Solo trip in Kyoto~♪ Tonight, the popular dish was sold out (> <) Feeling a bit worried, I decided to try again the next day at opening time. I arrived 5 minutes before opening and was the first in line. After opening, there was already a long line forming (゜o゜;). I'm glad I came early! I ordered the Chicken and Soy Sauce Clear Soup Ramen (830 yen) and the Kime Rice (480 yen). The restaurant had a calm and stylish atmosphere with piano jazz music playing. The menu was on a small thick paper that you could take home. The water served was very cold and refreshing. When the dishes arrived, they looked delicious! The ramen was beautiful and had thin noodles with a firm texture. The soup was rich with chicken flavor but still refreshing. The char siu was moist and flavorful. The marinated egg was perfectly gooey. The Kime Rice was visually stunning with a generous portion of rare char siu on top. Everything was so delicious that I couldn't help but finish everything. The quality of the food was high and the service was excellent. I had a great dining experience at this wonderful ramen restaurant in Kyoto. I'm so glad I found this place!

It had been about a year since my last visit. I was torn between the limited edition miso ramen, but I ended up ordering the chicken and salt light broth ramen as planned. It arrived shortly and I dug in. It was delicious as always! It reminded me of the first time I tried it and was blown away. As I was leaving, I asked and it turns out the miso ramen is only available for a limited time. I must have it again, so I will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you for the meal.

A shop inside a building in Gion. The shop has a sushi-like, high-quality Japanese atmosphere with only a counter. I had the Chicken and Soy Sauce Clear Noodles and the Rare Meshi (seared pork bowl cooked in a vacuum). I thoroughly enjoyed the elegant ramen and delicious meat bowl.

The soup was light and might appeal to those who like light ramen. Personally, I wished it had a bit more punch. The steak seemed to be cooked at a low temperature, and although I was worried about it being too rare, my stomach has been fine even after three days. The seasoning was good, although I was a bit concerned about the amount of salt and pepper used. The cost-performance was average. The noodles were slightly soft and not to my liking. The atmosphere was very nice and trendy, making it a place where younger people might want to go to impress someone. If I were younger, I would definitely use it for a date, so in that sense, the cost-performance might be good!

This time, I visited the restaurant with my wife for several days in a row. We ordered chicken and soy sauce clear soba noodles, as well as rare rice. Yesterday, we had clam and salt light soba noodles, so it was a completely different taste, with a rich chicken broth that was very delicious. The rare rice had thinly sliced pork on top that was seared, seasoned with salted kelp, and had an elegant and luxurious flavor that was very delicious! There are four types of ramen available, so I can't wait to try the remaining two!

Located right in the heart of Gion, this hidden gem of a ramen shop has only a counter for seating. The interior has an elegant atmosphere, making you feel like you've stepped into a high-end Gion ryotei. During my first visit, I ordered the clam and salt ramen, as well as the chicken rice. The ramen had a refined and delicious taste, with the clam broth and light salt soup complementing each other perfectly. The rare chicken chashu and quail egg pickled in red ginger added a nice touch. The chicken rice was also very tasty. Not only the taste, but the presentation was also beautiful, making it a place that would surely please female customers. The prices were quite reasonable, with the ramen costing around 850 yen and the chicken rice around 350 yen. I think this is quite rare for Gion, and I would consider bringing clients or a date to this restaurant!

There are also three rice bowl options available: 1) Egg over rice for 280 yen, 2) Chicken rice for 380 yen, and 3) Rare pork over rice for 480 yen. What I tried: - Chicken and soy sauce clear ramen (830 yen): The clear soy sauce soup had a nice flavor with two pieces of chicken chashu on the rim of the bowl. A whole seasoned egg was included, and the soup had a stronger umami flavor than expected. It was delicious and customizable to personal taste. - Rare pork over rice (480 yen): The rice was topped with pork that was cooked rare at the counter. As the name suggests, the pork was rare, but I found the salt level to be a bit high. The clear soy sauce ramen was delicious, and I look forward to trying the light salt-based ramen next time.

This shop, located on the first floor of a building, has a few seats at the counter and seems to be operating. The entrance is set back, so it was almost easy to miss. The interior is more like a kaiseki restaurant than a noodle shop. The appearance is beautiful and the taste is perfect. I was worried if I could finish the rare dish, but it was no use. I finished it in no time. I would like to visit this shop again.

I visited for lunch on November 22, 2022, Tuesday. There were no customers when I arrived, but later 3 people came in. I ordered the "Chicken and Salt Light Soba". It took a few minutes for the dish to arrive, and the atmosphere was nice. It matched the concept of the restaurant. And it was delicious! I was quite surprised by how delicious it was! The texture of the noodles, the richness of the soup, the rare chashu, and the atmosphere - everything felt like a fantastic ramen shop in Gion. It's been a while since I encountered such a hit taste at a ramen shop in Kyoto. The service was also very good, and I highly recommend this place to both tourists and locals. If you're in Gion, this is the place to go!

Hello, it's Fuki ( ̄Д ̄)ノ I came here in search of the delicious ramen that Akki-san was eating. It's Gion!! I received high praise for this place from a ramen enthusiast friend, so I decided to embark on this ramen enthusiast journey. Let's go, GOGOGO Triple GO ( ̄Д ̄)ノ Right in the heart of Gion, amidst the inviting night butterflies, a tipsy middle-aged man wandering around with his nose in the air, that's where I come in, but on a weekday in broad daylight, I paid a visit to this place. The shop is located on the first floor at the back of a row of buildings, here it is, #Menkei (364-5 Kiyomotocho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture). I entered the shop immediately. There are two customers inside, so I took a seat at the counter on the other side. There are 8 counter seats, and the atmosphere is very Gion-like. From the counter table to the background music playing, everything gives off a Gion vibe. The paper menu stuck on the table lists four types of ramen: chicken salt, soy sauce, clam salt, and soy sauce. I asked the waitress for a recommendation, and she said all of them are good, so I decided to go with the clam and salt ramen for a light and refreshing taste. The menu also had a rare rice dish, so I ordered that as well. After a short wait, the clam and salt ramen and the rare rice dish (1410 yen) arrived. The ramen came first, followed by the rice dish. The ramen had thin noodles with a firm texture. The clean clam broth had a delicious clam flavor, and a hint of garlic oil added to the taste. The colorful rice crackers and the rare char siu that you dip in the soup were a nice touch. The char siu was tender and flavorful. The rice dish had meat that had been seared with a burner before serving. It tasted like a Japanese-style steak bowl with salted kelp and a squeeze of lemon. Both the ramen and the rice dish were delicious and had a high-quality feel to them. Looking at the other menu items, they also offer a plate of three appetizers and chicken sashimi, as well as beer even during the day. A perfect place for a drink and a meal. After drinking, I'll have to try the chicken soy sauce ramen as well next time. Looking forward to it ( ̄Д ̄)ノ PS Oh, the pink round thing is a quail egg. I went to "Men Tei Hyakutei" in Gion. They specialize in light and refreshing ramen. I tried the Clam and Salt Ramen, which had a flavorful soup with plenty of clam essence and thin noodles. I also had the Kirea Don, which is lightly seared pork with soy sauce on rice. Lastly, I tried the Kirea Sushi, which consisted of low-temperature cooked chicken chashu and lightly seared pork sushi. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Visited here around 9:00 PM on September 6th (Tuesday) because a friend saw it on social media and suggested we go. The interior of the restaurant was like a traditional Japanese restaurant with only a counter, and the staff, a friendly lady, took our orders. The owner seemed to be preparing the dishes in the back. The lady was busy plating chicken rice at the counter. At that moment, she appeared with glasses on, looking cute. As for the ramen, it had a very light chicken broth that was easy to eat, but lacked a strong impact. It was a refined ramen. There was also a version with clam broth which I'm curious about. Personally, I think it would be better if they combined the chicken and clam broths for a more distinct flavor. Overall, it was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I felt like I might become a lunch refugee, so I entered a restaurant without any prior knowledge. I had the clam and salt light soba, which turned out to be my favorite type of ramen. It was delicious. It was light but had a strong dashi flavor and the aroma of clams lasted until the end. Next time, I want to try the chicken or soy sauce soup. As the name suggests, it's a ramen shop with a focus on chicken. The ramen here has a Chinese cuisine influence and is surprisingly light for a second meal of the day! For tonight's dinner, I visited "Men Tori Hyakutori" in Gion. Since I had the "Clam and Salt Ramen" last time, I decided to try the soy sauce ramen this second time. Let's start with the soup. I can taste the umami of scallops and other shellfish, along with soy sauce and a consomme-like flavor. The noodles are thin and straight, with a firm texture. The toppings include rare chicken chashu, creamy flavored egg, spicy bamboo shoots, and kaiware radish sprouts. The "Rare Meshi" has plenty of rare beef on top, making it quite hearty. The ramen is really delicious, I came back again! I usually don't eat ramen much, but the broth is delicious and it's great. Today I had the clam soy sauce, the clam flavor is also delicious. The bamboo shoots and egg are also great! The girls with me are also really cool. I also tried the salt flavor next to me. The salt flavor is even more refreshing. It's juicy and incredibly delicious. When my family and I went, we ordered the Chicken Salt, Chicken Soy Sauce, and Clam Salt ramen. They all come with the same thin and firm noodles that pair well with any soup. The Chicken Salt ramen for 830 yen has a rich soup base with chicken oil and a strong garlic flavor, satisfying even for men. It's not a light soup, but it is very tasty. It comes with a quail egg coated in plum, rice crackers, and rare chicken chashu. The Chicken Soy Sauce ramen for 830 yen has a similar setup to the salt version but with a seasoned soft-boiled egg instead of quail egg. It also includes well-seasoned bamboo shoots and plum shiso for flavor variation. The Clam Salt ramen for 930 yen has a clam-based broth that is meticulously prepared and appeals to women with its layers of umami. It's delicious and keeps you interested until the last drop. Discovered a new sign in a hard-to-find place and decided to check it out. The restaurant has about 8 seats at the counter and has a cozy atmosphere. The staff seemed a bit pretentious and not very approachable. When I asked for the bill in a normal tone, everyone gave me a strange look. The soup was clear and delicious, which I really enjoyed. The noodles were thin and tasty, similar to somen noodles. I would like to visit this restaurant again.
