Lunch with my son. The kind and gentle plate had a variety of dishes, each with a delicate and gentle flavor. The long yam (?) in the center, coated in garlic soy sauce, was very delicious. It is located a little away from the city, and I didn't know about it before, but I want to become a regular here.

Before noon on a national holiday. The Magohayashi bento offers a choice of 3 options, and this time I chose the middle option, called Shofuku. It's a more elaborate version of the basic Kifuku, with an extra dish and a larger portion. It looks fancy and tastes delicious, with a generous portion. It's a bit tightly packed, making it slightly difficult to eat, but it's not a big issue. My daughter and I shared it and she really liked it, so we will definitely come back.

I visited the restaurant around 12:45 on Sunday. It was about a 15-20 minute walk from JR Uji Station. The Laughing Fortune set for 900 yen was delicious with a tasteful seasoning that allows you to enjoy the flavor of the ingredients. I really wish this restaurant was closer to my home! It's the quality you would find in a department store food section in Kyoto. The stewed hamburger was packed with flavor and delicious. The grilled salmon was not too salty and you could add soy sauce to it. The round potato croquette with cheese was tasty, and the sauce had a nice balance of acidity and natural sweetness from the potatoes. The spinach rolled omelette was firm and satisfying. The kinpira burdock was not too sweet, making it the ideal kinpira. The soybean and kelp stir-fry was not overly sweet but still had great flavor. The Chinese-style salad with glass noodles was not too sour and had a nice oil aroma. The colorful carrot, bell pepper, and mushroom dish was delicious, especially the flavor of the mushrooms. The leafy greens on top of the rice were mild and tasty, and the rice itself was delicious.
