I went for lunch on a regular day. As soon as I entered, I could smell the nice spices. The atmosphere inside was calm and peaceful, not like a typical curry restaurant. There were various menu options, but this time I ordered the daily chicken curry with naan, salad, tandoori chicken, and a drink (lassi). The staff asked about the spiciness level, and I said I wanted it spicy. The salad had a unique dressing and was delicious. The naan was big and chewy. The curry had a gentle spice that had a nice aroma. The tandoori chicken arrived later and it was well-flavored and delicious, with a gentle spice as well. When my mouth got too spicy, the lassi came to the rescue. As I kept eating, I realized there was more food than I expected, and my stomach was full.

They have a lot more menu options for dinner, so I might want to try going there at night.

The curry, with a classic Japanese curry combination, is very easy to eat. The spiciness is a bit mild. Even though I chose the spicy option, it's not too hot. The chicken tikka is quite tender with a bit of a kick. The cheese naan is slightly sweet and has a chewy texture without uneven baking spots. It can be enjoyed even without the curry. There's plenty of cheese. Highly recommended for cheese lovers.

I tried the Lunch Set A, which included chicken curry, naan, salad, chicken tikka, and lassi for 890 yen. The curry was medium spicy and just right. The naan was already cut into pieces. The chicken tikka seemed to be tandoori chicken. I found this place by chance, but it was delicious.

It felt like something you could enjoy on its own rather than with the curry. I ordered the curry with eggplant (forgot the name), but there wasn't much eggplant in it, which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, it was delicious.

The taste is just average!! The cheese naan is supposed to be famous, but we forgot to order it, so maybe we'll have to come back again~

You can choose between Today's Curry and Chicken Curry. The lunch set is very cost-effective. I was full with the cheese naan. I arrived at 12:00 and it was quite full, but the turnover rate is good so the wait time shouldn't be too long. They also offer takeout. The Honey Naan and Butter Naan looked delicious, so I want to come back again.

I visited Mahakare for a late lunch around 2 pm. I was craving for Indian curry and decided to try their Chicken Curry Lunch set with cheese naan. It cost 740 yen in total. I asked for extra spicy this time as I felt it was not spicy enough last time. The cheese naan was a nice touch with its sweetness balancing out the spiciness. The quality of the naan was impressive considering the affordable price. Even though there are other Indian curry restaurants nearby, I think I will only come back to Mahakare from now on. If I ever crave for Indian curry again, I will definitely return here!
