■YAKITORI Gokuu Shinbashi Rikyu Shinbashi Located in Shinbashi, YAKITORI Gokuu Shinbashi Rikyu is a newly opened yakitori restaurant. The main branch is just across the street. This place offers private rooms and only serves course menus, making it a slightly upscale restaurant. After being escorted to a private room, we started with a Master's Dream for a toast. ■Chicken Soup The first dish served was chicken soup, which had a comforting taste. ■Appetizer Assortment Served on a long narrow plate, the assortment included: - Sasa-imi sea urchin rolls - Chicken heart sashimi - Paprika mousse - Pickled cherry tomatoes - Caramelized liver mousse A variety of items in small portions, which I love for its luxurious feel. ■Sasa-imi Seaweed Roll A rare dish featuring large cuts of sasa-imi wrapped in seaweed. The combination of seaweed flavor and refreshing sasa-imi is delightful. ■Grilled Chicken Thigh The skin was crispy, and the meat was juicy. This is a classic favorite! ■Hibiki Highball We indulged a bit with a Hibiki highball, which paired well with the yakitori. ■Edamame and Sakura Shrimp Chawanmushi A summer-themed dish that looked vibrant and had a delicious aroma of sakura shrimp. ■Grilled Chicken Liver A rich and flavorful chicken liver, a must-order at yakitori restaurants. ■Grilled White Asparagus Grilling white asparagus at a yakitori restaurant may be uncommon, but it was deliciously charred and tender. ■New Burdock and Sasa-imi Salad The crunchy new burdock and moist sasa-imi created a nice contrast. ■Grilled Chicken Gizzard The gizzard had a chewy texture and was full of flavor. ■Baby Corn with Skin Grilled baby corn, including the husk, was sweet and tender. ■Grilled Chicken Neck A rare cut of chicken neck that oozed with umami flavor with each bite. ■Fried Chicken Wings and Young Chicken Okara Tempura Comparing different fried items in terms of both cut and batter. Enjoy the chicken wings by grabbing them boldly. ■Grilled Chicken Meatball Juicy and flavorful meatball that brought happiness with every bite. ■Grilled Chicken Neck Meat Another rare cut, the neck meat was served with myoga to add a refreshing touch. ■Scamorza Cheese The final grilled dish was cheese, which had a chewy texture. This would pair well with wine. ■Chicken Soboro Rice Bowl We added a chicken soboro rice bowl as an additional dish to conclude the course. The combination of egg and soboro at a chicken restaurant was undeniably delicious. ■Yuzu Sorbet The yuzu sorbet provided a refreshing finish to the meal. This restaurant gave off a vibe of a place you'd want to visit with someone special.

At night, I went to YAKITORI Gokuh Rikyu in Shinbashi. Tonight, I met up with the head chef of a ramen shop in Higashi-Ikebukuro to catch up. It took several reschedules before we could finally meet due to his busy schedule. The restaurant is located between Shinbashi and Uchisaiwaicho stations, a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of both stations. The underground restaurant offers private rooms where you can enjoy yakitori while drinking wine, but I prefer a quieter atmosphere, so we sat at the counter. We started with draft beer and had a casual gathering for two. The beer was surprisingly good, and looking at the menu again, I realized it must be the Master's Dream. We ordered the Rikyu course for 4,400 yen with additional skewers, and drinks were ordered separately. The appetizers included liver pate, shiitake mushroom tempura, and seared chicken thigh. It was unusual to have bread and tempura as the first course at a yakitori restaurant, but it was a nice start to settle the stomach. The tempura was delicious on its own, but even better with the accompanying rock salt. The liver was tender and flavorful, made from Kinso-dori chicken from Aichi. It was cooked just right to enhance the flavor of the yakitori. We enjoyed a variety of sake from a brewery in Hiroshima, starting with Kamosuru Junmai sake R3BY. We were also provided with cold water to cleanse our palate between sips. The yakitori dishes included chicken tenderloin with wasabi, chicken breast wrapped in skin, quail eggs, and more. Each skewer was cooked to perfection, allowing us to savor the different textures and flavors. We also tried some off-menu items like chicken soft bone and bonjiri. The meal was accompanied by a second sake, Maboroshi Junmai Ginjo R3BY, which had a well-balanced and refreshing taste. We also had grilled lotus root, chicken neck, and gizzard, all cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience with delicious food and excellent service.

I had pre-ordered the course, so the dishes were brought smoothly and I didn't have to worry about finishing on time. This is very important when using it for entertaining purposes! I ordered a 6,800 yen course and drank to my heart's content, so the cost performance was not bad. For the finishing touch, I had a choice of TKG or soboro rice. The TKG had a mysterious texture where the egg yolk bursts vigorously in your mouth until the end, which was enjoyable. I will definitely use this place again! ♬

Private room for a relaxing time ♪ YAKITORI Gokuu Shinbashi Rikyu In a private room in Shinbashi, you can enjoy delicious grilled chicken ♪ The assortment of 4 appetizers includes tomato, crystal chicken, and liver pate, which are delicious and go well with wine! I really liked the corn chawanmushi, I wanted to eat 5 more of them because I love it so much. It's refreshing with wasabi. The texture of the seasonal vegetables and momo miso grilled chicken is great! The heart is juicy! The skin of the chicken tenderloin and corn tempura is crispy. The teriyaki sauce on the chicken wings is delicious and the tsukune cold tofu is spicy and refreshing. For the finishing touch, you can choose from chicken soboro rice bowl, tamago kake gohan, or special chicken soup ramen. I chose the special chicken soup ramen, but the tamago kake gohan was the right choice here! They used paper lanterns! The salted azuki bean ice cream was also delicious. I enjoyed delicious grilled chicken in a private room at a leisurely pace ♡

The quality of the yakitori was high and delicious. You can also order additional items. The appetizers were average except for the chawanmushi, which was a bit disappointing because it was bland. Looking forward to the next visit, so I rate it a 3. The wine was reasonably priced and it's a great place for a date or business entertaining.

I went to a restaurant that was hard to make a reservation at and had been on my mind. I tried the 8,000 yen yakitori course and had quite a bit to drink. Each dish was extremely delicious, and I would like to go again. I think it is a very convenient restaurant for dining with a partner at the counter.

After finishing work, I met up with a friend who works nearby and we came here together. We started with a toast with sparkling wine! We ordered the Rikyu course, which included: - Appetizers: Ginger-simmered harami, sautéed sweet potatoes and lotus root, and marinated fruit tomatoes. The flavors were rich and went well with the alcohol. - Chicken breast cooked with seaweed. The aroma of seaweed and the savory taste of the chicken breast complemented each other. - Tender and moist liver. - Quail egg with a creamy, runny yolk. - Seasonal vegetables and momo miso-grilled. - Seseri (chicken neck). - Sunagimo (gizzard). - Man'nenjii miso-grilled. - Furi-sode (chicken tail). We switched to lemon sour at this point. We also added another round of lemon sour. The alcohol went down really smoothly! - Deep-fried chicken wings with jalapeño sauce. - Added tsukune skewers. - Ginnan (ginkgo nuts). - Shiitake mushrooms. - Tsukune with egg yolk on top. In the private room, our conversation flourished while we enjoyed the crispy yakitori. The pace of our conversation was not interrupted, and the alcohol kept flowing. Most of the dishes were seasoned with salt instead of sauce, which I thought was great for people on a diet or doing muscle training. Thank you for the delicious meal!

We visited this restaurant with two people at 7:00 PM on a regular day. It is located just a short walk from Shinbashi Station. The restaurant is located underground and has a chic atmosphere with a counter and private rooms. We tried the "Goku Course" this time! Instead of skewers, the course consists of a variety of dishes alternating between one dish and another, allowing you to fully enjoy chicken. The seasoning ranges from richly flavored to lighter dishes, and if you feel it's lacking a bit, you can use the black shichimi, ichimi, and sansho pepper on the table. The ichimi is quite spicy and addictive! There were many types of wine available! They also have a variety of bottles! The course is quite filling, especially if you eat until the end. ----- ■ Course Contents (especially delicious items are marked with ★) ★ Appetizer ①: Chicken soup → Rich and creamy, delicious! I want to eat it with ramen! ・ Appetizer ② → Four well-seasoned appetizers that go well with alcohol. ・ Seasonal ingredients chawanmushi → Chawanmushi with ginkgo nuts, shrimp, and chicken. It is topped with plenty of seaweed and has a good aroma. ~ Skewers ~ ・ Liver: Rich and no odor. ・ Hearts and gizzards ★ Seseri: Juicy and my favorite. ・ Tsukune ★: Fluffy and delicious. ~ Side dishes ~ ・ Grilled chicken breast Isobe-yaki ★ Grilled chicken thighs: Goes well with ichimi ・ Homemade thick fried tofu ・ Grilled Man'yoji chili pepper ★ Grilled shrimp and quail with shiso leaf skewers and deep-fried chicken wings → The seasoning is spicy, and it was nice to have a slightly different taste from the previous dishes! ・ Finishing meal → Chose soboro rice. It has a mix of various parts, providing a enjoyable texture and satisfying meal. My friend chose egg over rice, which looked delicious with a lantern on top. ・ Salt azuki monaka ice cream and warm tea Thank you for the meal!

Counter and private rooms only, creating an elegant and luxurious atmosphere. This yakitori restaurant is recommended for a special dinner with loved ones! Choose between the Rikyu Course (5,280 yen) or the Kiwami Course (6,500 yen) for dinner. On this day, we opted for the Kiwami Course, which includes a rice dish and dessert. Items received: Kiwami Course (6,500 yen) [Drinks] White wine (750 yen) Makers Craft Highball (650 yen) [Course Contents] - Appetizers: Toriwasa, Kumiage Yuba, Egg omelette with meat and Mitsuba, Edamame - Simmered summer vegetables - Chicken skewers: Hatsumoto, Liver, Seseri, Thigh, Gizzard, Furi-sode - Seasonal vegetables and thigh meat in Nishikyo-style - Chicken breast Isobe-yaki - Vegetable skewers: Snow peas, Corn - Rice dish: Chicken soboro bowl - Dessert: Salted red bean ice cream sandwich Everything from the appetizers to dessert was incredibly delicious!! Especially the egg omelette with chicken soboro in the appetizers was delicious! The skewers eaten one by one at the counter were exceptional. The grilling was perfect, and the meat was very juicy. Especially the rare grilling of the liver was great, with a bouncy texture and the addition of Hararyokaku's black shichimi spice made it even better. The rice dish at the end offers a choice of three options: soboro bowl, tamago kake gohan, or chicken white soup ramen. I chose the soboro bowl, but the ramen with seasoned egg looked delicious too... The final salted red bean ice cream refreshed the palate. The portion size was decent, well-balanced, and didn't leave you feeling heavy. Both the skewers and the individual dishes were of high quality! They paired well with the wine, making for a lovely dinner! The presentation was also very nice, and the staff were all very kind and made the atmosphere comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful meal ★

Just a 3-minute walk from Shimbashi SL Square, YAKITORI Gokū Shimbashi Rimiya is a yakitori restaurant with 6 counter seats and 5 private rooms where you can see the grilling process clearly. The counter seats are perfect for casual drinking. To celebrate our reunion after a year, we started with a Mustard Dream toast. Are you a sake person or a wine person when it comes to yakitori? My friend and I, who can drink any kind of alcohol, were excited by the wide variety available. We ordered the Ultimate Course from appetizers to dessert for 6,500 yen: - Kabuto Tsumire Surinagashi (soup with minced chicken meatballs) - Assorted appetizers: Chicken thigh sashimi, Honey combo (tempura of mushrooms), Chicken soboro with egg on a bed of mitsuba leaves (with grated daikon radish on the side) - Hatsu-moto (chicken heart skewer) - Liver: melts in your mouth, sweet and delicious - Seseri (chicken neck meat): tastes like meat - Tori-suki (chicken breast meat with raw egg) - Snap peas - Chicken breast meat wrapped in seaweed with wasabi and nori - Corn - Gizzard: crunchy texture - Sori (chicken tail): rare - Chochin (chicken lantern) - Choice of main dish: Chicken soboro rice bowl, Chicken broth ramen, or Tamago kake gohan (rice with pickled kumquats and egg) - Dessert: Salted red bean ice cream The meal was delicious, and the alcohol selection was great. The staff was very kind and even recommended a white wine-like packaged sake from Kobuse that I personally enjoyed. Wine is usually recommended with meat, but the rosé was also delicious.

[Date] Visited on a weekday at 6:00 PM as a party of one. [Reservation] Made a reservation online. The restaurant was quite busy with many customers, so it's safer to make a reservation in advance. [Location] Access is super convenient, about a 5-minute walk from Shinbashi Station. [Interior] There are counter seats and tables. The tables seem to be private rooms. I sat at the counter alone, but there were also groups of 7 people, so it seems versatile. [Order] Started with a draft beer for a toast! The drink menu offers a wide range of options including wine, shochu, and sake. When I mentioned my preferences for sake, the staff chose one that suited my taste perfectly. It was so good that I couldn't stop drinking! I chose the "Ultimate Course" this time, which included: - Turnip and minced fish ball soup: a comforting and gentle flavor that goes well with cold beer. - Assorted appetizers: chicken thigh sashimi, honeycomb mushrooms, and rolled omelette. The chicken thigh sashimi was lightly seared, giving it a delicious smoky flavor. The honeycomb mushrooms were fried in a Korean-style seasoning, which paired well with alcohol. The rolled omelette was filled with plenty of minced meat, providing a satisfying texture. - Chicken heart, liver, and tenderloin skewers: all juicy and delicious. The liver was cooked rare, giving it a tender and bouncy texture. - Chicken sukiyaki: a mild seasoning that allows the umami of the chicken to shine through. - Chicken neck: a popular choice that is best enjoyed in one bite. - Quail: originally supposed to be carrot skewers, but since I don't like carrots, they kindly switched it to quail. The quail had a rare yolk, offering a creamy texture and delicious taste. - Chicken thigh: incredibly juicy and perfect for enjoying with alcohol. - Apios: a root vegetable from the legume family that was sweet and delicious, similar to sweet potatoes. - Gizzard and chicken tail: both juicy and satisfying in size. - Choice of meal: choose between chicken minced meat bowl, tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg), or chicken broth ramen. I chose tamago kake gohan, which came with candied kumquats on top. Breaking the kumquats and mixing them with the rice was incredibly rich and delicious. - Azuki bean monaka ice cream: a delightful ending to the meal. Thank you for the feast! [Service] The staff were efficient and friendly in their service. [Final thoughts] The skewers, appetizers, and desserts were all delicious! I highly recommend the Ultimate Course!

When you think of yakitori in Shinbashi, you may imagine a lively and bustling atmosphere at places like Mokumoku. However, the restaurant I visited this time offers a calm and lovely ambiance, perfect for a date night. Located just a 3-minute walk from Shinbashi Station, with the main branch of this restaurant across the street, which has a more casual vibe. It might be nice to switch between the two depending on the occasion. Now, let me introduce the dishes I tried this time! I opted for the Gokumi course (¥6,050), which includes a variety of dishes: - Appetizer Platter: Chicken thigh tataki, shiitake mushroom tempura, dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet) - all delicious and well-prepared. - Yakitori First Half: Heart, liver, bonito, chicken sukiyaki, carrot - all cooked to perfection with great flavors. - Yakitori Second Half: Lantern, thigh, apios, gizzard, furi sleeve - featuring rare cuts and unique vegetables, each skewer was juicy and satisfying. - Finale: You can choose from minced chicken rice bowl, raw egg over rice, or ramen. I had the minced chicken rice bowl, which was sweet and flavorful, while my friend enjoyed the raw egg over rice. - Dessert: Salted red bean ice cream - a refreshing and unique dessert option to end the meal. The restaurant offers counter seats and private rooms, making it versatile for different occasions. They also have a wide selection of drinks to pair with your yakitori and other dishes. After viewing the "Gems" exhibition at the National Museum of Nature and Science in March 2022, we moved to Shinbashi for dinner at the renowned Chinese restaurant Shinbashi-Tei, located behind it is the yakitori restaurant Gokuu. The Shinbashi Rikyu branch is located in the basement of the Fuji Building. Upon descending the stairs, you are greeted by a stylish space with a black color scheme, with private rooms arranged around the counter seats. We had made a reservation for the counter seats at 5:00 PM. That day, we enjoyed the Shin-Rikyu course, focusing on yakitori, priced at 4,400 yen excluding tax. The course included three appetizers: chicken liver pate, tempura shiitake mushrooms, and grilled chicken liver. We also had chicken tataki, quail egg with wasabi, momo (thigh meat), renkon (lotus root), seseri (chicken neck), sunagimo (gizzard), daikoku shimeji mushrooms, chicken menchi (minced meat), tsukune (chicken meatballs), tebasaki (chicken wings), and more. Each skewer was perfectly grilled, ranging from lean to fatty cuts and mild to rich flavors, creating a well-balanced and delicious experience. The course was filling, and we couldn't even reach the dessert. Gokuu is a stylish yakitori restaurant that is perfect for a date. Next time, I would like to enjoy it with wine. The total bill for two people, including drinks, was 12,375 yen.

I visited this restaurant because I enjoyed the food at Tsukishima Gokusan, and I wanted to try the private rooms here as well. The main store is located across the street and has a lively atmosphere, so it seems like you can choose depending on your mood. They offer a la carte options, but this time I tried the Rikyu course for ¥4400 and added some additional dishes. ● indicates individual dishes, while ○ indicates skewers. ● Turnip Surinagashi Yakitori - made with minced chicken. ● Chibu-ni (simmered chicken) ○ Hatsumoto (chicken heart) ○ Liver ● Freshly fried thick tofu - crispy and fragrant. ○ Quail egg ○ Seseri (chicken neck) ○ Chicken thigh ○ Sunazuri (gizzard) ● Chicken mince ● Glazed carrot ○ Furisode (chicken wing) ● Chicken soboro rice bowl ¥680 For additional meals, I also ordered Tamagokake Gohan (rice with raw egg) and Chicken Dashi Ramen. ● Salted red bean Monaka ice cream The chicken was cooked rare, juicy, and delicious. I was impressed by their attention to detail, such as offering a 6-month aged grape juice from Shiwa Town as a soft drink option. It's a casual and user-friendly restaurant that I would recommend.

"Goku" in Shinbashi has several stores. On this day, I had planned to go to Rikyu, but I initially went to the main store across the street by mistake. Rikyu has a calm atmosphere with a counter and private rooms. This time, we chose the "Rikyu Course" and also ordered wine, highball, grape juice, etc. The grape juice was so delicious that I want to order it again. The dishes included "Turnip Surinagashi" with chicken meatballs, slightly sweet "Chibu-ni", chewy "Hatumoto", perfectly cooked "Liver", crispy fried tofu with refreshing condiments, "Simmered Quail" with a melting yolk, nicely grilled "Seseri", soy-flavored "Thigh Meat", perfectly seasoned "Sand Liver", and a one-bite size "Menchi Katsu" which was perfect for those who don't like fried food. The meal ended with "Carrot Glace" and "Furisode", and we also added a serving of "Tamago Kake Gohan" with soy-marinated egg yolks. The simple yet rich flavor was delightful. We also enjoyed the "Salted Red Bean Ice Cream". Among the skewers, the Menchi Katsu and Tamago Kake Gohan were our favorites. The private room allowed us to relax and enjoy the meal, and the course portion was just right, making it a pleasant dining experience."

There are many lively shops in Shinbashi, but I was able to enjoy yakitori in a calm atmosphere. The restaurant has both counter seats and private rooms, and on this day we used a private room. The interior was clean and it seemed like a good place to gather with friends, with a sense of tranquility. The "Rikyu Course" for 4,400 yen was very reasonable! We also ordered additional dishes to go with it. We toasted with sparkling wine. The dishes included turnip with minced chicken, a local dish from Ishikawa called "Jibuni", tender chicken hearts, liver without any unpleasant smell, hot and fragrant thick tofu, quail that was cooked to a tender texture, tender "seseri" (chicken neck), chicken thigh meat, crunchy gizzard, chicken meatballs with ponzu sauce, glazed carrots, and a firm and satisfying "frisée" (chicken tail). We also ordered an additional dish of chicken broth ramen for 800 yen and salted red bean ice cream. I chose a grape juice from Shiwamachi, Iwate Prefecture, which was very rich and became my favorite! With a variety of wines available, this restaurant seems like a place where you can enjoy pairing yakitori with wine.

This is an extremely stylish yakitori restaurant. The interior design with white tables and sofas, black walls, plates, chopsticks, etc., is very fashionable. Unlike the main branch nearby, this location offers not only counter seats but also private rooms for customers to use for meetings or business discussions. The attention to detail is impressive. The restaurant even provides mouthwash, dental floss, skincare products, men's hair gel, and body wipes in the restroom, setting it apart from other establishments. On this particular day, the meal included the Rumiya course (4400 yen) and a la carte dishes. Here is the breakdown of the course: - Three appetizers (grilled chicken thigh, tempura mushrooms, chicken liver pate with baguette) - Liver skewers with a unique and delicious flavor - Chicken tenderloin with wasabi and salt - Daki-mi, an original dish with chicken breast and leeks wrapped in chicken skin - Quail eggs cooked to perfection - Grilled chicken thigh, juicy and flavorful - Salt-grilled lotus root, a surprisingly delicious dish - Seseri, a favorite part of the chicken skewer - Gizzard with a peppery flavor - Tsukune, a delicious minced chicken skewer - Black shimeji mushrooms, a fragrant and flavorful dish - Chicken mince cutlet, juicy and flavorful - Chicken wings, easy to eat and perfectly grilled Additionally, we tried some a la carte dishes: - Chochin, a tasty dish with meat and egg yolk - Tamago kake gohan, a delicious rice dish with egg yolk - Chicken broth ramen, with a rich and flavorful soup - Salted red bean ice cream monaka, a light and tasty dessert Overall, every dish was delicious, and the restaurant's interior design, service, and overall experience were exceptional. I visited with friends for drinks, but I would also consider using this restaurant for business purposes.

Gokuh, a popular restaurant specializing in local chicken dishes, has been thriving in the competitive dining area of Shinbashi for 13 years. Despite having a counter, the restaurant is known for its private rooms, making it a popular choice for business meetings and special occasions. On the day of my visit, everyone was using a private room. I wasn't expecting much in terms of restaurant chains, but each skewer was undeniably delicious with perfect grilling and cooking. While Shinbashi is known for its yakitori paired with sake or shochu, Gokuh stands out with its recommendation of wine. The wine selection leans towards classic styles, with some close to natural fermentation. I particularly enjoyed the California ODD LOT, a Syrah-based wine with a bold taste. Despite the lively atmosphere typical of business gatherings, the ability to enjoy dining in a private room during this time adds to the restaurant's reliability.
