I visited Fushimi Inari Shrine for the first time in a while. It was getting hot, so I was thinking of having something sweet, and I found a reasonably priced matcha soft serve ice cream! There were seats available, so I could take a leisurely break. The sweetness was mild and refreshing, and it was delicious.

This is a shop I stumbled upon after visiting Fushimi Inari. They are known for their matcha soft serve made with Uji Tawara tea from Uji, the production area of Kyoto Uji tea. I tried one for 300 yen. The matcha soft serve was not cheap, but it was delicious. It had a moderate sweetness and a rich, slightly bitter matcha flavor which was quite tasty. If this shop was near my home, I would definitely visit often! Next to the Inari Shrine, there were many stylish cafes. I found a soft serve ice cream place facing the street, perfect for eating while walking. I ordered a light matcha flavor soft serve. I wasn't expecting much, but the matcha flavor was intense! The texture was smooth and it was obviously homemade. It was delicious!

The matcha soft serve here is ¥300 cheaper than others, but surprisingly delicious with a slight bitterness.

It is located on the way back from Fushimi Inari. They sell their products in a prefabricated building. You can also eat while walking around, but there are benches and tables set up on the premises where you can sit and eat. There are various trendy cafes and such in the area, but the soft serve ice cream here was the best! It had a strong tea flavor, but with hardly any bitterness, and a gentle sweetness making it light. Maybe it's because it's made with fresh matcha? In addition to soft serve, they also sell hot dogs and other items. I think it would be great if it became more popular. Thank you for the meal.
