On the 10th of every month, this shop offers deep-fried coppe bread for 100 yen, so I decided to stop by again. It was a Sunday afternoon, but luckily there wasn't much of a line. So, I was able to order without much of a wait. This time, I stuck to my original plan and ordered the discounted deep-fried coppe bread with kinako (roasted soybean flour) and sugar. I was able to pay using Rakuten Edy, which I had charged with Rakuten Super Points, making it a good deal. Since I had somewhere else to go right after, I opted for takeout. They handed me the items quickly. I waited a bit before trying them. Both were subtly sweet and just right, not too sweet. It's amazing that everything is only 100 yen. It's more affordable and better than having other sweets. With a variety of options, I would like to use this shop again in the future.

Fried bread rolls for 100 yen! - The fried kinako (soybean flour) I ordered last time (quite a while ago) was delicious. - The shrimp and avocado one from last time seemed tastier, or maybe that's just my imagination? I wish they would brew a little more coffee since it's a bit lacking. The interior has an old school vibe with a relaxed atmosphere. They offer a variety of savory and sweet bread rolls, making it enjoyable to relax and spend time there.

When I come to Kyoto, I always make sure to stop by this bakery. However, lately I've been going late and my favorite item, the fresh donuts for ¥200, have been sold out. This time, I went first thing in the morning! They had them, but limited to three per family. Next time, I'll order one for each person separately. They are just so delicious! You must try them. The tuna potato for ¥305 was as expected. The beef tongue cream for ¥234 was, well, kind of different. I recommend sticking to the fresh donuts at this shop!

At 12:50, I waited as the second group for takeout. I ordered sweet red bean paste for 220 yen, egg for 250 yen, and yakisoba for 300 yen (you can add spicy mayo, but I don't like spicy, so I asked for regular mayo). The sandwich bread is prepared in the kitchen next door after you place the order! There is seating on the second floor of the restaurant where you can relax.

The bakery in the shopping street has a seating area on the second floor. Similar to a certain McDonald's, you can secure a seat in advance and then order on the first floor. It was particularly hot that day, so it was very much appreciated to be able to eat in a cool place with air conditioning. I ordered a Tappu Rich Coppe for ¥180, a beef tongue and baked corn cream stew bread for ¥230, and a cafe au lait for ¥150. I enjoyed a fun time savoring the nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of elementary school. I would like to visit again.

About 7 years ago, every time I passed by, I would exclaim, "Oh, look, it's Coppepan!" Probably on the 1300th time, when I said, "Oh, it's Coppepan again!" they asked me, "Do you want to come in?" I was so happy that I ended up ordering about 5 of them. I got the ones with egg and tuna, shrimp and curry, and something like an anpan, which came out to around 1300 yen. My friend seemed satisfied as they happily chomped away. I was very satisfied too.

Visited with a friend. Ordered on the first floor and then went up to the eat-in space on the second floor. The first floor had a school-like atmosphere, while the second floor had a retro feel similar to a certain Komeda coffee shop. Surprisingly, it was not crowded for being in a lively area of Kyoto. The building may be old, as there were creaking sounds like in an old house. The bread was delicious, but the piroshki was smaller compared to my friend's vegan sandwich. It was filled with handmade spring roll-like filling with glass noodles. The milk coffee tasted like coffee milk.

Today's breakfast was melon pan from "Pan no Tajima Shinkyogoku Store," a specialty shop for coppe pan (bread rolls) in the Doutor Coffee chain located in Shinkyogoku shopping street. It seems that this shop is only found in Kansai. There is always a long line, but today it was surprisingly empty so I stopped by. There is a seating area on the second floor, but today I got the "Coppe Melon Pan (180 yen)" to go. As the name suggests, there is cookie dough on top of the coppe pan. It has a good volume like coppe pan, making it suitable for breakfast rather than just a snack.

I had always wanted to go there, but I often passed by because there was always a line. However, this time I decided to stop by. It's a shop in the Doutor Coffee chain. It was Sunday afternoon, so there was still a line as usual. But the turnover rate was good, so I didn't have to wait long to place my order. This was my first time there, and since I had already eaten, I ordered the Tappuriccho Coppe, Coppe Fresh Donut, and Coffee Milk. Unfortunately, they don't accept Doutor cards like they do at the Pan no Tajima in Kanto, so I used my Suica IC card to pay. The items were handed to me fairly quickly. There is seating on the second floor for dining in. I tried the items right away, and they were all sweet and quite delicious. The Coffee Milk tasted similar to Doutor Coffee. Each item was in the 200 yen range, so it was cheap and worth it. It's better to eat here than to try other sweets that are more expensive. They have a wide variety of items, so I would like to visit again.

Tap Rich Coppe - 180 yen Avocado Shrimp - 380 yen Coppe Cream Donut - 190 yen Rum Raisin - 280 yen The flavors were just as I imagined, and delicious as expected! The Tap Rich Coppe had a good amount of cream inside and even though it was small, one was satisfying. The Coppe Cream Donut was incredibly delicious when eaten cold!

I arrived at 4:00 pm, so I was expecting it, but I couldn't buy the raw donuts!! You can buy up to 3 per person if they are available. I came to Kyoto for the raw donuts, but unfortunately, they were sold out. So, I reluctantly ordered Custard, Rich, and Sugar flavors. The Rich flavor was a bit too rich for me, but the Custard was delicious with its cold texture. The Sugar flavor was also fluffy and tasty. I wish they would make more raw donuts. By the way, they usually sell out around 2:00 pm. If you plan to visit, go early.

Second visit. The pinnacle of savory bread, more like a "coppe pan". If this was at the station, I would buy it every day. It's on a different level. The shrimp cutlet with egg-like one is delicious. There's a possibility that all the egg-like ones are delicious. The shop is also stylish. Is it related to Doutor?

Salmon cream cheese for 380 yen was really delicious, with plenty of filling. I'm not sure about the usual price for a coppe pan, but I can't forget Maruki Bakery's coppe pan. It seemed like other fried bread items were more popular, so I might try those next time.

I found the "Koppe Fresh Doughnuts" on Instagram and was drawn to the creamy filling. There were many other types of Koppe breads, but I forgot to take pictures. They were all delicious, but I think the fresh doughnuts were the best. Thank you for the meal!

I saw on Instagram and really wanted to try the donuts made by a coppe bread specialty shop. I decided that I would definitely go when I visit Kyoto. The shop is called Pan no Tajima Shinkyogoku Store. It's actually a coppe bread specialty shop run by Doutor. It's only available in Kyoto, Shinkyogoku. I actually visited for the second time. The first time, I went around 6 pm and they were sold out. The second time, I went around 4 pm and they were sold out again! I asked the staff, and they said it's better to come around 3 pm if I want to get some. This time, I couldn't get the donuts, so I decided to have some coppe bread before leaving. They have a variety of coppe bread including savory and sweet ones, fried bread, and melon bread. I got the Rich Coppe Bread for 180 yen and the Milk Tea for 300 yen. The coppe bread was fried and had plenty of cream inside. It was crispy because they fry it after taking the order. The cream had a rich milky flavor, and it made me happy. I also bought some savory and sweet coppe bread for takeout, and they were fluffy and well-received. I will make sure to go earlier next time. Thank you for the delicious meal. Breakfast option. At 8 o'clock in the morning in Shinkyogoku. I definitely want to avoid McDonald's breakfast. Tsutsu soba is also not the right choice. So I went to Tajima, which opens at 8 o'clock. I have used Pan no Tajima in Koenji before, but the impression was not strong. So, Tajima in Kyoto. I took out Corned Beef & Potato Salad (350 yen) and Ham Salad (300 yen). The Corned Beef Potato Salad had a surprising amount of volume, with a combination of Corned Beef and Potato Salad, even though Corned Beef is not very common. The Ham Salad was standard but had the expected taste.

Fluffy and voluminous Coppepan! I devoured two of them. I personally think that meat croquette bread and yakisoba bread are classics when it comes to Coppepan, so I chose those. Sweet ones also looked delicious, but for Coppepan, I prefer something with a salty flavor. Both were delicious. The flavors were strong and made me really thirsty. It's nice to have this kind of food once in a while.

I returned to Kawaramachi area from Arashiyama. I still have time before dinner. I found a bakery while looking for bread for the next morning. They mainly sell sandwich bread with various fillings. I ended up buying the following three items: - Strawberry jam and margarine (200 yen): The coppe bread tasted nostalgic and delicious when chilled in the fridge. - Shrimp cutlet and egg (350 yen): I toasted it and enjoyed the egg more than the shrimp cutlet. - Salmon cream cheese (380 yen): The cream cheese was plentiful, but I wished there was more salmon. It was more like a salad and cream cheese sandwich. Thank you for the meal!

I bought three fried coppe buns for breakfast, sugar, chocolate banana, and red bean margarine, as a companion for a walk (I'm sorry I don't have a picture of the bread). I didn't consider the size when choosing, but one size was quite large and I thought I might have bought too much before eating, but surprisingly I ate it all in one go. They were all delicious and satisfying. Personally, the fried coppe was the most delicious, and I was happy that I could warm it up. This shop apparently has a limited edition cocoa-flavored fried coppe available on the 10th of every month, so I would like to go and buy it if I have the chance!
