I went camping at the Yabuccha Campsite in Shimogahara Onsen, Iga City, Mie Prefecture! For breakfast, we had cup noodles for the first time since it's getting colder! My friend said, "I want to eat ramen for lunch!" Ramen for lunch while eating ramen... (￢_￢) We quickly finished cleaning up as it was sunny, and headed towards Uji without making any detours! When my friend says "I want to eat ramen," it usually means we're going to Gyoza no Ohsho! So, we visited the Gyoza no Ohsho on the National Route Okubo store once again! We ordered drinks, gyoza, shrimp tempura to share, fried rice for me, and miso ramen for my friend. The beer was cold and delicious, gyoza was well-cooked, shrimp tempura was crispy and tasty, fried rice was good but slightly different, and miso ramen was hot and comforting. We heard that the National Route Okubo store will temporarily close for renovations until November 15, 2022, which was shocking news for me as a fan. The staff mentioned that after the renovation, they will reopen, and I will definitely visit again!

Friend: "What is Lilachan's favorite food?" Me: "Gyoza!" Friend: "Lilachan really loves gyoza, huh!" Me: "Come to think of it, I haven't been to Gyoza no Ohsho in a while!" Fried rice (JSM): The delicious and consistent "moist and fluffy fried rice" from Gyoza no Ohsho! This time I tried the JSM size, how is it!? Stir-fried pork and chives: I tried a new menu item this time! It's like a pork version of stir-fried pork and chives, with a crunchy texture from the vegetables and a delicious garlic flavor. Draft beer (medium): My friend ordered this and it was served in a chilled glass. I took a few sips as well and enjoyed it! Vegetable-rich tantanmen: My friend, who usually always orders miso ramen, unexpectedly went for tantanmen this time! It had a strong sesame flavor and a spicy kick, quite delicious! On this day, my friend seemed to be suffering from a slight hangover from the previous day's "social gathering" at work, so I made a comment about their usual miso ramen choice, and they ended up choosing tantanmen instead. Despite their slowed pace, I finished my meal with gusto! Another friend: "Want to try the tantanmen?" Me: "Sure, and a beer too!" Once again, the food was delicious and satisfying. I had some business at my parents' house in Kyoto and decided to have dinner alone. I used to go out to eat occasionally when I lived at my parents' house. I wonder how many years it has been since I last came to eat here. At least 20 years. On this day, the restaurant was almost full and I was seated at the counter. It took quite some time for my order of garlic-heavy gyoza (¥319) and fried rice (¥473) to arrive. Maybe it takes time when you order the garlic-heavy gyoza. But the wait made the food taste even better. Thank you for the meal.

It's the morning of the second day of the overnight camp! After having hot dogs for breakfast using sausages bought from "Miyama Omoroshi Nokumin Kurabu" (Miyama Interesting Farmers Club), we cleaned up in the rain wearing raincoats. It took about 2 hours and we were exhausted! We thought about having lunch near the campsite before heading home, but the restaurant at the roadside station was too crowded. So, we decided to head to Uji instead! We ended up at "Gyoza no Osho" (King of Gyoza), one of our favorite places, for a hearty meal. We ordered gyoza (well-done), miso ramen, shrimp in chili sauce (JSM), and fried rice. The gyoza had a crispy texture, the miso ramen was delicious, the shrimp in chili sauce was a bit small but tasty, and the fried rice was top-notch. We were full and energized after the meal, ready to tackle the remaining cleanup at home. We'll definitely visit "Gyoza no Osho" again in the future!

The expiration date for the discount vouchers and free dumpling vouchers I received at Gyoza no Ohsho's anniversary festival in December 2021 is approaching, so I visited "Gyoza no Ohsho Kokudai Okubo Store" again! I have a total of 2,000 yen worth of discount vouchers (valid until 2/28) and 2 free dumpling vouchers (valid until 1/31), but they cannot be used together and only one voucher per person, so I had to use the dumpling vouchers with the approaching deadline first! I ordered gyoza, garlic-infused gyoza, leek and liver stir-fry, spicy fried chicken with bones, fried rice, beer, premium oolong tea, and yakisoba. The beer and premium oolong tea were refreshing, the gyoza was crispy and delicious, the garlic-infused gyoza was flavorful, the leek and liver stir-fry had a crunchy texture, the spicy fried chicken was a collaboration with Nippon Ham and very tasty, the fried rice was one of the best I've had at Gyoza no Ohsho, and the yakisoba was a bit blurry in taste but improved with some salt. Overall, it was a delicious meal, and I wonder if I can use up the remaining 2,000 yen worth of discount vouchers before the deadline of 2/28!

Guess what!!! I found out that on December 24th (Friday) and 25th (Saturday) of Reiwa 3, "Gyoza no Ohsho" will be having a grand opening celebration where you will receive a 250 yen discount coupon for every 500 yen spent (tax included)!!! What a generous event they are having!! I made sure to mark it in my schedule app about a week in advance so I wouldn't forget. Who needs a fancy Christmas dinner when you can go to Gyoza no Ohsho, right?! I decided to arrive a bit early to avoid the crowds. When I got to the restaurant at 5:25 PM, I was prepared to wait a bit, but to my surprise, there was no line and plenty of seats available! Maybe everyone else was out having a stylish Christmas dinner instead. It was a bit anticlimactic, but at least I didn't have to wait, which was lucky! Recently, I had been neglecting "Gyoza no Ohsho" for a while, but the opportunity to visit finally came! When you think of "Gyoza no Ohsho," you can't miss out on their gyoza! They offer a variety of gyoza options, including regular gyoza, garlic-free ginger gyoza, and garlic-packed gyoza. I had tried the regular gyoza and garlic-free ginger gyoza before, but I had never tried the newly released garlic-packed gyoza, so I was excited to try it this time! I ordered: - Garlic-packed gyoza x2 - Stamina Ma-La sauce yakisoba (to share) - Tenshinhan (sweet and sour pork rice bowl, to share) - Kung Pao chicken (JSM, to share) - Draft beer (medium, for my friend) The garlic-packed gyoza was the highlight of the day. It had a strong garlic flavor, but it seemed to overpower the other ingredients. It was tasty, but if you want to enjoy the true flavor of gyoza, the regular gyoza might be a better choice. The Stamina Ma-La sauce yakisoba was ordered by my friend who loves spicy food. It had Sichuan pepper and spicy chili flakes sprinkled on top, and it got spicier as you ate it. The Hormone (offal) was chewy, and overall, it was a delicious yakisoba. I also ordered the Tenshinhan, but unfortunately, it was a bit dry, and the sauce seemed to be lacking. The Kung Pao chicken from the Just Size Menu was delicious, with crunchy vegetables and well-seasoned meat. Overall, it was a satisfying meal at "Gyoza no Ohsho," and my friend enjoyed their draft beer.

On the Tuesday after the long weekend, the weather was great, so I went to the Gyoza no Ohsho restaurant on Route Okubo for lunch. I ordered Yakisoba for 440 yen, Shrimp in Chili Sauce for 660 yen, Medium Rice for 176 yen, and since I felt like something was missing, I also got some Gyoza for 242 yen. The total was 1,518 yen, but as a premium member, I got a 7% discount (106 yen off), so the final total was 1,412 yen. The Gyoza was served pre-cooked (you could tell because it came out in 30 seconds after ordering), so I debated whether to complain about it being cold, but decided to just pay and leave quietly for today.

This day was a weekday in early September. My friend and I both agreed that we wanted to go to "Gyoza no Ohsho" for the first time in a while!!‹‹\(´ω` )/›› Among the many "Gyoza no Ohsho" locations, we decided to visit this one this time!! It's "Gyoza no Ohsho Kokudo Okubo Store"!!♪︎ヽ(*´∀︎`)ﾉ We arrived by car, and there is a large shared parking lot with a pachinko parlor on the same premises, so parking was not an issue! (bﾟv`*) As we walked towards the entrance of the restaurant, we noticed a strange smell, which was a bit bothersome in front of a food establishment! Is it coming from the drain? Or from the grease trap?? Oh Ohsho, this is something that needs improvement! d(ﾟε ﾟ；) Regarding the COVID-19 measures at this restaurant, they had hand sanitizer at the entrance, counter seats were separated by vinyl sheets, and table seats had partitions between customers. It was quite well done and left a good impression! The sweet and sour pork had a noticeable vinegar taste but felt a bit lacking. We also forgot to order the fried rice that we were looking forward to. In conclusion, "Gyoza no Ohsho" is usually known for its consistently good food, but this time, the experience was a bit disappointing.

On Saturday during the Bon festival, I hurriedly went to visit the grave. I really should have cleaned it before the Bon festival, but I couldn't take a day off from work. After paying my respects, I planned to have lunch. I wonder if it will be crowded because of the Bon holiday? The Takami beef place has a long line. Maybe we should have family barbecue instead. Oh, but here is also very crowded. The takeout customers and dining customers are all clustered together. Luckily, I didn't have to wait long and was able to order at the counter. I had fried rice, two orders of gyoza, two pieces of pork tempura, and a soup set. My wife had Tianjin rice and shrimp chili with a small beer. I had to give up on the beer. Oh, the gyoza is really delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Gyoza set meal for 918 yen, including two servings of gyoza, simmered egg, rice, soup, and pickles. Didn't say anything but the gyoza came out promptly. Tried yuzu-flavored gyoza sauce for the first time. The citrusy sourness was milder than vinegar and quite delicious.
