I felt like eating gyudon and went to Nakau for the first time in years. I was surprised to see that gyudon was not on the menu anymore, but there was a set with cold udon and gyudon on the back page of the ticket machine. You now have to ask the staff for pickled ginger, they don't give it automatically anymore. The staff seemed busy so I couldn't ask for it and just left it as it was. The udon was delicious as always. ♡

I went to listen to a lecture by a certain teacher at Fukuchiyama Castle, but got stuck in a rollover accident on the highway for an hour. I couldn't take a leisurely lunch, so I rushed to Nakau. As always, Nakau's parent-child bowl was excellent. I ordered a large serving, added hai-kara udon, and ate it quickly because I was short on time, but it's something I really want to savor.

This is a new restaurant in Fukuchiyama City. I got a take-out katsudon for dinner. It was like a convenience store donburi, with the katsu and rice separated, so you put the katsu on the rice when you eat it. This made it feel fresh even as a take-out, and it was delicious. The katsu was fairly thick, and the broth was tasty with just the right amount of saltiness. I want to try eating it freshly made at the restaurant next time. The female staff member who served me was very friendly and provided attentive service, which made me happy!
