FAUCHON PATISSERIE & BOUTIQUE offers takeout coffee as well. There is a small seating area for dining in as well. The macarons and cakes displayed in the showcase are adorable! I thought it would be nice to purchase some and enjoy them in the room. You can also buy items for your room, some of which are exclusive to the hotel. They also sell items such as pink teapots that are used within the hotel. There are various exclusive items available here, making it tempting to buy many things. Since you can enter directly from the street, it is easy to stop by even if you are not staying at the hotel. I purchased the "One Night in Kyoto" green tea flavor and the eggplant and ricotta cheese spread. The tea was not too sweet and had a pleasant aroma, making it easy to drink and pair with different foods. This item is exclusive to this location. I also bought the eggplant and ricotta spread to go with the mini toasts in the room. It had a refreshing mint flavor, making it more enjoyable than expected. I was curious about the other spreads as well!

This is a patisserie on the first floor of the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto. They sell sweets that are displayed at the sweets bar. This time, I had a box of 6 macarons. I've been indulging in macarons during this trip, and they are truly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Foshion jam was tasted. Despite its appearance, it is relatively easy to eat. However, it has a unique taste with a slight sourness. It has a shelf life of over 2 years, so it can be enjoyed slowly. It may be a matter of personal preference. It goes well with croissants, but I prefer jams like apple jam, so I give it 3 stars.

I went to buy some fashion blend tea. It has a lovely fragrance of roses and lavender. The tea called "Afternoon in Paris" is also delicious. The macarons and tea are directly imported from France. Considering the time to take it home, I bought some sablés. Next time, I would like to have afternoon tea on the 2nd floor.

After enjoying morning at the Fochon hotel dining, I visited the boutique right at opening time. The boutique was much smaller compared to Paris shops, but the pink-themed interior had a good Fochon vibe. They had Fochon's signature teas, macarons, cookies, pink teapots, champagne, and craft beer. After wandering around, I ended up buying pajamas and cookies as souvenirs. I got a stamp card where I could get a free gift after collecting all stamps. The gift was Fochon's afternoon tea with a one-year validity, so I decided to revisit Kyoto. The souvenirs didn't have a Kyoto touch, but they were enough to create memories. Later, I found out about the BizBiz (kiss) series, which are exclusive to this boutique. They have macarons in lip-shaped cans and cakes in BizBiz shapes. This made me look forward to my next visit. Somehow, my Kyoto trip turned into a Fochon obsession.

I came to Kyoto for some body maintenance, so I decided to stop by the newly opened Fochon Hotel. When I entered the hotel and told the concierge that I wanted to have tea or do some shopping, I was informed that the café closes at 5 pm on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) and the pastry & boutique Fochon closes at 6 pm (open every day). Since it was 5:50 pm on a Wednesday, I immediately went shopping. I purchased four macarons: Vanilla Raspberry Macaron for 350 yen, which was my favorite this time with a strong raspberry flavor and a good sweet and sour taste. Vanilla Macaron for 350 yen, a classic vanilla macaron that I always buy, and Fochon's version was rich in vanilla and reminiscent of condensed milk. Black Currant Macaron for 280 yen, recommended as the seasonal macaron with a discount of 70 yen. It had a nice floral fragrance and a raspberry jam-like flavor with a slight sourness, although it's actually black currant. It was delicious and worth trying. Morello Cherry Macaron for 350 yen, with an American cherry-like flavor, tasty but I think it loses to the other three flavors. Petite Madeleine for 100 yen, I bought two bite-sized madeleines, which I imagine are used for the café's afternoon tea. They were delicious and reasonably priced, perfect for a small treat even if you're already full! Raspberry Rusk for 750 yen, an 8-piece rusk topped with white chocolate and raspberry. It exceeded my expectations in terms of deliciousness, and I even whispered "Queen of Rusk". It's a great item for gifting, although it doesn't last beyond the day. I also bought a shopping bag for 220 yen, and the total came to 2,500 yen. It was a delicious meal. I'll visit the café next time. Even though I can't go to Paris due to the pandemic, I'm happy that I can still enjoy the same macarons!

This is my third visit here. I walked from Nishiki Market. I love Nagoya girls, this place. Kyoto is busy. There are so many places I want to go to (;∀;) You can buy macarons imported directly from Paris and exclusive products only available at the Fauchon Hotel in Japan. Only here! You can't buy them anywhere else. The counter is lined with beautiful macarons and cakes. Since it was Valentine's season, they were also selling chocolates. The chocolates were delicious too, around 300 yen each. They were individually packaged in beautiful boxes and tasted great. The macarons here are extremely delicious. They are like nothing else. When in Kyoto, I will definitely buy macarons here. They may be a bit pricey when you think about it, but they are worth it (;∀;) I'll say it again, directly imported from Paris!!!! The macarons in cute lip-shaped cases cost 4,000 yen, but I already bought them on my first visit, so this time I bought the home-use free case macarons. A box of 6 costs 3,000 yen. In addition to cakes and tea, there are also exclusive Fauchon Hotel goods available. I bought an umbrella last time, but this time I bought coasters. Pink and black, 2 for 1,980 yen. If you don't buy them when they're available, they'll be gone. The cakes and macarons here can also be enjoyed at the restaurant. The famous lip-shaped cake is really cute and a little sweet but delicious. This time, I had a selection of baked goods delivered to someone I'm grateful for. They cost about 3,000 yen for a wooden gift box, and they were wrapped in a black box. Including shipping, it came to 6,750 yen, but it was nice to be able to give limited edition products as a gift.

On Monday at 12:10, I heard that FAUCHON's craft beer was released in September, and as someone who is into craft beer, I was excited. Since they had shortened operating hours and I didn't think I would finish work by closing time (6:00 pm), I snuck out during my lunch break to buy it. However, it was sold out, so I received a notification for restocking and asked them to hold some for me. I bought La Délicieuse for 660 yen each, totaling 220 yen for the shopper. The name means "delicious" in Japanese, and it has a distinctive red color. Each bottle was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap. There wasn't much information on the collaboration craft beer on the Tanba Kingdom website, so I poured it into a Spiegelau craft beer glass for American Wheat Beer. However, the foam didn't form, and the color was beet red, but the taste didn't have any remarkable features or pleasant acidity that suited my preference. I'll try enjoying it in a different glass next time. The following week, I came out during my lunch break to buy something to send to a colleague leaving the workplace (a woman in her 20s). I bought a box of 6 macarons for 3,024 yen, along with a shopper for 220 yen. Since I didn't have much time to decide, I chose this box where you can't pick the flavors. I haven't tried them myself, but I hope they enjoy it. It's light, doesn't take up much space, and is easy to carry, which I think is good. Thank you for the meal.

my flowery days

When I visited the restaurant for lunch last time, I thought about buying a cake to take home, but I was concerned about carrying it around, so I decided to eat it during my stay at the hotel! When I was communicating with the hotel staff about my stay, I made sure to ask if it was okay to bring a cake into my room. Although I could have made a reservation in advance, I was unsure about when to eat it, so I decided to visit without a reservation. When I arrived at the hotel, they were aware of this and checked which cakes were available during check-in. Despite having dinner planned, I shared a mille-feuille and a lemon tart. If you have a specific cake in mind, it's best to reserve it in advance as it may sell out depending on the time. Especially on weekends, many people come for afternoon tea, and even the baked goods made in the shop may be sold out before you leave, so it's better to buy them in advance. The lemon tart had a strong lemon flavor and the mille-feuille was not too sweet, just as I wanted. Once I got into my room, I immediately enjoyed the cake and coffee, spending a relaxing time. The tea lounge is always full during afternoon tea hours, so it's recommended to have cake in your room during your stay.

This is a time-shifted post. The visit date may not necessarily match the posting date. I enjoyed a delicious macaron as a welcome drink. They also sell baked goods and cakes. Of course, they have a variety of teas as well. I chose a rose and black currant macaron, each priced at 350 yen. The rose flavor was classic and the black currant had a nice hint of acidity. Importing directly really makes a difference. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

"The 3rd to 9th floors of the Fauchon Hotel Kyoto are guest rooms, but other floors and the spa can be used by non-guests. On the 1st floor, there is the Pâtisserie & Boutique Fauchon, a boutique where you can casually stop by. The store layout is like a cosmetic department in a department store, with Fauchon's signature sweets and pastries displayed like jewels in the showcase. A variety of items are available, including the newly created green tea-based flavored tea 'onenightinkyoto,' vegetable spreads, and the highlight - 14 varieties of Fauchon macarons imported directly from Paris, France. These macarons are served generously during check-in, breakfast, and afternoon tea, providing the authentic taste of Paris. The macarons are moist and rich, with flavors like black currant (cassis), hazelnut, vanilla raspberry rose, pistachio, milk chocolate, chocolate passion, and coffee. The cakes also look delicious. Fauchon is also known for Le Bisous Bisous, a cake shaped like red lips, representing the French greeting 'bisous.' There is a small seating area where you can enjoy Fauchon's delicious treats while overlooking the street. Fauchon first opened in Japan in 1972 at Takashimaya department store, and the Kyoto branch at Takashimaya's food floor has been a popular spot for a long time. Fauchon is a pioneer in French food brands in Japan, and the Fauchon Kyoto boutique is a representation of this legacy."

Since I was already nearby, I decided to stop by a boutique and do some shopping. There were tempting cakes on display, but they needed to be refrigerated, making it difficult to carry around. However, macarons are easy to eat on the go, so my husband and I decided to each have one. When it comes to macarons, Pierre Hermé immediately comes to mind, and my husband loves Hermé's macarons. It turns out that Hermé is actually from this area. As soon as we left the store, we indulged in our macarons. I had tried these macarons with friends during afternoon tea, and they were delicious as always. For home, I bought some caramel-flavored cookies with cream filling that were absolutely addictive. They disappeared quickly! The price is a bit high, but the taste is worth it, and the packaging and shopping bag are lovely, making them great for small gifts or souvenirs. I would definitely like to stop by again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the treat!

I requested a reservation at the pastry shop on the first floor before the afternoon tea reservation time to reserve the popular BizBiz (kiss) series, which can only be purchased at the hotel in Kyoto, other than the main store in Paris. These products are all imported from the Paris main store and are limited in quantity, often selling out quickly. The stylish and luxurious interior of the shop, with its standard macarons, teas, cakes, cookies, and champagne, creates an exciting atmosphere. The customer service is of high quality, with detailed and courteous explanations provided, making the shopping experience very pleasant. The BizBiz-shaped macaron tin (4104 yen) contains 7 macarons, and the flavors cannot be chosen in advance, but they are all delicious. The macarons are larger than usual with a generous amount of cream filling, providing a satisfying experience. The unique lip-shaped tin adds an extra touch of charm, making it a great gift for macaron lovers. The BizBiz Lychee & Raspberry (1200 yen) was incredibly delicious, perfect as a souvenir after an afternoon tea. The delicate BizBiz Coco Exotic (1200 yen), with mango and coconut milk mousse, was also tempting, especially in its attractive red lip shape. The Shallot au Pêche (720 yen), with apple compote shaped like a rose, was visually appealing but had a simple taste. I would like to purchase the BizBiz-shaped cakes again in winter, as they are not available during the summer.

Opened in March of the 3rd year of Reiwa, this shop is located on the first floor of the Fauchon Hotel. First important point: the macarons here are directly imported from Fauchon in Paris and can only be purchased at Fauchon Hotel Kyoto. Second important point: exclusive Fauchon Hotel products are available for purchase here, which can only be bought at the two Fauchon locations in Paris and Kyoto. The shop has a limited seating area for eating in, but it is currently closed due to the state of emergency. Takeout is available, and I purchased a macaron gift set for about 4,300 yen. The Fauchon umbrella, priced at around 5,800 yen, is also very cute. The shop also charges for shopping bags, which are 210 yen each. The rumored lip cake is yogurt-flavored and incredibly cute, while the eclair may be a bit too sweet. The macarons, directly imported from Fauchon in Paris, are unbelievably delicious and worth the trip to Kyoto. The reviewer regrets not buying more, as they only have one macaron left and will have to return to Kyoto to purchase more. Overall, experiencing both happiness and regret, the reviewer concludes that such is life.

On May 9, 2021, in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto, I made a reservation for lunch at the top floor restaurant of the newly opened "Foujou Hotel Kyoto" in March this year, but I arrived early and decided to check out the "Patisserie & Boutique" on the first floor. "Foujou" was founded in Paris in 1886 and has been selling high-end pastries, macarons, chocolates, jams, teas, and more. In 2018, they opened a luxury lifestyle hotel called "Foujou Hotel Paris" on Place de la Madeleine in Paris, and in 2021, they opened their second hotel, "Foujou Hotel Kyoto," in Kyoto, which is a sister city to Paris. On the first floor, the "Patisserie & Boutique Foujou" appeared with a pink facade exuding luxury. The store offers products directly imported from France, as well as sweets recreated by Kyoto's pastry team that are sold in Paris. I purchased the following items: BizBiz Lychee & Raspberry for 1200 yen, BizBiz Coco Exotic for 1200 yen, and Cake for Mom for 780 yen. My friend chose the "Opening Limited Macaron Box" with over 3000 yen for 6 macarons because when it comes to "Foujou," it's all about macarons. I opted for 3 stylish cakes to take out. Later that day, after dinner, I enjoyed the sweets with my friends. "Biz" means "kiss" in French. The "BizBiz Lychee & Raspberry" features a red lip-shaped cake with a refined lychee aroma followed by the refreshing acidity of raspberry. The yellow lip-shaped cake, "BizBiz Coco Exotic," spreads a tropical scent with coconut dough, banana, and mango puree mousse. On this day, which was Mother's Day, the "Cake for Mom" is a limited-time cake dedicated to Mother's Day. My mother passed away two years ago, and we were observing her third memorial service, but due to the pandemic and the state of emergency, I couldn't return to my hometown in Yamaguchi. I ate the cake in memory of my mother. Bon appétit!

I visited Fauchon Hotel Kyoto, which opened in March this year. I had a lunch reservation at the top floor restaurant 'Restaurant Grand Café Fauchon', but arrived at the hotel earlier than planned, so I checked out the 'Patisserie&Boutique' on the 1st floor. The store had a fancy yet calm atmosphere, and the products were displayed nicely. They had a variety of teas, cakes, macarons, jams, etc. I was hoping to find some Kyoto-exclusive items, but didn't see any. However, I found a limited edition macaron box for the opening, so I bought one. The opening limited edition macaron box cost 3,024 yen (6 pieces) and included pistachio, vanilla, chocolate passion, chocolate, raspberry, and lemon flavors. They were all delicious, but my favorites were pistachio and chocolate passion. The texture of the macarons was crispy on the outside, which I liked. Thank you for the meal!

Featuring a modern design with bright pink and gold accents, this fashionable cafe in Foshan is popular among women for its Instagrammable interior. On the second floor of the hotel, you can enjoy cakes and tea from 5 pm to 7 pm (last order). We tried two cakes: 1) "Abelana" (780 yen tax included) - a seasonal limited edition dessert with praline ganache and mousse coated in chocolate, perfect for chocolate lovers. 2) "Bis Bis Lychee & Raspberry" (1200 yen tax included) - a beautiful pink lip-shaped cake with raspberry mousse and cream, a bit pricey but worth trying when visiting Foshan. Next time, I'd like to try their Afternoon Tea set.

Foshion Hotel has opened in Kyoto, and I was wondering what kind of cake to buy at the shop inside. It was a hot day, so I wanted a cake that wouldn't get too messy. I chose the Averana (780 yen), Eclair Kyoto (580 yen), Eclair Chocolat (580 yen), and a Foshion paper bag (200 yen). The cakes I bought had rich flavors, similar to each other. I should have bought a different type of cake, but it was just too hot. I heard they also have a salon, so I'll try their cakes there next time!

Fochon has opened its first hotel in Japan, the second in the world, in Kyoto! It has a total of 59 rooms. In the boutique, you can buy macarons imported directly from France, which are only available at Fochon Hotel Kyoto. The top floor houses a restaurant run by Chef Cedric Maton. He has taught at Le Cordon Bleu in Tokyo, Bangkok, and Kobe, as well as at the three-star restaurant "Hotel de Ville." The cake I bought was delicious, especially the lip-shaped pink cake for 1,200 yen (including tax). The macarons imported from France were also very tasty. I purchased Flan T/O for 574 yen (excluding 8% tax), BisouBisou Coco Exortique T/O for 1,111 yen (BizBiz Lychee & Raspberry), Tarte Fraise T/O for 769 yen (Strawberry Tart), and 4 Macarons for 324 yen each (Vanilla, Hazelnut, Lemon, Chocolate). Thank you for the delicious meal.

On Thursday at 18:45, I visited Patisserie & Boutique Fauchon. After having tea at Salon de The Fauchon on the 2nd floor, I decided to buy some pastries to take home because the Bizbiz I had at the salon was so delicious. The interior was luxurious, with overwhelming displays of tea and jams. The showcase was filled with macarons, cakes, and baked goods, including the Bizbiz I had earlier. I chose two Millefeuille (769 yen each) and an Avelana (694 yen), totaling 2,631 yen including tax. They carefully packed the pastries in a box for me. They mentioned that the shopper bag was available for an additional 220 yen. I wasn't sure if I needed it, but the bag was cute and perfectly sized for the cake box, so I was glad I got it. There weren't many customers, so on my way out, they carried the bag to the entrance and handed it to me there, giving me a polite send-off. When I got home, my family enjoyed the pastries. The Millefeuille and Avelana were of high quality, with plenty of vanilla beans used (as expected). The texture was excellent and addictive. It had been a while since I had such delicious cakes that impressed me. I mentioned to my daughter that they could compete for the top spots among cake shops in Kyoto, and she agreed. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
