray fin, turnip miso, chilled cucumber, chilled tomato, and smoked herring roe, along with a bottle of Akakiri to enjoy as a whiskey highball. The sashimi was delicious, and all the other dishes were tasty as well. The prices were surprisingly reasonable, which explains the popularity of the place. We didn't even spend 10,000 yen for the three of us. It's a good idea to make a reservation beforehand. We were very satisfied.

A casual izakaya where you can enjoy sashimi and grilled dishes with a glass of Japan's sake. It would be nice if the portion size of each dish was a bit larger, but I understand the need to keep prices down. It seems like they have had to increase prices, but I hope they can maintain this cost performance. They also offer daytime drinking, so I'll start a bit earlier next time.

This shop is loved by the locals. Originally a fish market, it is now famous for being a "day-drinking" spot with cheap and delicious fish. The alcohol is also affordable, which is great for drinkers (draft beer 450 yen, hoppy set 450 yen). They serve delicious sashimi like New Zealand southern bluefin tuna, Miyagi skipjack tuna, Tokushima sea bass, Shizuoka Mt. Fuji salmon, and Tokushima Spanish mackerel, all for 880 yen per person! Grilled clam for 320 yen is also amazing. The grilled skewers like flying fish, tuna, and fatty salmon are delicious. Finish with their delicious squid ink udon for 590 yen. Found a great restaurant! #Hatagaya #foodstagram #food #foodporn #foodpics #foodie #foodphotography #yummy #followme #sake_evangelist #HatagayaGourmet #sashimi #seafood #fishskewers #izakaya #daydrinking #sake #shochu #Hamaya

Every time I pass by, this izakaya is always crowded. So I had some expectations, but the deliciousness and cost performance exceeded them! I want to go every week. I think their specialty is fish. The fish dishes, whether sashimi, grilled, or fried, were all delicious and surprisingly affordable. However, the other fried and grilled dishes were also too delicious. Potato fry, grilled white clam, butter-grilled whole squid, pork belly skewers, and more. Sitting at the counter, you can see them cooking right in front of you, and both the fried and grilled dishes were exquisite!

I finally visited this very famous izakaya in Nishihara-Hatagaya area that I had been wanting to go to for over 2 years. The food and drinks are very cheap, but the portions are small. The taste is not bad, but the staff members are not very friendly...haha! That was the only thing that bothered me. If asked if I would go again, probably not, haha!

I have visited this place for day drinking a few times. It tends to get quite crowded, so it's better to make a reservation for 2 people or more. It's a restaurant with delicious fish dishes, especially the grilled mackerel which I always order. The drinks are also affordable, so I think it's a good value for money. The restaurant is non-smoking indoors, and you can't smoke outside either, so smokers might find it a bit inconvenient.

It was an izakaya where everything you eat is delicious. Their fish dishes are famous, and of course, the sashimi was very delicious. Whether it's sashimi or grilled fish, everything I tried was tasty. I definitely want to go back. It's a great restaurant.

I was looking for a second place in Hatagaya and came across Hamaya, a seafood izakaya with a wide variety of menu options. I arrived on a Saturday at 7:30 PM and the restaurant was 90% full. I ordered items such as deep-fried chikuwa, seafood skewers, butter-grilled potatoes and clams, and deep-fried tuna, all of which were delicious and went well with alcohol. I wish they had a few more drink options on the menu. There were many dishes I wanted to try, so I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

My colleague made a reservation at Hamaya in Hatsugaya for a night out. It was a Friday, so the draft beer went down smoothly. We were able to enjoy oysters and fresh fish at a good price. It made me wish we had this kind of izakaya in my neighborhood too. Maybe I just haven't found it yet...

When it comes to a restaurant to take your wife who has returned from America, there are many options like sushi, yakiniku, okonomiyaki, and more. The answer is Hamaya. The sashimi, and most importantly the grilled tuna head. It takes 40-50 minutes so it's better to order it first. It's really delicious. Is it really only 690 yen? The tuna is so tender that it doesn't even feel like tuna. I couldn't stop eating until I had finished about 80% of it. The seaweed udon for the finish, with a thick sauce? is very hot, but the seaweed aroma is wonderful and perfect for the finish. Let's warm up our bodies at the end. We had a very delicious meal today, and the bill came to 5,980 yen. Amazing ^_^

After going to the gym with a friend, we planned to eat spare ribs (protein) at Freeman Dining, but it was full. So we ended up at Hamaya. I intended to just have water, but ended up getting a bottle of beer since we were at this restaurant. Even though we just came from the gym... I'm sure many of you have felt this way before. But it was delicious. To satisfy our hunger, we ordered a seafood bowl and an eel bowl. As snacks, we had potato salad, crispy radish, mixed greens and mushrooms, and fried pork. The bowl dishes and the fried pork were so-so. Perhaps sashimi or grilled fish would have been better. The crispy radish had a nice crunch and was delicious. I would like to eat it again. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

I had visited this place alone during the day before, but this time I went with a friend at night for the first time. The menu was more varied than usual and the food was twice as delicious. We ordered the following items: - Smoked herring roe - Potato salad - Deep-fried chikuwa - Assorted sashimi (amberjack, red sea bream, seared Spanish mackerel) - Grilled crab miso - Boiled asparagus - Fried oysters - Fish head miso soup - Grilled tuna What stood out was that every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, and the cost performance was very high. We also had two bottles of beer, sake, and two lemon sours, which came out to around 4,000 yen per person. We will definitely come back again.

Visited with a friend at their favorite spot. Reservation is a must as the counter was full and it was very crowded. The potato salad was delicious, probably because it had kunsaki in it. The depth of flavor was definitely thanks to the kunsaki, something I would want to incorporate if I made it myself. The chikuwa tempura had a strong sea flavor, everything here is of high quality, right? The sashimi was also delicious, especially the amberjack. The miso soup was excellent too. The crab miso was also fantastic. The highlight was the grilled tuna head. It took about 50 minutes so it's better to order it first. The meat was tender and the saltiness was just right. The asparagus and oyster fry while waiting were also good. The oyster fry was really good. They only accept cash so be careful. Definitely a must-visit again.

I visited a restaurant in Hatagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. I arrived after 5 PM and was able to sit at the counter without a reservation, although it's usually required. This place is known for their fresh fish, with sashimi made from fish caught that morning, with the origin specified. I ordered dishes like bean sprout namul, ankimo, yellowtail, tuna collar, and flying fish skewers. The sashimi was indeed fresh and delicious, with a good amount of fatty richness. The tuna collar, priced at 890 yen, was a large piece with great meat quality and rich flavor. I had about 4 drinks and spent around 3000 yen in total, which was a good value. If this restaurant was closer, I would definitely become a regular customer.

While taking a walk, I came across a place that caught my interest and had also been featured on a TV show. They are open all day and also at night, and it seems like many people drink during the day. I visited alone and felt like having a drink, so I ordered a highball. I also ordered some sashimi of amberjack, grilled yellowtail, fried octopus, and miso soup to go with it. Even though I ordered quite a bit, the total came to only 2000 yen including tax. Everything tasted delicious, and you could really taste the flavor of the fish. I highly recommend the miso soup for only 250 yen. One sip and it felt like I was back home. I will definitely come back again.

Had a casual lunch drink and headed to a favorite spot of the pseudo-brothers. It's been two years since my last visit at this place on a holiday at 3 pm. The menu included: sashimi platter, shochu highball, green tea highball, hoppy beer, cream cheese miso dip, fried ginkgo nuts, Matsubame extravagant pitcher, grilled shiitake mushrooms with soy sauce, crab miso shell bake, grilled eggplant, and Ishikawa sweet potatoes. We enjoyed a variety of dishes and drinks, all of which were great and at a fantastic price! The sashimi platter and crab miso shell bake were particularly good. Thanks to this experience, we were named the pseudo-brothers and even became the name of the LINE group that day. Where to next? Oh, how about the shop that the older sister frequents? Sure, let's go! Thank you for the meal! (^o^ゞ

After a sauna session, I decided to have a drink with my roommate. After a sauna, I always crave something to eat. So, how about "Hamaya" restaurant? I hadn't had much Kyushu food since coming to Tokyo, but this place seems to source ingredients from all over Japan, offering delicious fish dishes. The stone seaweed tofu and tuna yukke were especially delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I finally visited this restaurant that I have always been curious about because it is always crowded. Each dish was just the right amount and reasonably priced, so I enjoyed trying a little bit of everything. You can enjoy the seafood of the day in various ways - raw, grilled, fried, steamed - and it was delicious, so I want to go again. It gets crowded, so it's best to go early, and last order is at 8:30 PM.

I sometimes feel like going to a Japanese pub called "izakaya" even if it's not curry. On this particular day, I had the urge to satisfy my izakaya craving, so I went to a place called "Hamaya." The location of the restaurant can be confirmed on Tabelog. I was looking forward to the seafood-focused izakaya. My friend had already ordered, so we started with a toast and the food. We had "Jellyfish with Lemon Sauce" for 420 yen, "Black Bai Clam Stew" for 590 yen, "Bonito Tataki" for 590 yen, "Grilled Shiitake with Soy Sauce" for 420 yen, "Sesame Amberjack" for 620 yen, "Deep-Fried Garlic" for 350 yen, "Grilled White Clam" for 490 yen, "Live Scallop Sashimi" for 690 yen, "Five-Color Natto" for 550 yen, "Plate Udon" for 590 yen, and "Isonori Soup" for 250 yen. It was a delightful meal with a variety of dishes, and the flavors were amazing.
