Located just a short walk from JR Saga Arashiyama Station, this restaurant is easy to spot with its refreshing light blue door along the street. Run by former volleyball player and London Olympics bronze medalist Yuko Sano, the shop offers crepes in a perfect size for eating on the go without making a mess. I tried the strawberry creme brulee crepe, which was just the right amount of sweetness and I finished it all before it could even spill. The variety of crepes available is also impressive.

A genuine crepe shop in a tourist spot. Their creme brulee crepes are the best! Recently, they have also started serving churros which are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with a surprisingly delicious taste. Definitely worth trying when visiting Arashiyama.

There is a cute shop along the road with soft serve ice cream and crepes. It has a European atmosphere. I tried the bacon, egg, and cheese crepe and it was delicious. The batter and filling were both tasty.
